Predict the score: Bills at Vikings
billsredneck1 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i got a good feeling about this game. i think now that josh has had a full week practicing things learned from last week, i think we can trap em and catch them off guard. they're looking to the rams and a couple of t.o.'s gets us some points, so i will repeat my earlier post.... after going down 24-9 midway through the 3rd qtr., the bills get a break with a key t.o. and special teams play. 17 unanswered points and the bills walk out 26-24 winners. put your money down on that spread. bet the mortgage..... edit: ...and leslie frazier gets put up in the booth to "observe, report and support" mcd whose calling in the plays on defense. 2nd edit: ...and don't forget, we have the highest graded lg in vladdy! 3rd edit: if this f.o. had a collective brain, they'd snatch oleary off the fins p.s. my money is on clay loosing a knee at some point. thomas, or worse yet...lee over oleary....seriously? -

after falling to 24-9 midway through the 3rd qtr., josh allen and the bills score 17 unanswered points to win 26-24. -
i think this is the best way to use him, especially if his snaps are limited coming back from injury. i think trent murphy is getting into a groove and will be a major player opposite jerry. i also can't wait to see what nate orchard can do. if we have huges/yarborough and murphy/orchard start playing at a high level, we could have a damn good front 4 going forward.

not for nuthin but i always felt a win when the bills were in white. call me weird or whatever, but it always seemed like the bills played better.... edit: now i'm stoked. bills steal a win here. last weeks 2nd half d shows up early and shows cousins where the bear s..its in the buckwheat. i'm going 28-24 in a hard fought battle.

SI - Josh Allen, Thrown to the Wolves
billsredneck1 replied to TheElectricCompany's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
sorry i didn't read every post but the ones that argue about aikmen and manning are stupid arguments . 1989 and 1998 are far different than today's game and can in no way be compared to how a rookie today has a chance or not. i personally think josh will make it , however i would admit it possible, his growth could be stunted by not having that vet in the room. i can't believe they traded aj. he may have been an" i'm starting or this is bs "guy.....and it very well may have been so, but it is what it is. josh will be fine or pummeled into submission. it's all on the coaches now. if mcd lets his...i mean leslie"s defense start out like last week again, i may just lose an other ounce of respect for him. -
9-19: Steve Beuerlein Talks Josh Allen on WGR
billsredneck1 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
seems like it used to be that ex players who went to the booth were great players(or coaches)....like one of a kind at their position. nowadays, it's like anybody that's at least been on a practice squad or never amounted to much gets a gig and is supposedly an authority( ross tucker....sorry the first name that came to mind)...or they are a positional guru (j. palmer)....etc. that leads me to believe...hell, i should be able to blog for some kind of nfl site.....hmmm maybe a podcast? -
the biggest problem is mills. there was one play( i think 3rd qtr.) where the de ran an inside stunt and mills whiffed and looked like an absolute quitter. those inside stunts aren't making miller's job any easier. if my short term memory serves me, i think it was like a 3rd down and we were in fg range (albeit a long one) and this whiff caused pressure..... and while i was screaming for john boy to throw the ball, he took a sack and killed the fg position. i don't know for the life of me why they don't try someone else at rt. especially if mills is getting eaten alive early on. my preference of lineup would have been....and still is...dawkins lt / miller lg (his natural position) / bodine c (his experience should be able to call protections) / groy at rg (he can help cover mill's ass) and anyone other than mills at rt.

Would you draft Oliver or Bosa?
billsredneck1 replied to Skins Malone's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
really?....serious question, i haven't watched him yet. not only that, but having 10 picks means we can stay put and even use a few on the back end to trade up. if we are picking high in round one that means we are picking high in every round. i would go bpa with out a doubt. we could end up hitting on a half dozen picks in the 1st 4 rounds. -
Philip Rivers: A Sobering Warning
billsredneck1 replied to Jerome007's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
their problem was payday coming at the same time for too many players. i think we will see mcbeane do a good job with his drafting and staggering contract years so that a winning core of players is sustainable. -
how about.....he's giving milano a rest?

Sporting News article - Are Bills in fact rudderless?
billsredneck1 replied to KOKO NFL's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i think what a lot are missing is that beane is building in tiers so that salary cap hell doesn't rain down upon us. now in order to keep guys after the rookie gig, ya gotta have the money. he's doing it so that each year we have only so much to worry about. some decisions have certainly sent up red flags, but i'm gonna roll with the above. also, bring back levi wallace. within 3-4 weeks, we will have another cover corner opposite tre'd. jmgmo this reminds me of not too long ago, the running game sucked at the start but got turned around. hopefully josh will loosen things up a bit so dabol can do his quick hit magic. then we go on a 2nd half winning streak. we can still do it. -
The cap situation McBeane inhereted
billsredneck1 replied to Batman1876's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
sorry i screwed up the first time, but i think trent is going to be a very key player. i tried to pay close attention to him and he gives me the feeling that he's starting to get in the groove and back in the game. he's gonna make some huge, huge plays this year....and if nate orchard can contribute, we could get badass real quick. -
Start Wyatt Teller Thread .. Who's with me?
billsredneck1 replied to WideRightRevenge's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
mills was as bad as mills can get. i was thinking to myself during the game that probably one of the chargers would make a comment similar to last year. i think miller would look a lot better with someone competent next to him.
