The Chargers shouldn't have put Herbert back in After the first hit.
-
That's one Herbert should have ran for.

KCs defensive backfield has been holding every play.

Where's the quick developing pass plays for Dallas? -
Sunday Night Football: Tampa Bay @ Dallas Game Thread

Dak forced that but I don't like the route combination there for Dallas. Tampa sent everyone behind the sticks and rushed 4. You can leak out a running back there and pick up the 10 yards. -
Von Miller played just 35 snaps vs the Rams
y2zipper replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall
Von is here for the postseason. I don't care what he does in games 1-17. -
Offensively for both teams this looks a little bit like preseason football, which makes sense given the lack of preseason time the teams get. Buffalo's defensive line is really encouraging. You can already see the impact of von Miller and having Jordan Phillips back, and the reset on that unit makes it look like a physically dominant Force at this point. The run defense in particular looks pretty good as does the pass rush. Allen looks really really good. The interception where he targeted Crowder isn't one that he should throw. I think in the second half that they'll move Diggs to the inside a little bit more so he can be the security blanket in the middle. They can also use Dawson Knox in there a little bit more, but this is an issue that we knew was going to be there when Beasley was let go. The offense has to figure out who the players going to be that steps up and takes that receiver spot on the inside. They seem to be playing a lot of different players on offense and I think as the season goes on we will see the guys who are the best get more time and some of the guys who aren't as good play less. I already want to see more of Devin singletary and less of the other running backs.

Bills' ticket prices soar as new season fast approaches

Yeah try living near LA. I could essentially fly to Buffalo and go to a game there for less than what the Rams want for a nosebleed seat. -
Of the serious SB Contenders who had the best draft?
y2zipper replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall
I have said similar things about Buffalo's run game. Buffalo in particular struggles to run against light boxes and has rebuilt their offensive line and changed offensive line coaches in order to address that. The underrated aspect of this comment is discussing quarterback philosophies. A lot of the league is adjusting and moving toward heavy investment in wide receivers, but Green Bay and Kansas City are moving toward a different philosophy where the best things you can give your quarterback are a good run game and a good defense. The entire logic behind the hill trade is that Kansas City wants to be more diverse on offense and better on defense, and they think it's worth the cost of the explosiveness that Hill provided. Where I like Buffalo's approach for buffalo is that as it stands, Nebraska currently doesn't have a lot of room for developmental players at a lot of positions. What Buffalo did, at least with the first three picks, is Target players at positions are with skill sets that they want to put on the field and that fit their philosophy. In this particular draft for their particular construction, it makes a lot of sense to use the draft this way. -
I thought Stafford played pretty well. He gets credited with a couple of interceptions, but one was essentially a punt and the other hit his receiver right in hands. It's a little bit of a disjointed game, but I think it shows that the idea that coaching in the short term can overcome an area of your team that's significantly worse is a little bit overblown. With the Rams offense, the attrition battle was front and center. They were missing three of their top four skill position players and it showed, especially after Beckham went out and The Bengals we're basically able to change the way they were defending. On the other side, the Bengals had a bad offensive line, everyone knew it, they continue to be unable to be the basic stunt when the Rams started running it.
-
Those are penalties that have to be called so I don't understand why people are saying Cincy is getting screwed here.
-
The Bengals line looks like the Bills line did when three starters were out.
-
That's as good as a punt. Against a three man rush, he directed the receiver over the top and tried to throw it there. Stafford can't really run for that, and the alternative is check down and punt anyway, so I don't hate that call by Stafford.
-
That pick is basically a punt for the Rams.
-
Rams will never do this.
-
Same.
-
It's all checkdowns against zones so far.
-
Going for that is the correct call, but both teams were way too conservative early.

I look at it this way. They're showing consistency and the ability to produce sustained success, and I hope that in the 10 to 15 years that Josh Allen is in all pro quarterback that they win the Super Bowl at some point, which is much closer to the normal rate than the obvious outlier. Obviously the big if for the short term is how the offensive coaching changes are going to work out. My opinion is that Josh Allen is so good it hardly matters that buffalo and Kansas City going into next season are still going to be the two best teams in the AFC. The big picture of the team is that the culture is excellent and the bills have a proven Superstar quarterback. It's what the very beginning of a long run like the ones the Packers, Saints Steelers and Seahawks have had recently looks like and we know that Allen can play well in the postseason because we've seen it now. Fans don't like to talk about it or hear about it, but the luck factors worked out so poorly for the bills this season that even with the slate of tougher opponents, I probably hammer there over when total if they stay healthy. The first two indicators of progression or regression for any team our record in one score games in an over or under abundance of fourth quarter comebacks. Buffalo didn't win a one score game didn't have a fourth quarter come back, and that's mostly luck. Unless they don't stay healthy or Dorsey really really flops, they're going to be a better team next year than they were this year even though the slate of opponents looks harder now.

Bills request to interview Tee Martin for OC Job
y2zipper replied to 17islongenough's topic in The Stadium Wall
Do the due diligence and hire somebody that makes sense. Dorsey is definitely going to get a look, but it's always a little hard to believe that the best guy is sitting right there in your own building without even taking a look outside. The promoted guy who was there before works a lot less often than people think. The offensive coordinator role is a huge pair of shoes to fill considering Daboll's success here at Buffalo should be taking it pretty seriously, as they seem to be. -
The difference between their coverage and ours largely was that the officiating crew didn't call defensive holding anywhere near as tightly as they did last week. We'd have beat the Chiefs if we were allowed to cover the way the Bengals were today.
-
Bengals got away with getting their early on 2nd and 3rd down so there's no vast officiating conspiracy.
-
I don't care which way it goes, as long as it's consistent through the game. Yeah we got called for holding a couple times last week when we held, but the Chiefs didn't really hold. I'd want the flag on the first one but not the second one in that Chief sequence.
-
It's the same way our defensive backs play. If the Bengals are allowed to play sticky I don't care.
-
With any progression to the mean in factors like fourth quarter comebacks and record in one score games, I think Buffalo's going to be a few games better next season than they were this year.
