Who Starts At QB For Week 2? (Poll)
billsredneck1 replied to Paulus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i have to agree with this. let's give nate a shot in good weather at home. i can only imagine what it must have been like for 3 hrs. in the pouring rain with your oline getting thrashed. let nate take the pounding for now but have josh keep his helmet on. -
Who Starts At QB For Week 2? (Poll)

i will step up. i'm still trying to shake the feeling that it was just a horrible dream. but....it was game one in crap conditions and we didn't sacrifice the rookie. i voted start nate next week until they can see what kind ass whooping the chargers are dialing up. .... and tell josh to keep his helmet on. -
Who Starts At QB For Week 2? (Poll)

maybe he figured adjustments made at half time would turn things around but flacco still had all day to throw. i think it was pretty hard headed to throw to kb and hand it to shady nonstop. the offense was as innovative as toilet paper. -
Who Starts At QB For Week 2? (Poll)

i think this is the way i'm leaning too. last year on opening day the patriots saw a 21-0 4th qtr getting it handed to them by k.c. at home.......in good weather. my biggest beef yesterday was ducasse....no extra/lead blocker and frazier is starting to look like the dennison of defense. it's still too early to subject josh to that kind of beating. . i'm also disappointed with the passing attack being basically...throw to kb no matter what. -
yep, they yellow x'd the receivers and they were covered up tight. i want to see ducasse on the bench. teller can't be any worse and why wasn't dimarco blocking? i also noticed only one blitz which was edmunds up the middle which looked great. maybe frazier went to the dc school of wanstandt, idk but if we don't start getting pressure...

i don't know how they'll do but, the good thing about this staff is once they get a taste of winning and smell blood during games.....we could be kicking as$ and taking names....man if we can just win this first game and beat the chargers at home...,we wiil get the confidence of any given sunday, tomorrow is huge! i am so pumped. i can't wait!

Less concerned with O-line than most...

i was thinking the chargers game was the 2nd game and at home, but maybe you get news a day late in the so tier. i think the doom and gloom is..hopefully, overrated...like tsuggs going into his 16th year and yanda could probably be on the downhill side too. quick hits and the running backs out in the flats is the way to go. once we start moving the chains, maybe dimarco with some lead blocking can clear the way for the running game in the 2nd half. take em by surprise early and get the lead. smell the blood and shutem down. joe flacco won't last the entire game. hughes and murphy will deliver the high/low...... -
Cover 1: Bills' Run Defense Continues to Struggle

but he came back and played strong with some flashes. he will be ok. thank god lorax is still here....who btw, i think is gonna be a sack machine this year. keep in my preston brown was a 3rd rd. pick and started every game from day 1. -

you and many others on here can't wait for nate to throw a pick. it's pathetic. that means you hope mcd and mcbeane fail cuase they chose their starting qb. i pray to god nate crushes it. -

can you ever stick with the topic?...instead of..whatever. i hope he puts on a clinic.....but if not and they lose, it's a process until josh wins the job. i choose to be a fan and not a critic. i even started that way with tierod last year. bills 27-17. nate 27-33 276 2 tds. 1 rush td. kb the happiest man on the team.( he did say nate was outstandingly accurate...paraphrasing) of course the game depends on one guy....trent you better show the f up murphy. also, 40 yards in the air is a bomb. nate can do that...and drop it in the basket. just getting that ball out in 2 seconds or less is gonna be huge. you cannot defend that i don't care if it's ivory out of the backfield or kerley over the middle for 15-20 or zay down the right side. smother kb all you want but we have other guys that nate can target. foster will catch a couple of huge throws. -
On the Bills' first offensive snap Sunday...
billsredneck1 replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i'm no oc but i'm going with a 2 back set.....primarily shady and ivory with clay or croom (1te) with kb and zay on the outside. handoff to shady or hit him or ivory in the flat. lather rinse repeat. on 2nd and shorts i'm taking a shot on the outside ( 10-20) or hitting kerley or zay on a slant. 1st and 10 nate threads the needle to croom over the deep middle(25)... and then pop murphy for a few. drive ends up with shady taking it in on the outside from 5-10 yds. out. the idea is get the early lead and the bills go up 10 -0 quick. final score 27-17. game 2 home opener becomes the mecca of table breaking....yum come on nate....make jimbo proud. i have all the faith that you can do it. -
schoop is the worst guy on that station and that comment makes him look stupid....some more. our 5th round pick is our starting qb for now and should be fine as a backup for years to come. not a bad return on a 5th. as far as the op...thanks for your professional you tube analysis. you've seen all the tape and it's out. did you watch and /or monitor practices and listen to the 24/7 coverage from all the beat reporters? listen to player interviews? see every snap in pre season? a lot of people think they can do a bio on peterman based 2017, but this year he is much better. i'm hoping he carves it up. the bolded is impossible....it can't even get past your username. what a moron....

The Bills Are Seven Point Dogs in Week 1
billsredneck1 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
they're getting 7?..right? i think that's a sucker bet. the browns will have a ton of 3 and outs. steelers will control the clock and win by no less than 10, i'd say 14 +. -
The Bills Are Seven Point Dogs in Week 1
billsredneck1 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
first off, i am praying that we get this win. but as far as the above...which is wrong on every point... ok we lost a 35 yr. old head case, an average center, a lower tier average qb and deonte thompson....oops, almost forgot tolbert. how are we weaker? last year we didn't have kb to start and matthews was oft injured....a rookie 2nd rounder, holmes, thompson and tate. i'd say we got a bit better and at least solidified. our wr corps is in much better shape than last year. let's not forget rico is long gone. shady just turning 30 should be no big deal with ivory and murphy....3 good pass catching backs. all we had to do was score 11 points to beat the jags in a playoff game in their house. i'm thinking we can beat the ravens.....and if we do, lookout chargers... -
this is the biggest line of crap that has repeated on here way too many times. if allen were starting, you don't think they'd stack the box and bring the heat. did you see the cincy game? they would definitely shut the run game down, bring pressure and force allen to make quick decisions and beat them through the air. i don't get why people think because allen's in there they will play 2 deep and hope to press man at the line. they would play the same style no matter which qb we put in there, hopefully the counter for us is getting the ball out fast and getting into a rhythm.
-
that's the whole point. through the first 2 pre season games, nate got the ball out in under 2 seconds...every one of them. this oline will play a little better than people think....thanks to nate and dabol. they played good enough to start out with against carolina. didn't look so good against the browns but, greggo was being a richard. the 3rd game was musical chairs and the 4th nobody played so we really haven't seen how they would be coached up for a real game plan yet. i don't think it will be as bad as some are expecting. an extra te and dimarco with lead blocks can help a lot.
