I've had it since the whole kneeling deal had everyones d*cks in vice. it cracks me up.

I was wrong about the defense. all the talk in the offseason about letting the boys up pin their ears back and get after it had me so pumped. at the time on paper it was a talented unit and had proven that philosophy could work in the past. the result has been arguably the worst pass rush in the nfl. other than that I don't have anything. I had no preconceived notions of how anything else would go I just figured our defense would be solid enough to keep us in games.

Who starts next week: Taylor or Peterman?
Stank_Nasty replied to SDS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
right. but honestly....... even if taylor comes out and lets'm hang it still could be 6-10 or -7-9. the only hope I can see is if his improved play, which probably wont happen, creates some sort of attitude throughout the rest of the team. -

like I said yesterday around here somewhere..... the only bit of positivity I can pluck out of this deal is that maybe the benching was some sort of blessing in disguise. taylor finally lets his nuts hang and lives on the edge just enough to give the whole team a spark. not gonna hold my breath though. heck.... he may not even play. LOL. -

its the poster you are responding to. that's what the difficulty is. lol -
a wr ironing out the kinks during the middle of the season while still technically in the hunt are much less season altering that a rookie qb trying to.... I honestly think you are intelligent enough to know the comparison is really dumb but you are just clinging on to anything you can at this point. again you and your extremes.... when did I say Peterman wont improve? he will. heck he may turn out to a great qb. but the learning curve for a qb and wr aren't even close to the same as a general rule. so you put words in the my mouth and say that just becuz I think he needs put back on the bench I don't think will improve? sorry I don't live in the worlds of extremes like you apparently have. my thoughts after last year we needed to draft a qb last spring early or draft one early in 18 even if taylor plays solid. taylor is an average qb that can win games with a solid cast on offense and defense. he's proven that. even with a bad defense he's won more than he's lost over his career. taylor had sucked recently but you don't bench him for a 5th round rookie while mathematically still in the playoff hunt. awful move. the rookie sucked and needed to be benched. but this doesn't mean I don't think he can turn into a solid pro going forward you play the qb that gives you the best shot at winning. that qb is taylor..... see there. that's what not living in irrational thoughts and extremes looks like. TRY IT

hi pot. nice to meet you. my names kettle. we talked last week as well.
-
my opinion is he sucked and worked out the case of the yips he had. but he still played bad to start the season. doesn't mean he wont pan out. and comparing the wr position to the qb position in this case is really dumb... you are seriously grapsing at straws. just stop and save some face man. good lord. Peterman still may pan out but he doesn't give us the best shot at winning now. PERIOD. you just keep sinking further and further down the wormhole.
-
becuz he did suck the first 5 games. no. I don't think he is. as for the topic.... I cant say tyrod wins this game but its OBVIOUS he gave us a way better shot. theres way too many other awful things happening on the team to say it woulda been a win with taylor.

right. becuz I wanted to see them lose..... you're a freaking lost cause dude. I've stated repeatedly i'm not tied to taylor. I wanted a freaking qb drafted at 10 last year and wanted one early in 18 regardless of if taylor was solid or not. it was a horrible move. I stated my case for that all week and got flamed by you and others that used small sample sizes of taylor to form your arugments. all claiming that anyone that didn't like the move obviously hadn't been watching. just becuz I wasn't in favor of the benching doesn't mean I wanted to see a loss.... that's ridiculous. I even came on here and posted a fun video of the "it takes 2" parody for Peterman. i'm always all in on the starter for this team. if Peterman goes this week i'll root for him to win yet again while totally disagreeing with the move becuz its the wrong one..... you cant seem to grasp that concept. -

I didn’t wanna be right at. I sat there and waited with anticipation to watch and see if the rookie had it. But it it was an awful move. I said so before hand. I got burned for it on here. Then you and others come in here and try to spread out the blame when that was NEVER the case for Taylor. Be consistent dude. The only consistent thing is the double standards. -

I don’t think it changes anyone’s opinion on Taylor. This game just showed that some people’s opinions are very wrong. Also I love how peterman gets pressured and throws AWFUL balls that shouldn’t leave his hand it’s becuz he got pressured and it’s not his fault. Taylor faces said pressure, takes the sack, lives the play another day or punt, and it’s always on him. You are showing a lot here man. And ftr. It wasn’t even a whole game. It was freaking HALF dude. And he was the first to do it since the freaking merger. Don’t try and make it even slightly less horrible than what it was. There’s no saving face. It was AWFUL. -

Well he’s won more than he’s lost.... so there’s that. But good idea. Just keep using last weeks game as the foundation of the argument. Solid strategy. -

I was one of like the 5 people that voted “no” btw. Just so I’m on the record. One of the few times I’m sad to be right. But just sayin. -

I have a hard time seeing him get it back regardless. Although I must admit I have no clue how an nfl locker room works. And hiw how much of the roster is even gonna be around next year? This was just one offseason and it was a legit overhaul already. -

I agree 100% schematically. But at this point with how bad everything else is and him maybe being in “f*** it” mode” maybe he walks a little closer to that edge and it opens things up a bit. Just wishful thinking really. I’m not expecting much from anyone the rest of the way out. -
I think the OP is justifiably annoyed with the fact that you and a couple others were fairly adimant that if somebody didn’t agree with the decision they obviously knew slim to none about what was going on. It was a bad move. I didn’t want to be right. I kept grasping to the thought of a rookie coming in and playing better than our average/not quite good enough qb. He wasn’t. He sucked. It wasn’t the right move and now we have people showing real colors like JMC up there still pandering on about how it was the right call. It it just wasn’t. Hands down. And I’m not somebody saying we even would have won if Taylor started but i’d Bet money it would have been competitive and we probably woulda had a shot.

I’m trying to put a silver lining on this thing. There really isn’t one. The defense is completely f**ked. The line has been awful. BUT..... what if the benching lit some sort of fire under Taylor’s ass and from here on out he just lets his nuts hang all over the field and things start happening on offense? I’m not gonna hold my breath but maybe it was just what the Dr ordered. If there’s one thing I’ve learned from this board it’s that qb rating means nothing. Lol -

Haha. Right. Nevermind the field position issues and the fact that some of his picks happened before the team could even have a chance at 3rd down. -

Serious colors starting to show here. If you watched that game and only thought 2 picks were his fault then you honestly are just so far gone. Just becuz a qb is getting pressured or hit when he throws doesn’t mean it wasn’t an absolutely AWFUL throw. You blasted Taylor for taking sacks in those situations but say the ints were up for debate with peterman. Pathetic dude. -

And now Tyrod gets his 2nd raw deal of the week. Having to step into this dumpster fire. does this mean certain posters can blame him for the loss now?
