Confirmed: Concussions don't cause CTE
billsredneck1 replied to Mr. WEO's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i wonder if they will ever figure how to test a brain while a person is alive. it's interesting researching symptoms and signs of cte. i was knocked unconscious a couple of times while working for uncle sam. on both occasions the record says several hours, but the second one i have no memory of a couple of days. back then there was no talk about concussions...period. combined with a few other memorable hits to the noggin from construction and falls, etc. it makes me wonder. every now and then i get really bad headaches on the left side with a bruised lump feeling behind my left ear so i've always wondered about the subject. i hope they can find some way of better testing in the future. it also would have been nice if my military hospital records didn't disappear. -
that would be friggin awesome!

while i would like mayfield, i wouldn't want to pay what it's going to take to go up that high. i would be happy if rudolph fell to us. however, i feel there is going to be quite a boost to this roster this off season....plus we get a couple of guys back healthy. this defense will better and our oline will improve. i also think they have a very good draft. that being said, i think peterman can get us to 10 + wins. i understand the train of thought concerning the need for a vet presence, but instead of over paying or giving up picks, i think we could be fine with nate in his second year. unless we do sign a big name, he will be our starter. after another camp and preseason, i really think he will impress. flame away.

Daboll's preferred offense and QB.

give him a good oline and he can be every bit as effective as alex smith....minus giving up picks and cap, while still having a rookie in the fold. i think peterman is plenty cerebral and accurate to get us 10 wins next year. he may not have been drafted as high as wentz or geoff, but he can have similar success. still waiting for castillo to be gone... -

sounds like it's similar to what kelly ran. have a dozen formations/plays that you are good at and have the ability to pick which variation to use based on the situation. -
Available FA's who might be a fit with the BIlls

i forget who i was listening to on the radio discussing the vikes qb situation, but it sounds as though they would be more inclined to keep bridgewater and possibly keenum as well. bridgewater due to youth, mobility and possibly franchise and keenum until he's fully ready to take over if they don't lose him. i think bradford is the odd man out. he should be affordable. him, nate and a rookie is appealing. -
i can see the fo pulling off some genius plan. they give tt the 6mil. bonus. then they trade him, glenn, no.21 and a 3rd to denver for their no. 5 pick and chad kelly. then....they open up a bidding war, demand a kings ransom to slide back a couple. mc d gets his defensive stud along with extra 2nd, 3rd and 4th picks. draft rudolph at 22 along with washington in the 2nd. they go into camp with nate as the starter and/or an all out qb comp.

I HATE THE PATRIOTS! TAKE THE 15 AND GIVE BRADY THE TOMBSTONE! -
if i'm not mistaken, foles is on a one year deal. i have been wanting to get him for the last few years and he could have been had...although we were in the midst of the whaley ej love affair. if we can have a shot at him ...given our history with philly, let's get him and rudolph. if a trade be needed , there's the shaq lawson deal. next year...foles, peterman and rudolph. deflippo oc and use all our draft picks to build this team. would frank reich be eligible for oc with an assistant hc job?

Hypothetical - If Peterman won the game
billsredneck1 replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
ya know what....i am with you and have shared your opinion all along. they could come out and say that going into next year, they feel good about giving nate the chance to grow in the off season and take the wheel. they will draft a qb....maybe/hopefully rudolph with their first or second 1st rd. pick and maximize their picks throughout the draft. then they can say that they will look for a vet presence, but do not think it wise or prudent to get into some kind of bidding war for a big name. i believe if this past year was nate's second year and he was the starter, we would have been 10-6 easily. i hope to see that next year. i really got a feeling the kid has the tools. this is just my opinion, but with an entire off season to at least compete for a starting job, i believe people will be impressed. i can't wait to see a real qb run an efficient offense for once. his presence is also the reason why i think they keep dennison. -

i mentioned this in another thread....hmmm may have been this one. idk, i just got up. i think this is would be a nice quiet deal for the fo to have all lined up. we give them tt, cordy and a second. i put tt in there because i would think they want that much more than a second and if we are going to trade tt, i believe we'll have to pay the 6mil., but i don't think it's that big a deal.
