That's an ugly playcall.

On that last look it hit the ground.

I happen to think Goff is really good. He got smoked by BB in the Super Bowl and doesn't play nearly as well on the road as at home but it's hard to argue with his production, especially with the Rams run game regressing.

Bills have interest in Seattle DE Frank Clark
y2zipper replied to FluffHead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Would it be crazy to offer Seattle a 1st round swap for Clark? I don't know if they'd take it, but if we're looking for a pass rusher anyway Clark is a young player that's effective in the league as opposed to the 50% bust rate for pass rushers and is at an age where I'd be comfortable paying a contract. Then I still get to pick at 21. I don't know if Seattle takes it. -
With the combine it's really easy to scout who the best athletes are, so somebody who's a great athlete that plays a position that's similar to college ball is a good player. I could see this being why Guard, Safety and Linebacker are the safest. In most cases, it's a lot harder to scout a position where the skills and skill level changes a lot. Quarterback especially is the most overdrafted position and I'm not convinced anybody has a clue how to evaluate them.

The issue with Front-loading is that the player is under-paid at the end and some guys hold out.

Divisional round, Eagles at Saints, 4:40 pm on FOX

That was an excellent faceguard Tate initiated contact but didn't extend his arm and the defender didn't grab him. But if the pass isn't an underthrow Tate catches it. -
Put the ball in Brees' hands there. Why hand it to a marginal receiver?

Browns at Broncos - Saturday Night Football

That decision to kick the FG is why Minny paid cousins. Keenum is so awful they don't trust him to get a yard. -
The Browns offensive production hasn't been good because Mayfield isn't playing well, but the Browns have talent and are playing every game close anyway. Right now all the rookies are below average and look like their scouting reports. It's the year over year improvement that will show who is the best.

[Vague Title] After reviewing the Packers game....
y2zipper replied to Domdab99's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think the issue with McCoy's that he's still hurt. That's why his touches were limited even though he had a pretty good average yesterday. But I thought the defense played pretty well. On offense Allen had a lot of trouble diagnosing the extra pass-rushers which is something we've seen before and the Packers really took advantage of it but he's a rookie and it's going to look like what it's going to look like this year. I'm more interested in the year over year Improvement when Allen gets to year two. -
Bills vs. Packers 1st Half Game Day Thread

The throw on 3rd down is just a 50/50 that's an overthrow just in case Benjamin beats the guy. -
Brandon Bean failed to provide Josh Allen a mentor
y2zipper replied to GrizzReaper's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Maybe McCarron made a stink about losing the job. I don't know. Clearly, they whiffed. I was thinking more in terms of years as opposed to money. If the goal is to have Allen start in 2019, the Bills don't want to Keenums 21 million hit on the books for next year as it offsets the value of Allen on a rookie deal. -
Brandon Bean failed to provide Josh Allen a mentor
y2zipper replied to GrizzReaper's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My thinking on the first question is that what they were looking for is more along the lines of somebody better than Allen and functional at the position, like what Keenum is doing for Denver as opposed to signing someone instead of drafting Allen or signing a vet to hand Allen the job. A guy like Keenum comes at too many years for too much guaranteed money though and I think they rightfully thought that AJ would come in and win the job. It turned out in the preseason and camp that AJ was so bad he couldn't beat out Peterman or Allen for the job and he wasn't worth keeping around. A guy in his late 20s trying to get a starting job and losing is different than a guy in his late 30s at the end of his career mentoring a young guy. -
A couple Bills Rumors from WGR sports talk Saturday

The Giants will either take Darnold or trade out. League consensus is that Darnold is the best guy. The Giants have to hold the pick until the Browns actually take him. -
Giants View Barkley as Near Perfect Prospect
y2zipper replied to HailMary's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Barkley isn't a Peterson or Fournette level prospect. He's closer to a McCafferty. The overall quality of this draft at the top just isn't as good as years past and Barkley is the player that gets the hype with all the QB flaw discussion. The treasure trove for #2 is better for the Giants, who completely overhauled a front office the second they entertained not sticking with Eli. Darnold is the consensus number 1 and the Giants have to make sure the Browns actually take him before they trade down. -
I like McCown or Bradford.

IF we don’t get a FA QB, and can’t trade up....
y2zipper replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The truth is that if they can't get Rosen, Darnold or Cousins, they should sign a vet and trade for 1sts next year to keep the draft capital alive.
