  1. we are only really trading 12/22. they can make up ground for next year's picks as well as take advantage of free agent money. ok wait...i'm all in on a.j. very confident in him and nate. that being said, if they decided to build the team and take white or faulk/lauletta later, i would be fine with that. i do not want to face baker 2x a year tho, so there's that ..
  2. yes i have to edit as i do have second thoughts on this.....but then i ask myself....how many people have him rated as the no.1 qb in this class? we would pay this or no.2 and get who?... darnold who needs a year?....rosen who would hate coming here...or allen who needs 2 years....so my answer is yes.
  3. i think he can still play inside...especially inside murphy. i think this will be his best year so far and i'm not giving up on him or dealing him away. unless we draft a vea , hurst or payne, i would put him inside more. he can be disruptive enough to let the end run free.
  4. redog is loving this..ain't been a tyrod thread in so long....
  5. wasn't there a fumble like dealy?....with a bad outcome/
  6. against balt., pitt and cincy defenses won't be so kind as the jets and miami....or even the pats. he ain't gonna have 5-6 seconds to screw around. sack! he will lead the league in rushing
  7. it's crazy isn't it? it's like waiting for some to just explode.
  8. maybe cincy did not want to give up a pick but, preferred to change places...so i agree, it wasn't for the sole purpose of trading up.
  9. i'm kinda thinking it goes... 1. rosen browns 2. darnold giants (or switch 1 and 2. i think the giants would be fools to pass on rosen.) 3 allen jets (i'd rather them take allen then mayfield.) 4. browns stay put (barkley) 5. denver goes non qb (nelson) 6. indy stays put (chubb) 7. mayfield in play from here on out........or allen in which case we would probably just have to go to 10 so the fins don't get him. either way, we get one of the top 4 and save picks. btw, i wouldn't be surprised to see chicago jump on mayfield if he was right there.
  10. all the assets for allen at 2?....ugggh....not to mention that leaves rosen, mayfield and rudolph for our division foes.

So his record against ranking was opponent no. record 1-25 1 0-1 26-50 2 0-2 51-100 5 4-1 101-150 1 1-0 151 + 4 3-1 I didn't triple check the numbers, so don't nitpick. Allen did NOT play against top notch opponents. In the film that you see on him, he is not throwing against too many DB's who will be in the pros. I'm not a expert, but I don't see consistent success against top notch competition. I don't see him playing and succeeding against good playeers. I would be concerned about draft him as a project. well he should be there at 12 then....?
  12. i believe the giants deal means.....if cleveland takes what n.y. perceives as eli's heir, they trade out. if their no.1 is darnold and cleveland takes allen, the giants stay put and take darnold. the problem is nobody knows what dorsey is going to do and that may just be because the front office there is at odds of who to take. that also emphasizes the point that there is no clear cut, can't miss, andrew luck type this year.
  13. just maybe, the plan was to get ahead of the browns 2nd pick at 4 ...for barkley....knowing that the giants would most likely take chubb and even if they don't, chubb would certainly help the depleted front 4 on the jets.
  14. that's why any trade to 2 has to wait til draft night. and even if the browns take darnold, the only way to get no.2 is to ensure the giants can get no. 4 so a 3-way has to happen. however, if the browns know that if we go to 2, that means qb 1,2,3, so barkley and chubb will still be at 4. why would they want to give that up? i think we all just need to forget the top 5 spots crap and see who shakes out at 6 or after.
  15. some days i feel the same way. build the team and take rudolph/ faulk or white. i have plenty of confidence with a.j. one thing i am feeling pretty sure of is that if the browns don't pick darnold, no.2 is out the window. if the giants leave chubb and barkley at 4....then 4 is out the window.
  16. this is.....i just don't like it...
  17. i'm sure they have planned for all scenarios, but they damn sure didn't bring a.j. in to sit and mentor a rookie. there is another thread on trade rumors and i don't know what's up with that but, i'm really starting to get a gut feeling that they will let the draft come to them. it seems like with all the frothing at the mouth with the qb thing, i would not doubt that the top 4 go in the top 5 picks and the bills get locked out....to that extent. i wouldn't count out the giants at qb. maybe subconsciously, i'm hoping that we use all our picks...and i do like rudolph.
  18. i said this because i for one do not want darnold or allen...or rudolph etc. having to come in due to injury any time after the first snap on opening day. not only do i not want to lose the season ,but for the rookie's sake. i think rosen or mayfield could handle it, but they are the only 2.
  19. well it does make me wonder. if mcbeane says "you have to get a franchise guy"...knowing he had the ammo to go to the top of the draft....why would they scoop up a.j.? why wouldn't they just wait until after the draft or june 1st and sign a vet for a vet min. 1 yr./ 1 mil. deal? i'm hearing trade rumors...or possibility of trade rumors, but i'm not gonna hold my breath that these guys are hell bent on getting one of the top 4. i would not at all be surprised if they stand pat and even possibly take a qb 22 or later.
  20. i didn't mean it that way. i don't think any rookie can take the no.2 job in a few short weeks and we can't risk putting nate on the p.s. again, not counting rosen and possibly mayfield as far as the no.2 spot. no matter what i don't think they should or want to start a rookie.
  21. notice his throwing motion and release. it didn't look like it was all he had. nice release. i always thought he was a bit of a pusher with his throws, but after seeing this, i may be wrong about that.
  22. Thank You! Sincerely, Mason Rudolph
  23. i get the feeling that we will carry 3 on the 53. i believe a.j. is the defacto starter due to the contract. i said this earlier, that if they draft any one not named rosen, then i can't see one of these rookies taking the no.2 job in camp. they can't put either nate or the rookie on the p.s....so they will have to carry 3.
  24. would i be pissed if we took him? yes if the jets take him? no
  25. i hope they are ready to keep 3 qbs this year. i think if they take any qb not named rosen, there will be no reason at all to start a rookie this year. i think a.j. has the ability to get us to the playoffs and ideally we have a qb competition next spring. i also like nate and see a lot of good qualities in him and think he will look greatly improved. i think he will push a.j. to be better, as i do not see a lot of difference in their game other than nate may have a sharper, quicker release, yet a.j. has the experience. it's going to be interesting.
