  1. Green Bay is not even trying to win this game. I don't really get what they're doing here.
  2. Well played. It's already negative game script for Green Bay, so the question is are they going to let Rodgers win this game or no?
  3. It's also difficult to predict the health of offensive linemen because they hit every play and teams don't keep a lot of depth there because it doesn't exist. We saw last year that all it takes is one or two injuries there and a team can be in real trouble.
  4. You're forgetting about the other ways drives end. 43.2 scoring percent (27 TD or FG) 15.9 percent turnover (10 INT or fumble) 17.4 % punts (11 punts on 63 drives) 4 failed 4th downs. It leaves 9 unaccounted for, which are end of half/end of game kneel down drives in all likelihood.
  5. Backup QB parade. Green Bay is a good win. Outside of that they've beaten Pittsburgh, The Browns and Miami's 3rd stringer.
  6. The Packers have the same issue as the Rams. the offensive line has regressed from the elite pass protection unit they had last year and they aren't run blocking particularly well this year either.
  7. He was really bad yesterday, but it was his first game coming back from a concussion and his athletic ability right now is worth giving him more chances. The team knows that he isnt a full-time, assistant slide receiver finding ways to use him on sweeps and out of the backfield is a good idea and worth pursuing early in the year.
  8. I think Dorsey for sure. Forces Kansas City to overload by pounding the rock, changes plans to beat the blitz and then changed again when KC goes back to zone. Definitely like the adjustments and the new wrinkles in the offense this year: 1. Getting Allen some underneath and quick plays. 2. Moving Diggs around to get better matchups. Number 2 is especially something I wanted to see last year. Also just the way they're dealing with it. No way celebration, and continuing the focus because the job isn't finished.
  9. He's saying that as a form of praise, not because he genuinely doesn't know McDermotts history.
  10. It wasn't blockers getting beat as much as it was numbers. Allen got 2 of his pass TDs against the blitz and gets a third if McKenzie doesn't slip. The adjustment is the hot read or a leak out and it requires the QB and receivers to make the same read. The best example outside the touchdowns was the play where Shakir turned around and Josh hit him with a quick pass.
  11. Nah it's fine there. The job there is don't give up the touchdown and the new corners aren't playing well at all today. I Don't want to play press man at the risk of a penalty or getting deked for a touchdown. I also don't want to show KC that I have something else for later. If he makes a 62 yarder to tie it at halftime I live with that.
  12. They're just sending more than can block. Gotta get some quicker developing pass plays or screens going here.
  13. That's the right play. McKenzie can't slip there. Too many unforced errors.
  14. It was cover 0 against a run formation on a 4th and 1. Good play call by LV.
  15. The Rams are missing a bunch of offensive linemen and can't protect Stafford at all.
  16. Jones gets a TD there if he isn't late on the read.
  17. I mean the big takeaway for me still has to be that we don't quite know who anybody is and that the lack of preseason creates a really sloppy product early in the year. I mean the early point differentials are showing us to the top teams in the AFC are who we expected to see. Buffalo, Kansas City, Cincinnati, and Baltimore are four of the top five. The 15th of the equation is Jacksonville, and they have the second best differential right now. With Buffalo, I definitely see the top team in the AFC in the early going considering they have the highest point differential and have played a pretty hard schedule so far. After Buffalo plays Green Bay in 3 weeks, the schedule is going to get super light and they are going to jump off the page. This year is really just going to be a matter of finishing the job in the postseason. AFC North and AFC West still look like the two divisions in the conference that are going to be really tough and competitive. East divisions will beat each other up and you'll have teams there that are a little bit better than the record probably. In the NFC the rams look almost as bad as the commanders do right now. The top teams look to be San Francisco, Tampa Bay and of course Philadelphia. NFC East in general outside of Washington looks like it may have some improving teams there.
  18. I think it was called because the defender could have stopped and hit Allen anyway. I've also seen our guys get flagged worse.
  19. The bills loss is one that I kind of get. They lost way too many offensive lineman during the game and it looked like a team with a bunch of guys that hadn't played together and came up short because of it. With the chargers injuries are playing a huge role there too. La was basically down five pro bowlers during the game yesterday and didn't have a very good showing. I also don't think the chargers are particularly well coached this season. I mean I think San Francisco and Vegas took the roughest losses yesterday.
  20. Chargers are dealing with a bunch of defensive starters injured.
  21. The only thing I can take from this game is that I get why they were conservative with some of the injuries calls here. This is a week where Buffalo didn't win the war of attrition, and hopefully all the guys cramping get healthy now that we got a normal week.
  22. Hackett looks like the worst coach so far this year to me, but IDK after 2 weeks. Miami looked good, but Baltimore had 3 corners on the injury report. I still think almost everyone still looks like they're in preseason form somewhat. It isn't enough time to know who's really good, but a lot of teams look bad to mediocre.
  23. I agree here. I'm not doing long term implications after 2 weeks, but some things I saw: The alarming thing about the Chargers is that through 2 games, they can't run the ball and their receivers don't get separation. I get the struggle with Allen being out, but it looked the same as last week when he was in there. Herbert makes such a living throwing contested passes that he's bound to get picked off. Injuries to their offensive line affected the passing game for them as the game went on, too. On the whole, LA was too sloppy on offense. Their defense played really well though. With Kansas City I think the single best attribute that I see this year is just how refined they look early in the year. I'm sitting in a place for after two games I think their defense is a little bit better than people think, and spangolo is a really good coach there. I think that offensively they have stuff to figure out with the vertical passing game and with their running game, at the offensive line is really good and they don't make really big mistakes so that plus having Patrick bombs means that they're still going to be a really good team.
