Bills 2018 Mock Draft Watch
billsredneck1 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
if we can't get darnold and mayfield, i am not opposed to this at all. i would love to have the picks, if there is no deal to be made. i'm gonna get flamed for this, but i can see rudolph having a manning esque career. -
i myself, am taking pick no.2 out of the equation, at least in my mind because.... gettleman has never traded down out of his pick. he also likes big guys and the giants history is rooted in defensive players. that being said, this is one of my 100 guesses for the 1st 6 picks... 1. darnold dorsey puts his foot down and takes charge....or that will be the story. 2. chubb the g men get their next strahan and fill the hole left by jpp. 3. rosen the jets may be dumb, but they ain't stupid. would love to see them do something like take jackson tho, so i may stand corrected. 4. mayfield the bills give up 12/22/65 and a 4th next year. everybody happy. 5. allen elway gets his next...possible...elway. 6. barkley luck comes back and they get back in the game. i could sit in one spot and stare at the wall for hours dreaming up 100 different scenarios....actually i've been doing that. i gotta snap out of it.

Will the 2018 Bills be better then the 2017 Bills???

i believe ....ummm...dennison is no longer here is the schedule out? i thought last year was supposed to be the hardest in a long time. -

wow.....some of you guys need help...sheesh thank you and true...but we finally have an oc that will create an offense to suit his players and not an oc that demands players fit into his antiquated system. WE ARE GOING TO KICK ASS! we are about 50 %...or less to molding this roster before camp. take a deep breath and watch the process unfold. -

i seriously doubt we will see multiple 3 point games..... -
far as i can see he had 2 holds and one sack for 16 games last year.....i believe that to be ok, at least for me.

a.j. and jimmy g. will be talked about a lot nationally next year. it's gonna be great to have a pocket passing baller in a bills uni for once.....someone that can take advantage of a turnover....or ball out in the 4th qtr. and our rookie can sit a year, then we will have a qb issue -

i agree. i don't get the gloom and doom. 1st i think the schedule will be easier. 2nd i think a.j. is a huge upgrade for the passing attack. sure we lost p.brown, mattews, thompson, gaines and 2 olineman. however, we upgrade our dline, p. gaines could blossom in the slot. we signed 2 guys for the oline already...and we have the draft to go. i'm expecting a very competitive team this year. -

drop off from what/where? 31st in passing? -
i get the feeling we do move to 4. i also believe the giants would like chubb or barkley over going qb. that being said, we can move to 2 and take darnold or mayfield. i think rosen's a better fit for nyc and the jets, while mayfield as more of a buffalo guy. besides that , if he (mayfield) tweeks over tweets, the nyc media will make him a head case. so if the browns go with allen, the question becomes...sit at 4? or move to 2? the more i hear lately, the more i'm liking darnold ....in the sense of his character.

i don't think we will see our draft pick start this year. i think a.j. will do good so we can afford to wait til 2019 for the qb competiton or trade. -

i'm more confident this year. a.j. upgrades the qb spot. as far as p. brown, he was a fa and wanted to play for his hometown team. this year we will get more pressure and sacks up front and as i posted in another thread...we were facing a retool of the oline, so i think we are better off facing it this year rather than next. i'm confident they will draft well and take care of the lbs and add some speed to the wr corp. i predict we will at least command a wc and i think we finally have a qb that can go toe to toe with ne and maybe get us a w against them. -
Think plan A ..for the bills

well you know richie was on a 1 yr. and not likely back 2019. who knows if wood would've been here as well. we ....imo are better off dealing with it this year. -

right now i'm looking at...dawkins / groy / bodine / miller , ducasse (hopefully miller) and newhouse. that's not horrible. we have connor mcd...who is huge, the draft and fa/waiver wire. my only question is how close can groy come to richie's play? i don't think wood to bodine will be a huge drop off and i think newhouse is an upgrade. i'm sure we will add some pieces and quite frankly, maybe this turnover/rebuild of the oline is better to start this year , than next....imo we may end up being better.... -
Here we go again with a new QB

i'd love to hear richie's opinion of jaun now. -
Let's say we take Mayfield at #7
billsredneck1 replied to Victory Formation's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
sure why not. we will need to regain a couple o picks anyway, so that kills 2 birds wit one stone. -
i have been p'o'd about the lack of attention that has been paid to the rt spot for years now. i really thought seantrel would find a home and do good there, but the fo has ignored this spot year after year. if they have mills starting again this year it would seem to be the biggest example of ignorance/incompetence beyond doug whaley and our qb will get killed. no way newhouse can't, at the very least be an improvement. i don't know what the love for juan is.....well at least the tolbert cord was cut.....
-
dawkins / groy /bodine /miller / newhouse......to begin with.
-
bodine started every game in his 4 years from being drafted by cincy. wood was a 9 yr. vet.....equal newhouse.....much better than mills miller...we all saw his potential, but due to personal tragedies and stupid line play changes, he got put away....bring him back. groy can play all 3 inside spots and be the vet presence on either side of center. we have connor mcdermott who is not a pipsqueek and we can draft a couple of line guys. we may be better off with having to retool or shuffle this line. i think this was a blessing in disguise going into the future.
