well it makes sense. i could see a trade to 4 with the browns, but chances are good that the browns take advantage of that spot for a huge player. that being said, the broncos will do whatever they want...don't see them trading out. therefore, we should let the draft come to us . the colts may covet a player at 6, so whoever (qb) makes it to 7, then it's game on. this is what we should do instead of bending over trying to get to no.2. if mayfield or allen fall to 7, we can make it happen ...or if everyone's gone we can sit at 12 and take rudolph or move back.. i say at sitting at 12 right now, wait til draft night and see how things develop.

i kinda like that deal...idea. maybe we can take rudolph/white/lauletta/ fergy this year. i don't think anyone they could draft this year would unseat ajm as the starter. this is based on mayfield and allen being already gone. i think ajm will get us a winning record , if not resemble franchise and we could really build the roster....not to mention next year is supposed to be a good year for dline. great job. good thinking imo. we would stand alone with those 2019 picks. i wouldn't be surprised if that ends up being the route.

Peter King on WGR
billsredneck1 replied to Jamie Muellers Ghost's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
there is no way in hell i would give that up....and for who? darnold or rosen? that would be the stupidest thing i've ever seen done in 45 yrs. of watching this team. 1..a usc qb with a turnover hovering 50%...and 2...a guy whose last choice would probably be buffalo. if gettleman tried to fleece beane like that, i'd have to question that relationshp. if the giants were smart, they'd either take barkley for a sb run...or rosen as heir apparent. -
well if darnold and rosen go 1 and 3, i'd be happy. then it just depends what denver does. if mayfield or allen get to 6 or 7 and up, we can move and it may only cost a 2nd. however if mayfield is gone, i might just sit at 12 and take rudolph, who is well beyond allen. if it weren't for allens arm , rudolph would be the no.4

but...a.j. could be better than dalton and ridley could be be a huge weapon....especially if he can be a deep threat.
-
we have nick oleary who won the best college te in the nation award and finally we have a qb that will make him a star. we don't need to draft a te high this year. btw i'd trade logan thomas. he's a waste of a roster spot.

Are We a Playoff Team with A.J. ?
billsredneck1 replied to Seventeen's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i'm more optimistic than most as far as a.j. goes. i believe he can be better than keenum and has some phillip rivers abilities as well. he may have had stats as far as 200 yd. games, but that's typical game planning when a backup comes in. now, he's the starter and i fully expect him of being capable of 300 yd. games and have the ability to make 4th qtr. drives and put the team on his back a bit. i also think nathan peterman will develop to be much more than we have seen. i realize we lost preston, wood, gaines, maybe matthews, but i do not see this team taking a step back. we were 9-7 thanks to our defense. how many games did we have with under 7 points?...including the playoffs? those days are over! i would love mayfield, but chances are good we end up with rudolph and i think it will turn out that we have a very respectable lineup at qb. another thing is having dabol. he believes in game planning week to week against each individual opponent. who else does that? bill b. this guy knows how to win. last year the big talk was how daunting the schedule was...and we made it. i am looking for big strides this year, especially in terms of offensive production, but also double the sack numbers. i believe we will start seeing some actual nfl play this year. i'm psyched and trusting the process. we are going to get some good players in this draft! -
i'm praying we do not overpay for no.2 and i think barkley and dealing with obd could put the giants in contention for taking that team back to the sb...and they also pick high in the 2nd and 3rd rounds. however, the worst possible thing that can happen is they take rosen and the jets take mayfield.
-
oh hell no....
-
nope 1.darnold 2.barkley 3.rosen 4.mayfield bills 5.allen 6.chubb this would be a nightmare!. that would leave az. and miami to deal with. if az. makes a move for 7-10, i see them taking jackson and miami taking rudolph at 11. we would be screwed! this would suck. i cannot even fathom baker in n.y.
-
yeah i got a bad feeling that if allen or mayfield fall, they would take them.
-
i remember he was the only one who did anything in that tenn. game we barely won. i really thought at the time, he could help us.

Let the record I'm against trade into top 6 due to price
billsredneck1 replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
so this would leave us still having 2 seconds and a third?.....hmmmm i still think there's already a plan in place for no. 4 if who they want(baker) falls to 4 , we give the browns 12, their 65 back and next yrs. 1st. -
i agree. i don't think there's any way rudolph gets past the likes of pitt., ne, the jags etc. he won't be there in the 2nd. i think te is a wasted pick....early. we have 2 very good ones now and the only reason oleary isn't talked about as an upper tier te is that we haven't had a good qb. he's gonna be a key part of this offense this year. agree but in the 2nd maybe dt payne is there and we can get washington to come with rudolph. rd 3 is where i go cb and oline. rb in the 4th and lb depth from there.

Gunner's 2018 Draft QB evaluations
billsredneck1 replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
god job gunner, but it does not determine where these guys go. i say darnold goes to the browns. barkley or chubb to the giants and rosen in the rotten apple to the jets. the bills take mayfield at4. if for some reason he gets picked before then , then we sit and take rudolph. if it has to be at 12 so be it. i would rather take him at 22, but that's a risk with az and miami is one pick before us so.. i would love ridley or edmunds/vea in the 1st and a trade back up for rudolph....idk i can't take this anymore -
i think there may have been a deal done for 4 at the tyrod trade, depending on how things fall come draft day. why would the browns give no.65 for tt and not make buffalo eat the 6 mil.? they are gonna get that pick back along with the other agreed upon comp. however, if for some reason, their guy goes to the giants or jets, then the bills at least get something for tt and the browns have their bridge....handshake. there's a plan in place....and i think that made the jets jump. there was no deal for 1 or 2, but they thought they had to get ahead of the no.4 pick? i've never heard any mention that they tried to deal with cle. at 4. why wouldn't they? it wouldn't have cost as much...and the colts were not going qb, so why not go to 4? these guys got their ducks lined up, i believe.

NDT Scouting's Contextualized QB Study
billsredneck1 replied to DCOrange's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
wow, great read. the more i think about it, if we can't land mayfield and we go non qb with 1st rd picks....and someone scarfs up rudolph before our 2nd round pick, i'm kinda thinking lauletta would be a good prospect.....considering that a.j. does good. idk 4 more weeks is gonna kill me. sheesh -
Sal C: Broncos Love Mason Rudolph
billsredneck1 replied to Jamie Muellers Ghost's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
well whatever....i have all the faith in the world that for right now, we have a guy that can win games for us. our passing game will be greatly improved and for once we have a guy who can play in the 4th qtr. -

it is in the sense that ajm will do for us (turn around our offense), with similar success to jimmy g. in san fran. -
