They have been trying to upgrade the front for half a decade. They drafted like 4 d lineman in the top 2 rounds, then went out and signed a 30+ edge rusher to mega deal. Bills are treading water. The same issues we had a few years ago are some of the same problems now. Every year it’s the same discussions on this board. They either let a shitload of points fast, or they let up a normal amount but let the opposing team chew up clock so our O gotta sit on the bench. Both ways are hard to watch. I’m so sick of this defensive system. No way NE should come in and hold the ball for about 15 of the first 17 minutes of play and score 2 TDs. The D is a problem, it’s always been a problem in big games and games like this makes you have zero confidence in the system and the player. If ok to not show everything, but looking sloppy shouldn’t be in the cards

They were down 14-0 and held the ball forever in 2 minutes into the 2nd quarter. Then they scored, and then they were in 2 minute mode at the end of the half. Basically if they didn’t play perfect out of the gate they were screwed because our D could not get off the field. 16 minutes were off the clock and NE had the ball for 14 of them and they were up 14-0. The start of the game could not of gone any worse.

McD will not change his system to get the best out his players. That’s coaching. How many times did Bill change his system in NE over the years. Did it on O and D consistently depending on the players.
