i like a.j. he had some good college experience and was never gonna get a shot to unseat dalton. however, i think that while for the most part they have the same skill set, i feel nate has a quicker, sharper release and great ball placement. if it's anything close to a tie come the end of august, i can see them trading a.j. to a team with an injured starter or a team with a big need for a backup. i don't see them in any way starting josh the first 4 games.
-
not only that but if he is tied with or slightly better than a.j.in camp, why wouldn't they trade or dump a.j.'s deal? nate's got the skills to start off the season on a winning note. not only do i hope he wins the opener, but he and our new defense put a clinic on a bigtime payback against the bolts week 2 at the home opener.

Doug Whaley Has Landed a New Job

russ took control of doug. check out the pics of him fist pumping the sammy trade and ...he got doug to play along with the rex thing by promising him that extension....which he did do...but d dub was such an egomaniac with that e.j. pick...remember "fully in", that it was a constant pissin match which made marrone haul arse and then finally ruined it with rex. i know rex ruined it for himself by killing the defense, but doug didn't help matters. he passed on his share of qbs as well. that midnight cutting of freddy sucked out loud. it was a soap opera. thank you terry for cleaning house! how could a gm not say...don't f up the defense when interviewing a coaching candidate?....and not know the kind that rex was gonna run? that was all for putting fannys in the seats. i'm glad russ is gone too because he was the biggest factor in the rex hire. -
last year we were supposed to tank....3-13....worst schedule ever, bla, bla, bla. this year we are supposed to suck again. other than the front half of the schedule being loaded with road games, i can't see why we can't reach 10-6. defense will take a big leap forward, our passing game will take a big leap forward. we will see a lot less 3 and outs. our pass catching players are good enough to move the chains. after being 15 yds. away from last in the league in passing, there's no where to go but up. if we can go 3-1 out of the 1st 4, it would be a miracle but even with 2-2 we are in good shape.

whaley got gone because he signed on to selling rex to terry and for playing along with putting butts in the seats, russ got him a big exten$ion. he also got gone for having peeing matches with coaches who didn't want to play his golden boy e.j. there's a reason(s) he's not in an nfl fo. -
Shaq Lawson on roster bubble

art still was a big bad dude. shaq is going to be a very important piece this year.....i believe. keep him for one more year. -
not for nothing....and nothing personal, but tranny you're history i might question. you fought and dragged on the heels of ej and defended every move whaley ever made and you're hanging on everything tyrod. why don't you just realize neither was good enough to ever do anything for this team and get on board with what's taking place? you and another half dozen posters have dragged this on and on and on. dw is gone, tt is gone and e.j. is where ever he is. is there anything you guys can find to get behind this new direction? i have been a board member since 04....granted bbmb and you same guys were there all that time as well, but some of you guys beat the same drum...horse.... to f'ing death, then and now. how about we change the subject to nate's 5 picks?....and how he was a 5th rd. pic?...oh wait, that's in all the other threads.....cause i would bet 100 bucks that will happen.....never mind tyrod was a 6th. when will you guys turn the page? i am so grateful for the change from an egotistical gm and blowhard coach ( and all the cronyism between russ and doug), that i haven't been this pumped for this team in over 20 years.

i'm right with you. eric was bound to have age and health issues surface and richie was on his last year anyway. we have to get younger and established at some time and i think it' will be a blessing in disguise that we have to go through it this year rather than next. if daboll can run a quick timing offense, that will make things much easier than having to pass pro for 6 seconds. how many times have we yelled ....throw the fing ball!!!!...every week. well this year by the time that thought occurs the ball will be gone. it will be refreshing to look like an actual nfl offense for once.

when he does, i wouldn't be surprised if the fo works a trade for a.j....at least by the deadline. ya never know when some team's qb goes down or a team is looking for a viable backup....ie. the skins or giants etc. however, my hope is the best guy starts and i hope we carry 3. although, if it's a tie between nate and a.j., i can see the above happening. not only that but nobody mentions the state of our wide receiver corp that day. who did we have...a hobble kb who had been on the team a few weeks?....if that? who else? why did he even have to throw to dimarco? not to mention the line laying down and that comment by bosa. also, dennison was a disgrace from day one.

3-man QB competitions of Buffalo yore
billsredneck1 replied to Buffalo86's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think the better question would be when was the last time we had a legitimate 3 way? I was a. Tuel supporter and thought he could develop but the arrogance of coaching carousels never allowed young draftees to grow. -
Offensive Line - Any Chance it Holds Up?

Don't forget they won't have to pass pro for 6 seconds. We will be okay. -
I wouldn't say Brady but I've been defending him since last camp. I took a lot of crap. Chances are if they get a good offer for aj they will tAke it and roll with nAte. That doesn't mean I want that to happen, I'd rather carry 3 but my money is on that happening by trade deadline at least. Sorry I quoted whole post. Oops

I've listened to or try to, all the player interviews on the radio and it seems like every one of them has humble roots and an outstanding story. These guys...mcbeane are really blowing me away with the guys they're finding and bringing in. They are building a dynasty right in front of our eyes. I haven't been this excited in over 20 years. I'm loving it!
