I would like to add that after big Ben and switching to Rudolph the Steelers won't miss a beat and rule that division for another ten years. -

ha i'm turning 55 this week and actually trying to make a habit of going to the gym in chili. after reading your post, i don't feel so bad. -
glad you made peace with that....please be sure to come back next year....until then.... they made the playoffs....albeit miraculously, but we did get better in the off season and will compete again this year. just because we lost richie and eric does not in any way mean we will be worse than the 29th ranked offense or 31st in passing yds. again this year. cmon people....think about it...we actually get a passing game added to our team!

this prompted me to watch his senior bowl performance and i was impressed mostly by his pocket presence. i'm basing my opinion of him based on this game because it's the last one he played. 9-13 158 2td 0 int. ...and at least 2 in completions were all on the receiver. i think he's gonna be good but i hope he sits for as long as possible so i hope we are winning games and early on as well.

i don't think he's going anywhere this year because without him we really don't have a good rotation. i don't know what the best pairing is...ie. adolphus/ star or adolphus /kyle. i've been hoping he'd turn into something, but not so sure going into his 3rd yr. -
i thought this would be a good idea last year to kick him inside next to kyle on passing downs, but now with star and harry, that probably would have no benefit.

i was listening to eric winston yesterday talk about russell bodine. i believe he played with him so i'll take his word for it. he said bodine has made some good improvement over the last year and is really coming into his own. he also mentioned that he's a terrific run blocker. something that wood left to be desired. also, i believe i read somewhere that he gave up one sack for the entire season last year. i think we'll...i...will be pleasantly surprised with the oline play this year. edit: he also talked about ajm and said he's gonna be out to prove himself and that he's a gunslinger. well, he does have 2 championships and holds all the passing records for alabama....not to mention he staged a comeback and should have had a playoff win over the steelers. fwiw

i burns me up when we don't have a dc who will blitz or is stubborn, insisting on only rushing the 4 down linemen. however, i think this year rushing 4 should at least free others up and i do expect more sacks and tfls. also with murphy and hughes on the ends, i expect lorax to have a great year. i am predicting 3 double digit sackers. actually we should be able to send a lb on every play especially considering the talent. milano and lorax on the outs and there should be plenty of gaps to shoot edmunds through.

i think a lot of people have some sort of subconscious bias when it comes to judging our oline. for one thing, they aren't going to have to pass pro for 6 seconds on every passing down. that alone will be a big relief and other than richie, who was our go to...run behind...pulling guard last year? that's right...no one. we got better by subtraction. groy and miller are very serviceable guards. i'm hoping miller goes to the left side where i think he can be a rueben brown and groy would be a big help to mills on the right. teller may really come on and be a mauler as well. i'm not worried.

well it's gonna suck for you cause frazier isn't in any way blitz crazy.

i for one think we are going back to the playoffs. the notion that this offense can rank worse than last year (29th overall and 31st in passing yards) is ludicrous. there's no way we can suck that bad again. i also think that the element of surprise will work tremendously for us early on. if we can win at least 2 of the first 4 and hopefully the first 2, we are gonna be just fine. i also wouldn't be surprised if this defense shuts cousins and the vikings down. everybody complains about the receivers, but we have to play some unknowns to develop talent. three wrs that i think could produce and very well are... reilly dupri robert foster i hope they find a way to keep 7. proel and rayray to the p.s. benjamin kerley jones holmes reilly dupri / foster ( reilly was a steal and both dupri and foster would have been high round picks if it hadn't have been for poor qb talent and being stuck due to depth on their teams.) then of course clay and oleary with shady and ivory out of the backfield. i think we will be fine and we will be pleasantly surprised in the pre season. not to mention we have a new oc from the patriot tree. i also believe we can get double digit wins no matter who starts at qb. lastly, i for one am not going to complain about how "they ignored one side of the ball". i like that they are building this team in layers and rookie contracts will expire in a layered manner so that we will be fine cap wise.

i say who cares? let him play where and when he wants. i think he's a d'bag, but he's a free man and should be afforded the same rights as anybody else trying to achieve personal goals. if it weren't for him being a d'bag and the media circus to follow, i'd wonder if his key to the city still worked.

i for one will never say bbmb sucked. the same brown nosers are here. and let me ask if any one remembers nfldraftdiamonds posting some of the best content either board could ever ask for? bbmb actually had a pro on board. quite frankly, i don't see much of a difference except the technology for posting articles and information has grown. the character(s) remain the same. -
i don't get...we lost richie...to whatever, retirement, brain fart who knows. we lost wood due to beyond our control. we lost the irreplaceable deonte thompson and lastly preston brown...while the league's leading tackler, everyone here thought he was worthless. anywho point being offense.... we lost 2 aging lineman (one of which was average) a journeyman receiver, tyrod and lastly tolbert, not to mention rico.....OMG WE ARE GONNA SUCK!!!!!!BAWAAAHHHHH!!!....i don't get it.....
