  1. We restructured him prior to 2020 guaranteeing his next 2 years base salary. As he opted out in 2020 that year did not count. So he has a cap hit of $7.7mm made up of $5.1mm guaranteed base and $2.6mm prorated signing bonus. This is the predicament. Per NFLPA agreement When a player is released (or retires), the team is relieved of having the pay the player's base salary (P5) and any Roster Bonus that may become due after that, but still will need to account for any Signing or Option Bonus prorations that haven't yet counted against the Salary Cap.
  2. I am at a loss here. Does this mean we play a 4-3 as our base now because our front 4 is better? Wouldn't we be inclined to stay with our base nickel even more so?
  3. Really a weak player. Smallish to be a border CB. He has only 25 starts with 2 teams with poor pass defenses. MIN didn't elect to re-sign at end of first contract and have decided to pass on him again after 1 yr deal. And CIN let him go after 10 starts in 2020. Its a pass for me.
  4. Good question. Was his college # as an Aggie.
  5. Shaq Lawson to the front please? Shaq Lawson?
  6. LOL. Nothing was worse than the Bryant Johnson watch aka the Panda Watch! Dude wound up with career catch total of 319 for 3948 yds and 16 TDs. Career catch rate was only 49%!!! Over a 9 year career! Man Diggs will blow those #s away in his 1st 3 Years as a Bill, already has 18 TDs, 230 catches and 2760 Yds!
  7. I just realized Levi had 6 regular season career picks with 2 of those vs Steelers. Recency Bias? Either qway they stole him here. Given Cap situation at OBD I believe CB2 and WR 3 will come to Bills via draft Rds 1 and 2.
  8. per league When a player is released (or retires), the team is relieved of having the pay the player's base salary (P5) and any Roster Bonus that may become due after that, but still will need to account for any Signing or Option Bonus prorations that haven't yet counted against the Salary Cap. Guess this is the $7.7mm everyone says we would have to eat.
  9. My guess is 6-1 so we can get Edmunds off the field on run downs 😎
  10. worked for the Rams! The baddest men in the whole damn town Badder than old King Kong And meaner than junkyard dogs
  11. He has not returned a punt as a pro and only 23 in college where he was nothing special. 3 pro teams have decided not to let him even try. Might be worth a try on KOs only. Interesting WFT never let him return these either. No returns since 2019 and only a career 19 YPR average
  12. Ok we will see if Hall as a pro > McKissic Remember OBD only gave out $2-3mm per year with no draft pick for McKissic and will likley have the 1 year escape hatch in contract. And a key element is OBD is looking at 2022 performance for the 2nd RB on this team And we have Singletary already. If no Motor I could see the need for Hall being greater.
  13. Ok I will bite, so where does Breece Hall go in the draft in your estimation?
  14. And he lined up in wrong positions. FOCUS!!!
  15. My guess is you missed 2001 Larry Centers Pro Bowl year here (80 catches) and the Thurman Thomas 1989-1994 years (327 catches) too. Thurman on the draw play was deadly btw
  16. 2nd string as will take Moss's spot. Good 3rd down back with WR receiving skills and better blocker in pass pro than Moss
  17. Wow some real faulty logic here. Immigrants get no preference once they make the roster in the NFL. Obada really struggled vs the run - especially when moved inside. My little sister could set the edge better. He is Just Another Guy in this league at DE and warrants a veteran league minimum contract at this juncture - not a threefold pay increase. Sorry to rain on your parade here
  18. Here's a PFF take on him in 2019 while still with Titans. https://www.pff.com/news/underrated-players-on-every-nfl-team TENNESSEE TITANS: DI DAQUAN JONES In his sixth season as a Tennessee Titan, interior defensive lineman DaQuan Jones is having a career year and currently ranks 10th in PFF grade at 84.1. Jones is a true nose tackle, and the data shows he’s one of the best in the business. When lined up at nose tackle, Jones is fourth in PFF grade and has produced 12 run stops (tied for the most at that position). And another from last year in Carolina https://catcrave.com/2021/11/18/daquan-jones-overlooked-spark-carolina-panthers/
  19. As an older player dealing with an injury (nerve issue in Shoulder), Saffold can appreciate the training staff, equipment and rehab setup for sure!
  20. https://www.buffalobills.com/team/players-roster/isaiah-hodgins/ Let's clarify who you are talking about.
  21. No to a 270 lb 1 Technique DT
  22. Maybe TD thought McGahee was a LB. Could have avoided the Keith Ellison, Koy Wire and John Digregorio experiments
  23. That's exaclty what I said to him. I dont think anything hurt worse than seeing Thurman in a Dolphins jersey. Just realized this was 2 months after season ended with home run throwback and the playoff drought was on. Yikes!
  24. Like the day in 2000 when OBD let Bruce, Andre and Thurman go.
