I believe a player needs to see the field to reach his full potential. Hamlin is who he is, he ain’t getting any better. How does that help us in playoffs when we start playing better teams? How was Hamlins game against Baltimore and what changes from him if we see them again. People act like we’re getting solid play from our safeties because we have beaten some average teams. And let’s talk about Elam. He’s sat because of early struggles just like Bishop. Playing Dane over him was the safe move but it did nothing to help Elam it’s why there is still question marks about him. But despite lack of playing time Elam has stepped up in big moments. In playoffs he has more ints and passes defenced then Dane and Benford combined. Weird eh, considering he’s been nothing but ***** on but steps up in bigger games. Don’t you want a better chance to win in playoffs? Dane was getting abused on third down in 2022 but McD stuck with him. How about Dorian. Dude got shunned last year because of early struggles. At playoff time McD went to the safe move signing Klien. Against KC we never made any stops until Dorian got plugged in. He made a play on third down that was flagged for PI, Romo said it was a bad call. Then on the very next third down he made another play on third down that did force a punt. Shakirs situation was a bit different, he was getting some snaps but his best games came when Lil Dirty was injured. Let’s face it, McKenzie was not having a good season but McD stuck with him regardless of Shakir showing potential. Then the next season they gave the two vets they brought in a lot of early season snaps overlooking Shakir again. It’s better for this team if we are better in playoffs than we are in regular season. Pretty sure everyone will agree with that. We have a 4 game lead in the division, there is no better time to try to improve your team then right now.

History has proven we stick with these avaerage players all season leaving potential on the bench we come up short in playoffs. Like I said, it’s best for this team for him to reach his full potential now. Not 3 years down the road. We ain’t getting good play at safety, don’t you want to improve our team? Rather take a step back now and then 2 steps forward heading into playoffs. Ok McD

Kids in his first few games. It’s not gonna be perfect but it’s better for the team for him to reach his potential as soon as possible. He’s not doing it sitting on the bench. How is Damar gonna play when we in playoffs, most likely gonna be less effective against a better team. That ain’t a good thing when the Bills are trying to get to the Super Bowl. Last year against the Chiefs our O held the ball for almost 40 minutes and got out scored because McD chose the safe option at LBer. When we finally stopped them on third down the gave up on Klien and Dorian made the play Rather see if a player with high potential can learn from his mistakes myself. That’s not gonna happen on the bench. I know this, Damars play ain’t getting better and he’ll get abused against better teams. And for all the people going on about TC, it’s ***** November, TC is irrelevant at this point.

Dane was a liability at times. Especially on 3rd and long. Average player that McD seemed to love because he never gave up the big play. Sounds familiar to me but for all the wrong reasons.

At this point he’s not gonna with Rasul and Benford. Even in camp, despite how good he played he was never gonna out seat either. He’s gotta wait for opportunities at this point. He played solid Sunday, let’s hope he adds to that when he gets another opportunity

Fella played pretty good yesterday. He’s also came up big for us at times despite hardly seeing the field. The KC game comes to mind a couple years ago and there is two playoff games where he made great plays at key times. Seems to me seeing the field more might help him, but I’m not the coach. Big pick against Mahommes in the redzone. Two playoff games with picks despite hardly seeing the field in regular season. One pass breakup in playoffs that sealed the game for us. 🤷🏼‍♂️ I’d also point out that against the Jags he was filling in for Benford, Dane was the #2 at that point. Dane got the easier job that day, which I found very weird. If he’s the better player why wasn’t he on Ridley. And to be honest Dane was getting abused by Zay Jones until he left the game with injury.

Sad part about this it is basically admitting we have a problem but they are doing nothing about it. Remember the Beas and Smoke signings a couple years ago?
