What did you think I was talking about when I said spending too much money on depth. They sign average players that have shown little and hope they make a big impact when they get to our team. That’s really not trying to land big impact players, it’s hoping you get lucky and save a couple bucks

I think you also gotta question development. Early in MCDs tenure a lot of young guys seen the field and played really well for us. Lately, not so much. Maybe it’s not getting on the field, hard to get to top level on practice alone. McD is the guy who started Peterman over Allen on opening week so there is that. Kind of crazy just thinking about that now 😂.

You don’t think we wasted money on dline over the years? How about all the guys that have shown flashes on oline we have brought in over the years that never made any impact? Miller was the first big contract they doubled down on. They took a chance on Allen’s contract early and it paid off. Did the same for Knox and drafted a TE next April. Who knows what will happen to Oliver. Look at what we did at WR this off-season, not really the upgrade we are looking for. Bills go to the flea market and are scared to put all their money on quality, instead ration it out on quantity.

Those guys you named are the exception and there is very few of them. Paul Rabil might be the most endorsed player of all time and his net worth right now is 5 mil. He finished college how long ago? Retired a couple years ago but is still heavily involved in the PLL, how is that well North of a million a year? And I’m not judging the game on how much money these guys make. I love the sport, best thing I ever did was start playing again after my brother passed away. Helped me get through some tough times. Just don’t think many people realize how these guys live.

No lacrosse player is making a million a year just to play. NLL and PLL top players get around 40k a season. If they play in both that still isn’t even close. Most guys play in multiple leagues chasing money. I think the PLL isn’t letting guys play MSL or WLA anymore while their season is going on so that will cut out some pocket change.
