Here’s the thing, you’re going by wins and losses but is Josh really letting his team down in clutch situations? He puts them ahead or in position to tie a lot, it’s not his fault they seem to ***** it up when he walks off the field.

How clutch was Josh in 2023? No other QB even came close

Until the post season and the final 2 minutes of games -
They play their rookies instead of bringing in vets that will keep them on the bench.

Bills should sign Blaine Gabbert as backup QB
BananaB replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don’t give a ***** about the backup because if Josh goes down no one is taking this team anywhere. No sense climbing up the draft board only to lose anyway. If you need a guy for a couple games it’s more important that the other 10 do a better job just so the backup isn’t asked to do much -
This is what I find weird. A lot of those players that were forced to play early developed into the backbone of this team. Now it’s like a lot of young players are taken from the field the minute they make a mistake. Look at the dline, they draft guys then sign vets to do the job. Continue bringing back guys that no other team wants because they are familiar with the system. Let them play early and learn from their mistakes like when McD was hired. Late in the season you’ll have a good idea who they are. Look at Williams, they went to Kline who had no chance in hell on doing a solid job because of what’s between the ears.

Had a good laugh because I just gave a thumbs up to it always being open but I find this statement true also. I’m so confused right now

Which QB Will Win Their First SB Next?
BananaB replied to st pete gogolak's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’d say Allen or Goff -
Bills spent the second most in the nfl on defense

You mean after they went out and filled 2 of 3 holes that went down. That stretch after the Miami game they were the worst D in the league until the signed Joseph and traded for Douglas. -
WR or Dlineman? What would be your main priority..
BananaB replied to BillMafia716ix's topic in The Stadium Wall
So Beane drafted Gabe, Stevenson, Shakir, the kid from Florida late and few others already. Shakir looks promising but it’s the end of year two and Gabe looked promising until he seen a lot of time. You gonna roll the dice on more late round picks after previous history when you need production now. Makes sense. Good luck with that. Beane even thought Shitfield and Sharty were answers to our WR problem… Maybe they can call the Rams and see who they think can be productive on Sundays. On top of that you have a coaching staff that thought Shitfield and Sharty were better than Shakir after seeing them in practice every day. 🤷🏼♂️ -

McD/Beanes history of drafting Dlineman is all I care about -

Bills have a need for Dline and if they use a first round pick he’ll make an impact in 3 to 4 years. Go with the WR. -
Allen needs to mentally overpower Mahomes
BananaB replied to Thrivefourfive's topic in The Stadium Wall
The thing about football is situations matter and different situations can make a players career a lot easier or harder . I don’t think anyone in their right mind would say Troy Aikman was better than Dan Marino but he has the hardware that says he accomplished more. Mahommes is around way better coaching and was drafted to a way better team that helped him get where he is today. Josh Allen was drafted to the complete opposite situation and the coaching is killing him in big games. Brady and Manning is the same situation. Brady drafted to a more accomplished team with way better coaching. Though Manning could put up great numbers all season when they hit the Pats in the playoffs they could shut him down. The Chiefs haven’t really shut Allen down though, D is the root of the problem. Mahommes is a great player in a great situation, Allen is a great player solid situation who’s coaches/gm are still making a lot of mistakes. -
They used enough resources they should field a solid D despite injuries. When ***** was going wrong early in the season did they do anything to help the O after Beanes prized WR signings ***** to bed, no they went out and did what they could to fix McDs defense. Oddly enough, despite all the injuries it was the least the Chiefs scored on them in 3 playoff games. Maybe that’s because our O held the ball for close to 2/3 of the game trying to dunk dunk down field all night long. WRs can’t get separation and when Allen makes an incredible throw they can’t catch. Not really a surprise though, a lot of us didn’t buy into Beanes ***** about Davis’s ankle holding him back the year before. Nor did we buy into a couple Jags who been tossed around the league to be the answer.

Problem is we seem to be a few plays away year after year now. Picking these players that don’t even see the field or are inactive is huge problem for us. Maybe Elam will turn out like AJ and finally make an impact late in his rookie contract, maybe he’ll get traded for peanuts like Bashem. Either way these misses out impacting the team now. You can’t keep drafting lineman and then signing aging vets to do their job. It’s one thing to draft guys high and them not start for a year or so, it’s totally different when they are healthy scratches. That’s either poor scouting or poor development by the coaches. It seems to be a trend n Buffalo though. Trading day 1 and day 2 picks away before their rookie contracts up is terrible

Reason why we can’t beat KC in playoffs is all McD.

Allen needs to mentally overpower Mahomes
BananaB replied to Thrivefourfive's topic in The Stadium Wall
Allen needs the D to show up against Mahomes. No sacks and no INTs in 3 playoff games against Chiefs, basically Allen gotta play perfect football and have everyone on the O play perfect football for Bills to beat the Chiefs in playoffs. Glad we are investing so much in McDs D -
He did spent 3 second day picks on RBs in 4 years. And also traded for Heins
-
Mahommes is not Mahommes without Andy Reid. I think that’s pretty safe to say. Mahommes is definitely not Mahommes with Sean McDermot.
-
How about because the last defensive minded HC to make it to the Super Bowl was Belichick 6 years ago. The game today is tailored for the offense, go get a guy who can elevate that unit.
-
Well atleast he ain’t a defensive guru giving up 30+ points in playoffs games.
-
When the score is close that’s an easy way to look at and I believe that is the way McD and Beane look at. Is it the right way to look at it though? Despite coming down to a couple plays it’s pretty safe to say the D has played like dog ***** in most of those games. So instead of trying to make one or two plays more maybe they should be thinking how can to get better from start to finish on D. What makes this worse is they have heavily invested in D with top draft picks and pricey free agents. Belichick was willing to change his system numerous times over the years to get the best out of his players , is McD willing to do that? Is McD smart enough to do that? Teams know what McD is throwing down and good QBs have their way with him in big games. Every QB has his way with him in the final two minutes. 😂 To me the Bills are just treading water. McD gets the players he wants for D and if they don’t work they go out and use more money looking for guys that can. Last off-season the biggest issue was at the WR position, we have one of the best QBs on the planet and they bring in Shitfield and Sharty. Bills D got more DLs. Poona, Floyd and then Joseph. Add in they traded for a CB when it was needed. Anything for the defensive guru.

Allen is better than Kelly. I loved Jimbo but I don’t even think it’s close.
-
Lamar also had 2 safeties and pick 6 in the 4th quarter. You can count that in for negative plays that never seem to highlighted. Josh didn’t throw a pick 6 this year. I’d take numerous ints over one pick six. Jmo though. Especially if it came in the 4th quarter of a tight game.
