Who has been the biggest disappointment?
BananaB replied to Milanos Milano's topic in The Stadium Wall
Davis, McKenzie and Knox.. How can it be anyone else? Not sure how anyone can put Shakir on the list, he’s lining up in numerous positions and seeing the field very little. You ain’t replacing Knox and Gabe with anyone so the only change can be Shakir and McKenzie. Let the rook play and focus on one position. -
12 targets, 4 catches and 4 drops the last two games and that’s down your list? I agree about McKenzie. Our superstar qb can’t get open and catch the ball himself. As bad as Josh played without him It would of been a lot worse.
-
Davis had two drops yesterday. One ended a drive the other ended the game. McKenzie is a ***** ghost besides his sweeps. Both have made big plays but after that they have both become unreliable for basic plays.
-
Shakir has hardly seen the field. His only game where he got a decent amount of snaps our O looked the best it has all season. McKenzie was suppose to fill that roll and he isn’t working out.

Can we talk about how 2 teams in a row ran it down our throat...
BananaB replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall
Man we are getting overpowered in the nickel every year and these coaches sit back like adding a LBer for extra help will kill our defense. This is a yearly thing for the Bills. When the O struggles teams are content just pounding the rock on us. I -

I bet you Dodson can shed a block and be more effective stopping a power run game then Taron…. -

We were getting pushed around by heavy set offences and we continued to trot 5 dbs on the field. Despite the injuries the defensive scheme was a huge part of the problem. -
People are starting to realize. Last week when this was posted a lot of people laughed and thought it was garbage.

It’s not about the 20 points it’s the long sustained drives and 20 points. The Jets got the ball on their 4 and walked down the field to our 5 passing the ball once. That’s when the game was on the line. Before half and after half was alot of the same thing, our O was sitting on the bench for what seemed like forever. sure guys are out but Leslie and Sean gotta adjust instead of watching the d get manhandled. If these long drives are ending in points, what’s the big worry in giving up chunk plays? Atleast thst gets our O back on the field and helps them find a rhythm. -
The blueprint is in, Buffalo has been figured out

If Allen’s checking down more then usual I’m guessing they ain’t as open as you believe. On top of that Gabes catching under 50% of the balls thrown to him. McKenzie is not filling Beasleys roll very well either, that’s why he’s not getting the targets. It’s the first year the two of them are starters and both are struggling. It’s been overlooked because we were winning. -

Or it’s because no one else besides Diggs is making plays and he knows that ain’t enough and forcing *****. He’s been checking down to our RBs more then he ever has. Third down comes you know he’s looking beyond the chains. We need more guys making plays, that’s what this comes down to. -

Edmunds is playing solid football. We brought in big guys and beeefed up the dline to stop the run and it has paid off. Now teams are bringing in extra guys to help with the blocking and it’s working. Blame the coaching staff for sticking with the nickel. We are overmatched and easily overpowered in these situations. -
This season it really is just Allen and Diggs

Davis has been targeted 12 times the past two games and has 4 catches and I think 4 drops….. Confidence in him gotta be running out if it hasn’t already. -
Blows my mind we played Zach Wilson and we more worried about the pass then the run. Jets last drive was textbook of what happens to this D a couple times a year if our O can’t put up points.
-
The offense looked the best it has all year with Shakir playing the slot. Sure it was against Pitt but he looked more like a natural WR then McKenzie. Didn’t need gadgets plays to get him involved with the O. Got separation down field and made a huge catch in triple coverage.
-
Gabes a problem right now but I think more of the problem is in the slot. Our #2 never really lit it up the past couple years but Beas was always a great security blanket for Allen. Right now Allen is dishing it off to RBs more then he ever did in the past. No team in the league is more dependant on one player then the Bills are of Allen. This season he has played phenomenal for the most part, but if teams slow him down we just don’t have the playmakers that will take the weight off his shoulders That game against Pitt Shakir was getting open downfield which is something McKensie hasn’t done all season long.

90 yards in 6 minutes to close the game. All were run plays except one. 😂😂😂
-
Pick 2 the ball was to Gabe and he went outside instead of in. Every one besides Diggs is out of sync with Allen. Shakir has showed he can make plays but he’s rarely on the field. Davis and McKenzie have showed they ain’t the answers with a lot more time on the field. Best bet is to have Shakir take snaps from McKenzie and try to get him a little rhythm with Allen. The Os best game this season was when he played slot
-
Are you new to watching the Bills? They are 100% not gonna change. A few times a year this happens to us and is really noticeable in games like these where are O struggles to score.
-
Allen had a bad game but in all fairness he can’t do it all himself game in game out. These days are gonna happen until someone besides Diggs starts making plays. Jaquon Johnson. Dude played flat out terrible. Leslie and McDermott… Second game in a row your getting gashed on D and they are too stubborn to put and extra LBer on the field.
-
Right now it’s basically the Allen/Diggs show. It’s the way it’s been all season and it wasn’t gonna last. Sure Davis had made big plays here and there but when they ain’t there he isn’t making the basic plays. Allen is checking down way more then usual because the WRs are not getting open. Maybe it’s Dorsey not putting these guys in good position. McKenzie is a ghost out there a lot as well. He’s suppose to be filling Beas’s roll who was always a safety outlet for Allen but that’s not the case. Allen is asked to do way to much because Diggs is the only consistent player on O besides Allen. The bigger question now is how long the coaching staff gives someone else a shot.
