true. but maybe they are looking beyond luck. with tt, brissett and a good left tackle....and extra picks maybe they are thinking down the road. it seems like indy is the team to do things a little different....at least in the past.

I have to disagree on the tank 2018 thing. With even slightly better QB play....a healthy receiving corp with even one decent deep threat addition....an improvement on the dline and oline, we will be 10-6 or better. A good draft and a couple of free agent pickups, we'll be fine....and that's assuming that Peterman starts. Trust the Process. I know i'll get flamed for this, but as far as going after a QB (regardless of who and where we draft one, he won't start), I'm going to go after 1. Foles 2.Luck 3. Mc carron. We can't afford the war for Cousins. Keenum and Bridgewater will stay in Minny. Bradford will get over paid probably by someone like the Cards. I wouldn't even consider a QB with an injury history or Alex Smith who would just be a higher priced Peterman....and none of those 3 I listed would break the bank demanding long term contracts. I understand we have a lot of UFA's, but I think the ones we need can be had again on a one year deal. This last year's schedule was supposed to be extremely difficult and we did ok. This year we will walk into the postseason on our own two feet. I'm grateful for the Andy Dalton miracle, but then losing 10-3 to the Jags was an embarrassment.

i wouldn't argue against both, but if i could only sign one free agent and have one rookie on the line it would be vea and ansah. i have been hoping that adolphus would come around.

that statement really stands out to me. him going in gave us at least a sliver of hope....3 points of offense up until that moment during the first playoff game in 17 years. i don't ever want to see tyrod in a bills uni again......and no he didn't get us there.

i myself have to consider nates playing time....ie. la chargers, i don't think we had one decent receiver on the field that day and that pass rush beyond belief....fast forward to the snowiest game in history...then through in a few plays in ne with horrible play calling ... then to the last drive of a playoff game. i couldn't think of worse circumstances for a rookie to step into.

i'll give you an example of what i see in him. you can watch a youtube video of his 4th qtr. drive against n.o. i can't remember exact stats, but i think it was something like 7/10 80yds. td. one incomplete hit benjamin in the hands and i believe there was another catch able drop too. i don't care it was garbage time. if tyrod could have done the same thing, he would have still been in the game. my point is that's what i want/expect to see out of our qb. he's decisive, quick and his ball placement is as good as you could possibly want. i think with a full off season, it' very possible that we could see that kind of play week in and week out. that kind of play gets us the winning records and playoff.
