With a pretty checkered roster on D last year, the team finished strong when things could’ve come off the tracks. That’s evidence that he’s a good coach. Is he as good as Tomlin and Harbaugh, maybe; probably not as good as Shanny and Reid. There’s not an available coach that we know for sure is better than what we’ve got. That’s why he is still here. Basically, the coach and GM observed diminished skills. They could’ve kept him another year but figured they could have a better WR corp with what they’ve eventually done. If Diggs was going to continue to perform at his level of second half of season, they made the right move. They concluded that keeping Diggs would not get them past KC, Cincy, and Baltimore.

Good points. I see that JJ is fast enough. I would say the same for Keon. I remember the JJ contested catch against us when our DB had his hands all over the ball. Most of JJs highlights are contested catches. I think we’ll see Keon win a lot of these too. He’s strong with an attitude, plus he has hand-eye concentration of a forward. I’m excited about what’s coming.

Coleman’s upside is very interesting. If he can use his twitchy moves like Jefferson he’ll be a difference maker. He will be coached up on route timing. On contested catches he’ll win most. If JA17 can make Zay Jones look good, Keon will make us forget about Diggs. I think he’ll be ROTY.

I’m seeing some short Fb vids of people getting autographs and selfies with the GOAT QB in public places. I think a true Bills fan wouldn’t. I wouldn’t. I think it was the right move not to sell the farm for one of the big 3 WRs. First, they might be a bust. Second, we’ll be a better team with the players selected and we are in good shape for the 25 draft.

The domed stadiums I’ve been in can’t compare to the Bills game day experience. Maybe it’s the structure or maybe it’s the fans. Maybe both. Just wish the canopy could’ve been more like the donut hole in the old Cowboys place.

Not making playoffs is only scenario where there’s a cleaning house. The key is Von. I think this draft will make our D better, and IF Von returns to form, then we are in the drivers seat.

McD is referred to as a players coach. If that’s your approach, then you’re gonna have guys like Diggs pop up and off. Wouldn’t happen with Belichek. A real players coach would develop a culture where player leadership checks people like Diggs. Even this is hard to do when a diva gets a huge contract and the rest of the guys don’t feel they have credibility to set expectations. A common theme in this years draft class is team leadership and I like it.

I predict Shorter will give us 500 yards. If Shorter was healthy last year, Diggs would’ve been whining more due to fewer targets. Coleman and Shorter will put some bruises on CBs.
