  1. funny it was that game that mcd decided to see how versatile his olinemen were.....
  2. with him on the sideline watching and going through the mental reps and seeing what's going on, that will be way more valuable to preparing him than getting tossed in there.
  3. i'm excited to see him get a fair shot. i bet he carries that high comp.% right on into the regular games. put on a clinic nate!
  4. i hope he gets it. if we can beat the ravens, imagine that home crowd for the opener. winning those first 2 automatically puts us atop the wildcard race.
  5. i'm going 10-6, maybe even 11-5. losses to minny, gb....patsx2 then probably @texans.(5) we probably drop one we shouldn't ie. jags at home or jets on the road. (6) however!!!!!! if, trent...( i can't tell if it's my knee or my groin) murphy don't show up and lorax can't fill the void with a dozen sacks, 7-9. no pass rush will kill us. i believe after we have locked up a wildcard spot, we give josh the last game against the dolphins at home.
  6. ....and last year the schedule was brutal, right? no kb til late october...and a hobbling jordan matthews for receivers....rico calling plays, juan ruining the run game until players revolt ...an you know who at qb. looking at all that was last year, how can one not be optimistic this year? edit: not having to see tolbert out there and also not losing my voice yelling..."throw the f...in ball!! will be a huge plus. we are going to the playoffs again!
  7. i'm pretty sure i heard a bills reporter on air state that the team wanted to move on from juan and offered mike tice, but ended up stuck with juan. i believe he will be gone, maybe before the season's over? if they look bad(lost) right off, i wouldn't be surprised to see a change. that's when vlad gets gone.
  8. hitting the backs in space will be the key to loosening up a stacked box. as far as the run game...remember the old counter tre's (sp?) that we ran with thurman? hope to see those kind of pulling plays.
  9. neither one of these guys will catch near as many balls as oleary did last year.....combined. they may have looked good in camp but ....here come the no. defenses and planning thing.....
  10. croom and thomas good blockers......ummmm...lee maybe but he's not much more than a lee smith. i'm just pissed that guys that i had hopes for are getting kicked to the curb and it looks like it's all because...they didn't draft him, bring him in or whatever. as a bills fan, i've seen it a thousand times before and as much as i don't want to feel this way about mcbeane, this is always a huge red flag and when something smells whaleyish, i get worried.
  11. none of the other tight ends won the best te in the nation in college. his dependability will be severely missed if clay goes down. i've been behind my faith in this mcfo from the beginning but..... when i see a new regime seem to find a way to purge every player from the old regime, red flags start flying...... it seems as tho they are purposely disregarding the body of work....the availability and reliability of some players for no other logical reason other than they didn't bring him here. oleary was a much needed piece on this offense and will be badly missed. i'm sorry i haven't been through all the cuts and news yet, but this is gonna bite us in the ass....for no good reason.
  12. that stood out to me. when he has a clean pocket and time, he's good.
  13. i think they will get the most out of him by trading at or near the deadline in october. by then our qb situation should be figured out and some qb somewhere will get hurt.
  14. omg you guys with the out passes. he completed a much needed one to kb the 1st game and hit oleary in the cincy game out to his right for 36 and a score? granted he don't have the arm strength to make that his bread and butter, but he gives us the best chance to put points on the board...now. a.j. is no better on the outs and isn't as fast to process and deliver. and schemes?....schemes are for everybody. cincy didn't have to scheme too hard against josh, nor cleveland against a.j....no? i want the guy that gets rid of the damn ball and gets this offense in a scoring rhythm. winning is what we need. one game at a time. i don't care if it's qb by committee based on opponent, wins are all that matters. as a matter of fact the bills may pave the way for that approach.... .
  15. well nancy....if nate faces cincy and gets the ball out in under 2 seconds, maybe that pass rush from...omg...the bengals, may not have looked so fierce...... oh and btw, mcd shuffled olineman in and out and there was no cohesiveness. it was planned that way according to mc coach so as to see who could play different spots on the line.....but still...nate would smokedem?
  16. i'll take the over. 27-17 bills nate goes 27/33 276 2td . the bills rushing, (collectively)....160 on the ground and 1 td. home to face the chargers! defense forces 2 turnovers and causes plenty of 3 and outs. ( 1 pick and one forced fumble) they come home with a w and it's superbowl, week2 against our nemesis those low down no good chargers. 75 degrees at game time....sold out stadium....oh the mayhem! ?
  17. i agree...clay, croom and oleary. getting rid of oleary would be an xmas gift to the pats....again...
  18. i hope that 5th de is mike love. we may need him and i think he can become what we need. i'm hoping trent murphy comes out crushes it but......jerry can't do it alone.
  19. i see you cut holmes....which would have made 6. i'm going out on a limb and say i believe they keep 7....at least temporarily. they could conceivably make a spot for rayray as a 4th rb. i would bet that at some point early on , there will be an injured wr. i mean, look at those names....someone's gonna miss time. given the 5 you have listed, i would add reilly and foster. reilly may have in fact upped his special teams ability to knock off holmes.
  20. i don't know if he'll be 2nd or 3rd, but i don't think any move will be made at the position until the trade deadline in october when they have things figured out. an early injury or even two could be a real possibility given the teams we face in september.
  21. other than the bye, this may be the best time....if things are going south. on topic, i would absolutely start nate. also, the 4th game is done and most teams have their starter named by week 3. there's no way that mcd hasn't already made that decision known to the team and that they have been gameplanning and practicing for the ravens. practice has been closed for the last few days. i just can't see how mcprocess cannot be mcprepared. it just hasn't been made public yet. if he starts anyone other than nate, he's out thinking things and putting careers at stake. he can't be that mcdumb.
  22. i would have voted 10-11 wins. i believe we can sneak a couple out early. if we can get to 5-3 through the first half, we could very well go 6-2, maybe even 7-1 in the second half. most of the 2nd half games are at home and other than the pats and jags, i think the rest are probably should win games.... even 5-3 down the stretch puts us at 10-6. i'm predicting we will be playing the winner of the afcw in a wildcard game. if they start allen, please disregard the above.
  23. i was ammo too. spent most of my time at the home of the tbirds.
  24. bla,bla,bla....how'd josh do against the first team cincy d? you really wanna go there. he wouldn't have time to heal from ass kickin no.1, to take one in front of the home crowd week 2. some of you guys seem to think this is the wwe. yeah he's a big boy but he got a pre season body slam last week. i don't wanna see suggs try to up that. start nate and win the game. if nate plays 27-17. come home against a crowd that can be heard from another planet get revenge.......and off to game 3. that's my process...
