you obviously suck as a neighbor.....

well my opinion is just that....an opinion. i've been watching this team since 1973 and have seen a few young qbs thrown into bad situations where as otherwise they may have grown to become good. i hate to see guys thrown to the wolves because of the price / or draft pick that was paid. again, just my opinion.

the number one objective is to win games....from day one. when the regular season starts, reading and diagnosing defenses pre-snap will be the biggest requirement of whoever starts. i know josh allen's the future and i think he will be great, but does he really give us the best chance to win in balt.? will he be able to read what's in front of him?...or will he have to rely on his legs and making plays outside the pocket? we just saw 3 yrs. of a qb whose game was limited to that and 9/13 for 60 yds. ain't gonna get it done. i think nate gives us a better chance at outscoring the ravens combined with a good defensive effort, but not relying totally on the defense to shut them down. the first game is a conference game and could end up being the deciding factor as to whether or not we see the post season. i believe the veteran counsel will have a very big say in who they think should start and after reading kb's praise of peterman's accuracy, i'm willing to bet on who he would vote for. i will take...or at least start with the guy that will completer 85% or better of his passes getting the ball out in under 2 seconds vs. relying on a rookie's athleticism when plays break down. besides, there's no law that says that the rookie can't go in the game if the other guy can't move the ball. if you put him in as a starter and we fall behind and he's getting his ass handed to him, there's no turning back. i doubt there's gonna be 52 guys on that opening day roster that are thinking..."well, if we lose because of growing pains, that's ok. it's all about the future."

Mike Scopp Hacking it Up on National Radio

after one bills live ends at 3, i switch to 950 am (espn rochester) and listen to danger and battaglia. they are just as thorough with the bills and better all around. -
the ignorant bias against nate is ....well just ignorant. when the bbmb first shut down and i found this place, there were people hear saying that those bbmb "refugees" were ruining it here. i thought that was wrong, but tranny and kellythepooch are proving their point. please shut this thread down. if peterman is the starter week one....and wins, they will still find a way to pick him apart. i'm not even gonna waste my time on here...at least for a while. so far , they have been proven wrong and getting a face full of nate time and again, but still keep coming. the bold describes them and the left in general to a tee...

Who will start preseason game 3 vs Bengals?
billsredneck1 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
this is what i hope happens...win lose or draw, i hope he gets a few games on the sideline to take it all in, do the mental reps and study film. get the feeling of regular season game tempo. -
I will admit i was one of them. however as has been stated, being a two sport guy may have held him back...and then there's the playing time missed.

a certain poster who is anti nate, keeps screaming from the rooftops that nathan has not/cannot/never will handle any pressure. well there's a good article that talks about every throw being out in under two seconds. kellythepooch....pay attention here. UNDER 2 SECONDS.... if our line is so bad....you get where i'm going i hope. also, there's another anti-nate narrative that he's a rhythm passer, a timing/system guy.....well duh and that seems to work for some guys quite well......brady, brees ..... i know josh is THE guy, but he's a rookie that we can afford to not start right away.

not to mention it's only been the 1st 2 pre season games. stuff will look a lot different against balt. /la/gb and minny in the first 4 weeks. if mcd starts him week one,.....idk, but i would lose a lot of...i wouldn't say respect, but i think the clock will start ticking and only have so much time. he's the kind of guy i think could get us some wins early, especially with daboll. as long as we are winning ya gotta dance with who brung ya. after that or if it don't work out, i don't care. let the kid ball.

i thought ajm was a good pickup. while i have liked nate all along, i figured ajm's experience, college achievements and even his background would give us a gritty, determined, pull it out kind of qb. it looks like i was wrong on this one. maybe it was the 5 mil.? or maybe he catches fire idk. but i will take nate and his completion percentage every day.

while we know allen is the future( i think he'll be great), i am in the camp of not starting him for the first part of the season. i just think he will be better off getting used to the games. even the fact of hearing the home town crowd, being in away stadiums, reviewing game film etc. i think it will benefit a lot. i want him to succeed but i think it would do more for him to take it all in for a while. remember...winning isn't everything....it's the only thing. signed.....the other 52 guys

Bills @ Browns Gameday thread

as far as i'm concerned josh allen has passed ajm and now it's nate then josh -
tonight will fully cement peterman on the 53. ajm is not gonna be no.1.....i way overestimated him. nate will save the night and ya know what?...when he plays the 4th qtr., it's gonna really open some eyes as to the reality of where we are qb wise. i bet right now, he is the best qb of the night with no matter who is on the field with him.

McCarron starts preseason game 2
billsredneck1 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i'm losing faith in ajm. he's too damn hesitant. if you're 3rd and long and the play breaks down why rush for 2. throw it away. late in the game that crap eats up clock and they should be thinking about that now in these pre season games. -
What are you watching for tonight?

i'm looking for edge mike love. he really caught my attention last week.....and who knows if trent will ever pan out. i would hope he comes in game one and skins flacco, but i'm starting to get p'o.d that he can't even get through a full practice. i'm sure he's not a puss, but that seems to be the first word that comes to mind. that being said we may need someone to shaq. also anxious to see coleman and also foster redeem himself. -
We Learn A Lot About Allen When He Plays the Browns
billsredneck1 replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i think they will all have a good game. i don't think the rotation thing at qb is so much as to who starts the season,( i think they already have that planned out), but more so as to get and honest look at guys on the roster. particulary the offensive side where they can give guys a chance to perform behind all 3 and thereby giving them a total view of some skill position players. but the running backwards thing and heaving it into traffic?....or taking that helmet to the chest? i'm sorry but this is about winning games starting week one and not week 6. he ain't ready. -
