i'd be surprised if there isn't one injury between now and week 1. i think reilly is a must keep. i got a feeling if he gets cut, he will be a pat the next day.

mcbeane met with coleman pre draft (prior to him being drafted.) they have been aware of him for a while and decided it was a good time to pull the trigger. point being...they know him better than any of us or the media. i trust and hope this kid comes around and becomes maybe a james lofton for us.

....and wilson. i gotta say this is gonna be one of the more memorable years in football. you have these guys, but also think of the other divisions this year and in the future. keenum/kelly mahommes rivers and carr. i don't think there's a wc coming from here this year after they all beat the hell out of each other. luck mariota watson and bortles. one wc will come from this one but again should be beatin the hell out of each other. then of course the afce. i think things at the end may shape up like last year. it's us balt and possibly cincy vying for the other spot which is why those first 2 games are so important. to allen the fans saying "start josh!"......hold my beer. sincerely mc coach.

i am really curious/excited to see how he does with the ones/twos. the guy that stood out to me was mike love????...i thought i knew this roster from top to bottom. man he looked good. i gotta keep an eye out for him. edit: just read his bio...very interesting. an edge rusher by trade. i can't wait to see more of him these next few weeks. if he plays like he did the other night, i can see him spelling lorax.

i'm thinking the afcn defenses will stick to the blueprint. stack the box and make tyrod play qb. it will be interesting because i think that will be a touch worse than what he faced in our division. he may get a few first downs with his legs and even help them stay close in games. however, i'm expecting hue will be gone and mayfield will be in by halloween. there will be mayhem in cleveland when landry and gordon start complaining. should be much fun. edit: mybad for bumping a tt thread...oops.

what i don't get is the drooling over tyrod 5-5 etc. so does that mean he threw 5-5 on 2 different series for 99 yards (apiece or total?)....i'm curious....not enough to research it though.

ok now post a.j. numbers. a guy goes 9-10 (for the most total yds) ...what should have been 2 scores....against a first team defense...and you guys will do anything to pick him apart. it's way past pathetic and a poor excuse of supposed fans of this team. oh wait...i get it now...nate must be a republican!

a.j. has the bigger salary and... if a starter goes down somewhere, teams will be calling for a.j. and.... there's still a few weeks to go before baltimore. when he starts with the ones and goes against 1st defenses, will he take a bunch of sacks?....go 3 and out a lot? we cannot have that. the cream will rise to the top and that cream may be nate.

between the two....which has the higher contract and which would be in high demand due to another team's injuries or need for a good backup?....so for those reasons, i could see them dealing a.j.

i agree that a.j. gets the start. he's worked with bodine and he's also game prepped for baltimore several times and is familiar with the stadium. those reasons i believe, are the most appealing to starting him week 1. however, i'm not gonna rule out nate until they say so for sure. a.j. could always get hurt...or take a ton too many sacks and just not be able to move the chains through pre season. i see a.j. on an 80 yd. drive as a 6-10 5:30 t.o.p. type. i see nate on an 80 yd. drive as a 7 or 8 -10 2:30 t.o.p. type. i think he has a quicker, sharper release and more likely to be able to complete those 20 yarders more often whereas i see a.j.'s bread and butter in the 7-10 yd. range. there's also the possibility of injury around the league which would make moving a.j. and his contract an easy sell. can't wait to see these guys tonight!

the last time i was there i got parked about 15 ft. from the door of a bar. i think was...tailgaters?. awesome place, where if i was alone, i would stroll the ....tailgaters, throw a couple of footballs..( i gotta a pretty spiral depending on how many beers i've had) and then take my gimpy 55 yr. old ass in the bar and kill myself with wings and beer while watching about 5 different big screens. that's my ultimate game going....not one for climbing 3 stories of leaping steps to stand in ankle deep pee just to about puke at what i see when i finally get a urinal or stall... not to mention paying 9 bucks for a beer that i'm gonna spill on the way back to my seat...if i can find it....jmo edit: it may be totally different now, but i've been to a lot of games and i'm just at that age where the tailgating is the best and a dry bar with a sexy waitress trumps the wet/cold/stretching the bladder deal....plus i can hear the crowd.

agree 100% i doubt there is any substantial performance enhancing effects from smoking a bowl the day before a game....
