Browns are going QB with 1st pick
billsredneck1 replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Browns are going to draft Sam Darnold no. 1. That's why they traded for TT...and we already have the no.4 pick agreed upon with them. Stop and think about it for a minute... They gave us the 1ST PICK IN THE 3RD for TT! They did that without making us pay the 6 mil. bonus! We had the deal already done for no. 4 with the caveat that we get up higher in the 1st. Done...moved to 12. We will give them no.12 and their no.65 back plus our second next year or Shaq Lawson. The Giants will take Barkley.....maybe Rosen. That will leave Elway wanting to sell downtown Denver to Indy for no.3 to get Rosen or maybe Mayfield but.......not so fast there big John because now we have the no. 4 pick and since we signed A.J., Mcbeane can always tell Indy.... Go ahead and trade with Denver and if they snatch up Mayfield, we will gladly take Chubb! If the Giants take Rosen and they trade spots with Denver, that drops Barkley into our laps and ka ching!......They stand pat and we get Mayfield! These guys we have are playing their cards perfectly! This is how it is going down. The bills couldn't make this public for obvious reasons. They had to wait for all the FA QBs to land, get moved up a ways and sign A.J.....and remember, it's only a 2 yr. deal...hint. The worst possible scenario is we use no.12 and pick Rudolph at 22 or White/Faulk etc later. One other thing is that even if we are stuck with 12 and miss out on the top 4, we can always trade back still have 2 1st rounders and gain picks for next year. These guys got their sh!!t in one bag that's for sure! -
so ...did he officially sign with the pats? i thought/think he will be in buffalo for a visit shortly. just because the pats made an offer doesn't mean he has no visit(s) scheduled. i believe i heard john murphy say he thinks he will be a bill.....fwiw.

Carlos Hyde to the Brownies

i've called the no.4 pick in other threads. this move is making it more evident. -
so if tyrod would have still been in the game, that defense would have still had all their starters trying to contain him from mounting a comeback?....and why was tyrod not still in the game? after holding tyrod to 56 yds. after almost 4qtrs. they decided...hey nate's in, let's let him do good and put on a nice scoring drive! i get it now

i was all for foles, but now i don't think he's in play...at least this year. when we traded tt to the browns and they gave us THE 1ST PICK IN THE 3RD RD. for him, i got the feeling that there was a second deal worked out for the no.4 spot with the caveat that things go as planned...which is/would be.... buffalo finds a way to get up further...done..no.12 the browns take darnold at no.1 who will need probably 2 yrs. and tt with that roster, in that division works for the browns. mcbeane knows who the giants are taking..barkley. even if he doesn't and they take rosen so be it. maybe they take allen. i highly doubt they trade out of that spot. i also highly doubt indy trades out of the 3 spot and takes chubb. then we trade 12 and next yrs. 2nd...(possibly 1st) for no.4 and take baker mayfield. i think the browns being so generous with that 3rd. rd. pick was the start of the entire plan. i also think that the top 4 gms have the top 4 spots in agreement with one another. i could be completely wrong. maybe they sign a.j. to a 3yr. deal and outbid everyone. they use no.12 for r.smith the lb. or maybe even vita vea then draft rudolph at 22. i just got the feeling that it's the first scenario.
-
i have a feeling it won't be long unless someone makes a ridiculous contract. give me nate/mayfield and rudolph with a good qb coach. spend the money on a good rt./ speed wr. i have all the faith in the world that nate can produce. when's the last time we had a qb that threw 27-33 290 2td per game? he can do it. i predict with a healthy k.b and jones getting in a groove combined with deonte on another 1 yr. deal,...along with oleary and clay, we will be fine. i also expect brandon reilly and dupri to make the team. if we draft a washington or anthony miller, we will see a passing offense this year that we haven;t seen in 20 years. it's gonna be great!

we are going to go to no.4 from cle. i think a tenative deal for this was struck when the browns took tyrod. they are going to pick darnold at 1. the giants will take barkley at 2. indy will not trade out of 3 and take chubb. even if they do get a massive offer, that team will most likely take rosen. either way, the bills are taking mayfield at no. 4. we will give the browns our next years 1st. the first 4 picks are already in place. everyone thinks cousins is a done deal in minny. i call b.s. i think he's gonna make more than one visit. either way, if he does go to minny, and denver signs keenum, bradford is going to az....just like i predicted in previous threads. bridgewater will go to the jets. that leaves foles and a.j. if philly is unwilling to move foles at this time and some team gives a.j. and offer that's ridiculous, i can see us starting nate....and i'm fine with that. at 22 which we will be keeping, we can hopefully draft vita vea. they may choose to go lb and harrison phillips in the second, but they will draft rudolph ( which i hope they do) or mike white in the 3rd. i'm prefectly fine with nate/baker/ rudolph or white. we can get a good qb coach like a ken dorsey and roll with the young stable. screw overpaying one of the free agent backups/bridges. with a better front 4, a healthy receiving corp and a couple of key free agents, nate can easily get us 10-6 until baker beats him out. i have been right on the money on a lot of things so far and this is where i'm hanging my hat for the near future.

we are going to no. 4. i believe that agreement was made at the time tyrod was moved. tyrod fits the browns to groom darnold. they would not have taken tt if they didn't know who or how long they expect the rookie to take to get ready. the browns can take care of rb in the 2nd. the bills taking no.4 i believe, is already a done deal save for what shakes out with free agent qbs and what other teams do. but when all is said and done.....at no.4...the buffalo bills select baker mayfield.

Sal about FA QB's For Bill's - Hint ?
billsredneck1 replied to Jamie Muellers Ghost's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
moving up for josh allen....btw i haven't read both pages....but hell no! we don't need a 3 yr. project with an 18 mil. dollar backup going 8-8 for the next 3 yrs. it's gonna be rosen or mayfield or rudolph. unless we get foles or sign a.j., i don't think we sign a fa til after the draft. we need to build a young contending team with a sprinkle of vet fa's, not go back to the orton ,tyrod mode. -
When we made the trade with Taylor for THE FIRST! pick in the 3rd, I got the feeling that there was another plan in place. The Browns are going to pick their QB with the 1st pick and not risk anything. The powers that be also know that if the Giants do not move they're going to take Barkley. Therefore the 4th pick is in the mix. I think there was a second step from the beginning with this deal. We are going to give the Browns our 1st. rd. pick next year and swap 2nd rd. picks this year giving us no. 33 and Baker Mayfield. We have to get ahead of the Jets for sure and possibly even Denver so they have to get between 2 and 4 to get the guy they want. I also think that they will (should ) wait until after the draft to sign a FA QB. If they land Mayfield, forget the so called vet presence. Start Peterman and make the move when necessary. They will also draft another QB somewhere in the draft. Save the money from signing a FA QB to use elsewhere. This scenario is what I think the end desire for the F.O. is. The teams picking 1-4 already have things lined up. However, they are setting themselves up to face any situation. I am stoked! They now have the power to go any direction they choose and still not lose picks.

The "We have too many holes" argument
billsredneck1 replied to ColdFront_USAF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i'm kind of this way also. the wisest move may be to stay put and take rudolph at 21. he is in the top 5.(over allen) as far as talent, size ,experience, intelligence...checks off every parcell's box. he has as much of a chance to succeed as any of the others. i would say he's sam bradford. that allows us to knock the hell out of the draft. with a couple of key free agents, we could be a playoff team this year. remember last year, if we would have had even slightly better qb production, we would have commanded a wc spot. if they decide to start nate, groom rudolph and bring another young gun in, i'd be ok with that. what makes it so important/mandatory to pay 20 mil. to any of the free agents? what separates rudolph from the others....seriously? is it 2 miles an hour velocity? is it the school/division he came from? he's the sam bradford of this draft and while i like me some mayfield, i'm also ok if they decide to sit tight. -
Bills interested in Sam Bradford

Does the Fun Begin at Midnight?
billsredneck1 replied to Wagon Circler's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
stop gap qbs are for losers. you either find a good or great fa and do what it takes to get him or draft a qb who can mold in at some point behind whoever you have. -
with his injury history, i can see him signing a deal like davis and we play a ton of nickel and they can rotate. it would be well worth the investment for the bills as well as having davis and e.j wholly devoted to building a kick ass unit. i would not bet against this happening. i hope it does. ...sorry l. johnson/shareece wright good luck to youz

maybe we roll with nate...mayfield/rudolph and use the fa qb money elsewhere. i wouldn't doubt it or be mad about it. i trust these guys. it's only the leftover subconscious whaley thing that worries people.
