2018 Schedule Review Games 1-4
billsredneck1 replied to RPbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think we will tie the pats this year and the NFC common opponents will be the tiebreaker. -
Incognito's Retirement? [update: Now Released]

Ne.... dammit -
That's when that front office implodes.

I agree with all of this and while it may help the browns to some extent, he,s gonna see 3afcn defensive lines that are a bit more punishing than the Jets fish or Pat's. Good luck with that.

2018 Schedule Review Games 1-4

if we start 2-0 especially with them being afc wins, we are going to the playoffs....not too mention it would take the two most likely teams to tie with out of the question. -
I like the look of this roster/Defense

you can call me a homer too. first of all kb is in a contract year and if he wants to resurrect his career, he will ball out. 2nd.... "we lost our 3 best lineman" boohoo on and on. cordy was almost never on the field and was taking up a lot of cap space. luckily, he got us to that no.12 pick. richie walked away. we didn't lose him. eric wood was an overrated center. if groy was in there unannounced, no one would see any difference. eric was a great guy i love him, but he was forced out. we have a very capable ol group and if we can get a qb to get rid of the ball on time, we won't need 6 seconds of pass pro. lastly the" average at best " a.j. just has to do better than the 31st ranking we had last year and i don't think that's gonna be hard. so if not being a pessimistic, doom and gloom guy makes me a homer, sign me up. -

hint...we were 14 yds. from last place (32nd) in passing last year. how much better does one of our qbs have to be to improve on that?.....or....maybe the better question is... is it even possible to have worse qb production? call me a homer too. -
i'm just gonna say that all but the rookie wrs have been in the nfl before coming to buffalo. consider this....if our wrs from last year had spent the year...or even the last 2 with a competent qb, would we still be looking at those individuals as lacking in talent or would a good qb have shed a different light on them. with an above average qb...and i believe we now have at least 2 if not 3, could this corp be looked at in a different light? what if o'leary and clay become the best te pairs in the league? what if kb, zay, streeter, jones ,foster,reilly..or any combination becomes a solid groups of nfl receivers? everyone would forget these discussions. i for one am pumped. would i look at adding someone like maclin? sure but i'm not writing off the idea that we could have all the talent we need to greatly improve the passing game until i see some very good qb play....and i think that's on the horizon.

i was only gonna quote the first line because i think i heard something about hogan being very instrumental in some kind of superbowl run for the patriots, after fans like you said he wasn't worth the roster spot or a few hundred grand. as far as the majority of the rest of your post....it's like, man, i cannot understand the callers to wgr or posters preaching that the offensive apocolypse is coming. it's like i'm seeing all you guys on the 25th floor with a hole in your soul from losing an average center, a left guard , while being great for us, apparently could have played his last year if for not losing too many brain cells and deciding to retire...RETIRE. and lastly that hole of not having the safety net of tyrod to carry this team, that is apparently devoid of talent, to another playoff run. it seems that it just may be more than some here can bear. well , all i have to say to those who refuse to come off the ledge is......jump...at least before the opener.?

well i think it depends on how you use these guys. brady would make them stars. i fully expect to see a stacked box nonstop to start the season. in that case i would make my bread and butter with the 2 te sets with kb and zay on the outside. they can do a lot of quick timing throws on those 10-20 yd. shots or hit shady in the flat. toss the deep ball once in a while and when we start to back them off a little and force the lbs to stay back in coverage, uncork shady and throw some fly routes. this will help us steal a couple of underdog games early such as balt., la , gb or minny. if we can get 2 out those 4 we are gonna be in great shape. by the way, if they establish that starting ol soon, they will be in better shape than last year at this time. more kool aid please.

Top 10 Boneheaded Moves of NFL offseason
billsredneck1 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's gonna be fun to watch Hue vs. Haley and the Tyrod vs. Mayfield affair. I would put my money on Hue being gone by mid season. Either way it's his last year. -
FA Pass Rusher Ryan Russell visiting Bills
billsredneck1 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i believe the pass rush will be totally different than last year and result in fewer comps. with the opposing qb on his back more often......way more often. no more watching a qb tie his shoes before he throws. -

....and this year that's gonna make jerry worth every penny! -

i hope he has his hand in the dirt only. i expect him to have 10 plus sacks. and, in another thread a ways back, someone noted that he had 55 qb pressures in his last full year. that, across from hughes?....yum levi wallace is gonna make a name for himself. also, throwing taron and siran in the mix with hyde, poyer, white and davis, that's gonna be one deadly unit. -
Chad Kelly in contention to be Broncos backup
billsredneck1 replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
chad kelly will be the starter there next year and for years to come. it will be a fun division to watch in the coming years with him, carr, mahommes and old man rivers all facing each other twice a year. i wish we would have taken him. -
John Ledyard on with Schopp & Sal today
billsredneck1 replied to Scorp83's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i figured, lb at 12, rudolph at 22 then j. washington and harrison in the second, but i'm really warming up to allen. i just hope they don't plan on starting him day one. i really want to see what a.j. can do. after listening to the radio yesterday,it sounded like every one viewed him as a day one jim kelly savior. well pump the brakes a bit here and remember is was a rookie camp. the vets will be showing up soon. -

T. White - Thought this was cool
billsredneck1 replied to PolishPrince's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
it's great to see how these guys end up embracing the area...ie....lorax, shady , and all through the years. -
but i'm gonna enjoy another trip to the playoffs in the meantime....

i believe he started at c every game since he was drafted and if i remember correctly, he didn't give up a single sack last year. i really don't know that much about him, but i'm sure a.j. knows very well what his butt feels like. having worked together can't hurt.
