tuel was a good example of buffalo history on destroying the early careers of qbs with potential. will it continue? i hope and truly believe this staff is smart enough to do it right, but this team has been horrible at developing young qbs.

reality check....weeks 1 thru 4...balt. (rd.) la., then minn. and gb both on the road. start the rookie?....ummm hell no. i don't care how good he looks and i would bet that there's 52 other guys with an opinion and a desire to play on a winning, playoff bound team. that has to weigh very heavily on the staff's decision. let's not get stupid. i hope he's the guy, but he doesn't need to be week one or this year for that matter.

i for one am expecting a great season. our run d and sack totals will be very much improved. vontae davis will be just as good as gaines last year. our rookies...edmunds, johnson and neal will have an immediate impact....not to mention....well i just think they crushed this draft from top to bottom. our playcalling and passing attack will improve 100% and even though the schedule looks rough to start, we will be in a great position to go on a second half winning streak. i fully expect to command a wild card spot. my biggest hope...or worry is the first 2 games against conference perennial playoff teams. however, nobody can game plan for daboll, a.j. and our defense so maybe we can come out of the gate and go at least 2-2 out of the first 4. if we can do that, we may only drop 2 more to the pats...plus maybe a let down somewhere but that puts us at 11-5. i am saying we will be no less than 10-6. i hope a.j. has great success and i want nate to back him up. if we get a playoff season from a.j. that will only pay great dividends. my bottom line prediction is that we will be able to rest a.j. and play allen the last game as we will have a playoff spot locked up.

Imo that was the play that started the run.

i picked shaq because he's been on the team and everything i hear or read about him makes me believe he's gonna look and perform on a whole other level. other than that, i think trent murphy's gonna be a head hunting monster and i predict that 3 guys will have double digit sacks....hughes/murphy/lorax. combine that with contributions from guys like shaq and yarborough, i think we will be in the top 10 perhaps even top 5 in sacks this year. what a huge difference it will be from last year.

i think last year's schedule was much tougher and the tank talk came about because we weren't supposed to win squat. if we can somehow win 2 of the 1st 4 i think we'll be in good shape. i also think we'll be quite the subject going on a second half winning streak. i fully expect 10-6, possibly 11-5. other than the first 4 games and the 2 pats games, there's no one that we can't beat.

Exactly how I feel. I also love when lorax joins in. I love all the interview s with the players....old and new. I do often switch to 950am at 3 but I love everything bills.

i've never been a fan of dc's who are reluctant to blitz .....and frazier is one of those. i have always contended that the way to beat the best like brady is blitz the crap out of them. so they beat you and complete here and there, but at least by beating them up you have a chance. however, if they want to rely on the front 4 for pressure (which was the problem last year) i'm glad to see they're building a line capable of doing that. would still like to see more blitzing.

The point that I was trying to make is that there was never going to be a competition at QB with that staff yet some put a.j. down saying he couldn't beat out Dalton.

He wouldn't last 5min. On the p.s. they need to keep 3spots this year. His ball placement is outstanding.imo

Marvin Lewis was never going to allow a QB competition. Dalton is their franchise guy. Those who claim he couldn't beat out Dalton are just showing ignorance... ..

I really want a.j. to get his shot and start the season. I feel like he can take us to the playoffs and also or mostly empathy. I also think we need to carry 3 QBs so that at the end of the year we have options to gain assets for next year.

Yep I'm on board here and figure 2_2 over the first four. After ne. comes the kick butt win streak enroute to 11-5.
