We should get you some sort of trophy made up.
-
Can I bring up the fact that I think it’s absurd how nobody has brought up Aiden Hutchinsons mom tonight. My god what a smoke show.
-
I get it. I really do… but let’s see how day 2 goes…. top ten wr’s in receptions last year we’re on average a 3rd round pick.
-
If I’m being completely honest(and I’m OKAY with tonight’s pick), I don’t think anyone shy of sanders and Revis was stopping either of those qb’s in arrowhead that night. IMO defense is a great regular season tool for seeding. But come playoff time the top qb’s are cheat codes and almost defense-proof. I would much rather stock Allen’s cabinets and field the same ole top 5-10 style McDermott defense. But I’ve already talked myself Into the pick. So whatever.
-
Bro. Get over it.
-
Honestly I saw Ramsey get punked during that game. ESPECIALLY on the final play. 🤷🏻♂️
-
They dont take a corner or a RB in round 1 and this board struggles to find something to fight about for an hour or 2(a record). It would honestly be a great time for @Royale with Cheese to fill the void with his thoughts on ranch.
-
Thats just false. stop... its more like a handful. if that.
-
Cool, bro. I didn’t say he was.
-
I’m fairly certain that Albright dude, before the draft, was reporting that beane had been putting out feelers for even as high as picks 1 and 2 and it was for Allen.
-
AMEN! Use a late 1st rounder on the dude. Drive it like ya stole it for 4 years. Win titles…. Let him walk. I personally think people wayyyy overrated these late 1st rounders. It’s as if they’re expecting a 10 year all pro. It’s the 25th pick for cripes sake. Take him, beat the freaking brakes off him. Win… move on.
-
Oh god. Stop it…. Good lord dude.
-
well he suffered a concussion miles away from the pocket in 19. The hit vs the raiders that put him in a harness in 20 was definitely outside the pocket. and then last year his foot strain was 30 yards downfield. I"m not here to argue about him running or not running more, just that maybe you have an awful memory.

That was meant to say “random STAT” and it was about Oliver. Sorry.
-
I think I saw a random stat somewhere about how oliver had 4 sacks called back this year due to penalties by db’s. I dunno how many that is relative to the average DT, but it sure does seem like a big stroke of bad luck. … and those 4 extra sacks seem to matchup way better with what my eyes were telling me.
-
thats fair. i personally just think its way overused in the media and amongst fans. I gotta think actual FO's get a chuckle out of how much people breakdown their every word this time of year and if its a "smokescreen"
-
agreed. i'd also like them to permanently fill burlesons slot with Michael Robinson, and not just because he's a huge bills homer. I always enjoy his insight and presence on the show. i also like O'Hara.

i think the whole smokescreen philosophy is the most overused and ridiculous term there is during this time of year and i think we fans put way more stock into than is reasonable.... i guess thats just me though.
-
so you guys think you've caught onto it but other teams are gonna believe and get tricked into not making a move they're thinking about making?..... ya, ok. The mental gymnastics that go on around here during this time of year. good lord.
-
Ehhhh. Havnt we been thinking about “down the line” for a couple decades now? I’ll take the immediate upgrade. It’s not like this is something that’s gonna bankrupt the franchise. this is probably the wrong thread for all this though. So I’ll be moving on. Good talk, as always.
-
Fair enough. I see absolutely no issue with taking a player that can add explosive elements to your offense, regardless of position, once a roster has been filled out like this one has.
-
I was gonna reference him but I can’t remember how realistic of an option he was for the first round at the time. I think he went in the 40’s…. But ya. That’s sorta my point. Again, referencing CEH is just lazy. I can mention a miss for any position. That’s not hard. They had a ready made roster and wanted a cherry on top of the offense. IMO the philosophically the logic was sound. They just missed on the player. Now a team like Pitt with holes all over their roster taking one in the 20’s last year?… that was foolish IMO.
-
It’s so freaking lazy to just reference CEH anytime a first round runner comes up. He’s just not very good. It was a miss. It that pick was a solid hit their offense would be that much more dynamic.
-
IMO they missed. He's been pedestrian and injury riddled. Its not a great example to use IMO. If he came in and made the impact a 1st round back should make we wouldnt be hearing anything negative about that pick. Again, i'd blame the scouting and just whiffing on the player. Not the position that was picked.... i dunno why people are having troubles separating the 2.
-
So because the chiefs missed on a late 1st round RB, that means never take one? silly logic IMO. if he had panned out nobody would be saying that junk. it was a miss on a prospect, not a miss on philosophy.
