Who is the biggest Fool’s Gold FA this year?
CEN-CAL17 replied to BringBackOrton's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
@ $22M per.... I think so. Seriously it’s hard to imagine a DE getting that. Just 4 years ago that was top QB money. Things need to slow down. -
Who are your top two free agents?

I think we are going round 2 or 3 WR as it is... it’s been said multiple times by Beane and McD that it doesn’t a true #1 WR to win in this league. Perriman is a guy who can stretch the field, came on late last year with the Bucs. The kid can play, has good size and height. Would be a true outside WR this team needs. 3 ye deal, $6-7M per. Baun has the size and showed he can easily put weight on, added 10 lbs with ease for the senior bowl. With a NFL nutritionist etc I think he can hit 245 and maintain. Im thinking OLB, Lorax role. A standup edge rusher but can pass drop. Besides Milano and Edmunds that’s it. I think we may see Oliver play outside at times like the Rams do with Donald. Place Baun next to him. CB and OLB are definitely big needs. So is DE, Baun fits in in many ways. I just feel in Carolina.... 2014 roster was there best. Having Luke Kuechly, AJ Klein and Thomas Davis..... Bills would have Edmunds, Milano and Baun... -

I don’t understand the love for Bulaga? He’s gonna be what? 31 years old come next month. Up and down the last couple seasons. Not quite what he was. Ill take Daryl Williams 27, someone we can sign to a 3-4 yr deal. -

Ngakoue will not be an option.... Jacksonville will use the Tag. I accepted that a month ago when I was reported that was the likelihood. Daryl Williams- OG/OT to battle for RG RT spot. Williams played RG last year due to injuries on the line in Carolina. Most still think he’s a RT. 27 years old. Perfect to bring in and battle Ford for the RT spot. Loser moved to RG. Feliciano moves to LG. Breshard Perriman- Another veteran WR. Size and speed guy. I’d still draft a WR round 2 or 3. I’m going DL/OLB round 1. I can’t wait to see Zack Baun at the Combine. I’m thinking 6’3” 245, 4.6 40, 10’ broad jump, 37” very, 7.0 3 cone... I just think he’s smart, super athletic, a quick twitch. Slippery on the pass rush, solid in coverage. Former HS track kid. -
2nd/3rd Tier Draft Wide Reciever Rankings
CEN-CAL17 replied to Dkollidas's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My 2nd Tier WRs Justin Jefferson (2) Brandon Aiyuk (2) Jalen Reagor (2) Bryan Edwards (2-3) Gabriel Davis (2-3) Van Jefferson (2-3) Michael Pittman (2-3) Denzel Mims (2-3) Quartney Davis (3) Im a big fan on Gabriel Davis and Quartney Davis... I think they will be solid pros that most are overlooking Peoples-Jones I feel is a round 5 guy, and Tyler Johnson should go round 3 at latest but rumor is character issues. -
Please look over this roster Pete Carroll tool over in 2010... A lot of the same players who took him to a Super Bowl. That team was loaded. Yeah he hit gold in Russell Wilson, who also played with most of that squad, with even better players at some positions. Now look at the Bills 2017 roster, the craptastic team and McD got them to the playoffs. Ever since Pete has taken over it’s been a place FA desire. They’ve had things going right for them a team built there even before Carroll. So he got lucky drafting Russell Wilson, now he’s a great coach? The rosters McD has had over the past 3 seasons, the difficulties bringing in FAs etc, I doubt Carroll could have done what McD has, at best it’s equal. Carroll ain’t that great. 2010 Seahawks - OL one of the best, Solid TEs, Lynch, good WRs, Secondary one of the best, Great DLine, Curry was one of the best LBs in football at the time.... he took over a franchise is Super Bowl contending shape. McD took over a team that had not made the playoffs in 17 years! https://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/sea/2010_roster.htm

Better Coach?! That’s debatable... Russell Wilson has made that dude. He’s never had to truly start from nothing. We are also talking about the coach that failed to give the ball to Lynch from the 1 yard line losing the Super Bowl. Pete Carroll is a good coach at best, but so is McD!

Trade for David Johnson?
CEN-CAL17 replied to Bleeding Bills Blue's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Watch.... a team will give up a 5th or 7th or whatever, and Johnson will have a solid season under the right system. Then fans will say we should have made a deal. I for one think the Bills should still get a veteran backup, someone who can be counted on, take the reigns if needed and still mentor Motor.... -
Lee Smith and Yeldon nobody should argue.... Smith came in and mentored Knox, perfect. Yeldon never suited up, why pay him if hes never gonna see the field. Bills should be better next year, why then would Yeldon have a better chance of seeing the field? Kroft is a large savings. I didn't see enough from him to warrant bringing him back. But then again maybe leadership thinks theres a lot left to be seen and keep him. Trent Murphys future I think will be determined in FA, if they grab another DE (Veteran), I'd assume they let him go, stay younger possibly with Lawson and grab a Edge DE in the draft. Murphys future will be obvious, but we gotta wait for FA to happen. If Lawson is retained, He's gone.

Who Is Your Least Favorite Bill of All Time ... and Why?
CEN-CAL17 replied to Gugny's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes. Defense Aaron Maybin , Offense Mike Williams !!!!! -
Being at the Senior Bowl practices.... Ill tell you Quartney Davis was more impressive than all the Tier 2 guys you have listed. Van Jefferson was solid, but doesn't have the strength Davis has, Davis has a strong lower body, thick. soft hands and is physical, quick off the ball, not a lot of wasted movement in and out of routes(like Pittman and Claypool) would fight for every pass and come away with the ball on bad throws, hes scrappy for sure. Had the best Senior Bowl game statistically. To be honest I didn't see a single weakness with Quartney Davis, where so weaknesses were obvious in others... Mims not really a physical guy, not the quickests, good hands, best WR there to highpoint the ball for sure, great at stacking DBs and shielding but at times got thrown off his route, play over. Jefferson- skinny kid, quick for being 6'2". Route running was probably the best at the Senior Bowl. But often his setups in and out of his breaks would slow him up, trip him up and stumble. Hand were good, but not really physical.

After attending the Senior Bowl practices myself I walked away impressed by... Quartney Davis, his route running was pretty solid, but he was physical and fought for the ball when he had too, you could tell this kid was scrappy, had an edge to him. He looked to be solid in build, legs were thick and looked strong. Soft hands and never had double catches. Id compare him to Jarvis Landry. I was impressed with this kid. Then he had the best Senior Bowl game statistically and if you watched the game there were times he was wide open but the QB didn't have time. I think this kid will be successful in the NFL, I wouldn't be surprised if he goes end of round 2 or early round 3 at latest. Then you watch his highlight film and the kid makes plays, contested catches against top tier schools being A&M is in the SEC.... I'm putting Bryan Edwards, Quartney Davis, Michael Pittman in that late round 2 to early round 3 range. Pick 50-75 range.

Uche is a great Edge guy. He rarely drops in coverage if at all, that’s not his role. I see him being a 3-4 OLB that just always keeps the edge or rushes the passer. I watch Uche at the Senior Practices in person and felt he’s more of a speed rusher only but not the fastest. Nowhere near as slippery as Baun. Uche will be limited. I’m really curious to see these 2 guys stacked next to each after the combine is done, numbers wise. Cause Baun is going round 1, guaranteed. Uche I feel is a round 3 guy with maybe a chance to get to round 2. He doesn’t offer anything but a speed rush. We will see. I was excited to see Terrell Lewis from Alabama. After watching him in drills, seeing how stiff he is in movement. How long and lanky he is. I’d just take him off my board to never be enticed. He’s a bust, bet on it...

Like any rookie, he’s gonna have growing pains. Lorax was listed at 6’1” 245. This kid is just as big as Lorax with easy potential to gain 5-10 lbs of muscle under a NFL team. When it’s all said and done, because of his ability to put him in many schemes from all over the field and his ability to rush the passer, he may not make it to 22. This kid is an NFL player and fits the Bills perfectly. A position we need, rely upon and could also be BPA.
-
I truly think a player to watch is Zack Baun. They call him Zack Sack, dude is 6’2” 240. I think an NFL club can easily get him closer to 250. Dude is quick off the ball, hard to block and is slippery. Wisconsin played him all over the field. Can drop back and stunt from a stand up edge rusher. 12.5 sacks senior year. Smart dude. I get it, everyone wants a WR. This FO has made it clear they don’t believe in a true #1 WR is necessary in this league to be successful, they’ve said it. But also this defense is the heart and sole of the organization. Losing Lorax is a big deal. He was a more dynamic player then most give him credit for. The guy would line up over the OG and rush. The right LBs and a heavy DL rotation is what makes this defense work. Vosean Joseph is not Lorax replacement, won’t happen. Unless they just stop running most to all packages Lorax ran. OLB/Edge type players are not deep in this draft, especially ones who are good in pass coverage. Zack Baun is that guy. He’s gonna run a 4.6 40 yard dash, be one of the quicker edge type guys and he will move up the boards. He’s already being talked about as a 25-32 late round 1 guy. Baun reminds me of a poor mans Von Miller but better than Miller in the pass game. Bills grab a legit WR at 54, maybe sneak up a couple spots (Ford) type move. Grab a CB in round 3. People should really start watching, keeping their eye on Zack Baun. Im all in on Baun. Edmunds, Milano and Baun as our LB Corp would be amazing. Grab a guy like Yannick Ngakoue. Scary. Id watch his highlights before replying. Dude flies around and makes plays. Of this style play, he’s by far the best in this draft.

Willekes is a effort kid, plays hard, showed fire at Senior Bowl practices. I see him as an average DE, not really an edge/OLB type guy. He won’t be dropping into coverage. I don’t think he has the length or speed to play DE at a high level. I see him being a round 4 type talent.
