  1. ya think? going for it on 4th down in a lollygagging way...then call a time out? i thought for sure they would have took the chip shot fg, but take a time out and then come back and go for it? i thought there was some big time brain farts including the use of time outs. ....and challenging a spot? there was only one time out left if i remember correctly. is it all on mcd? or is there too many spoons in the stew? idk but if we'd have lost that game, this staff would be getting roasted hard.
  2. not to overlook this point. allen has to always throw into tight coverage because the receivers aren't getting separation. why they haven't done something with that group has me baffled. cutting nick really made me mad, but not doing anything about this group is even worse. what do we have...4 tight ends? hell, kerley would probably having the most production of anyone right now. kb is a steaming pile right now and do we really need rayray on the active roster? if miami puts nick back on the p.s., we need to move. why not bring back reilly?....or steal that gentry kid from the bears? why are they sitting on there hands? we have a young qb with accuracy issues and no one that can get open. the only clean productive plays come by blown coverages. i hope they shake things up a little and give this offense a fresh look.
  3. i'm predicting a huge loss next week. after screwing the vegas line in minny, they saw the flags all day in green bay and jerry's jersey could probably have made a tablecloth after.... anyway, they screwed them again this week, so i'm predicting we get taken to the officiating woodshed next week........again..?
  4. why not matt moore? he's been solid forever and this must be about the 10th time we could(ve) have/had him. better than anderson and familiar in the division. but yes...if dabol stays in the booth....so be it.
  5. that's not the point. with him in the gun he doesn't have to backpedal. he can face forward the entire time. he can send one out wide , or he can hand off. he can have someone to pick up the blitz as well as have the ability to make a play opposite of the side the pressure is coming from. we have to develop a counter punch to the blitzing. our opponents will be sending probably the most blitzes this team has ever seen thrown at them over the course of the year. we have to be near the top in having blitzes thrown at us. it also will open up the chance to take shots downfield. start hitting shady and ivory in the flats and the te's working short routes(with success), will force their secondary to play up closer but not be able to crowd the box. run and shoot?
  6. it can't be shady , shady , 3rd and long then punt. they need to keep josh in the shotgun with a 2 back set. this gives them so many options to keep the defense guessing and move the chains. they have to come out with that in a quick pace....at least getting to the line with enough time on the play clock to recognize the defensive lineup. get aggressive and get up on them early.
  7. last year castillo had the title of oline coach and run game coordinator. last year the run game under the zone blocking scheme stunk ( rico or juan? idk) , before eric and richie explained how they had been successful prior and rico or juan..idk...had to redo. i believe at or before the start of this season, juan held the same exact title. again, running game suffering to start off and with the subtractions of richie and eric, there seems to be more confusion/ chaos , WAY more than there should be....even with them gone. juan was here when dabol got hired and i can't see mcd telling dabol, hey if you don't want this guy, by all means hire for yourself. nah....can't see it. so who and what, is the common denominator here? billy boy would have them keeping brady clean. me thinks it's positional coaching.
  8. all he did was make plays...and a lot of them clutch. nah we don't need that around here. besides we have khari lee.... my faith in this process went from optimistic trust to put up or shut up. i can't remember a year where i was looking to next year's draft before november or until we were mathematically eliminated.
  9. the officiating seemed like it was payback for the bills having killed the vegas line the week before. it was criminal.
  10. i'm not going any farther in this thread...mainly cause i'm tired and bitchy, but THE NO. 1 PROBLEM WITH THIS OFFENSE IS THE OLINE. UNTIL CASTILLO IS GONE AND A NEW APPROACH IS TAKEN, THIS LINE WILL BE NOTHING BUT CONSTANT CHAOS. RIP JOSH ALLEN. you can gripe about the lack of talent all day long, but watching these guys whiff on blocks, have defenders run freely into the backfield and look like they have no idea who to block or what the guy next to him is doing is inexcusable.. nothing will change until change is made. MCDERMOTT HAS TO SACK UP, CAN JUAN AND GET SOMEBODY WITH A PROVEN RECORD IN HERE. NOTHING WILL CHANGE UNTIL THEN. i don't know what kind of love affair was established between the two back in the day, but it's gotta end in a divorce....NOW. another thing mcprocess should do is hire jordan plamer as a qb coach and have him on the sideline sunday at 1pm. this not only should help josh tremendously, it should make mcd look like he's got a plan to help this kid succeed. kill two birds with one stone. have a vet qb mentor/ coach and an active set of eyes on the sideline. someone who knows josh inside and out. as a matter of fact, if dabol's gonna stay in the booth ,then the guy relaying the play to josh through the headphones should be palmer. coach, you can thank me later. a pitcher and some wings will do fine.
  11. he needs jim kelly on the sideline....seriously, i think dabol needs to be on the sideline.
  12. some good points. my first gripe is getting rid of ajm. there is no reason to justify that move. peterman won the qb competition. then in a game that the team, as a whole was not prepared for and in a nonstop torrential downpour, yanking nate was another stupid move. that erased the entire effort from may to sept. they should have stuck with nate for the first 4 weeks no matter what. the win against the vikes doesn't mean so much after the spanking we got from the packers and the beating our rookie has taken so far. i think the chances of josh making it through every game without getting banged up or concussed are at best 50/50. it seems like there's been some knee jerk decisions and now they are stuck. all we can do is pray josh makes it through the season in one piece mentally as well physically. as far as the oline goes, i'd bet a different line coach could make this line function much better with a lot less chaos. teflon juan is the vlad ducasse of line coaches.....imo.
  13. the problem i see is that he looks and directs his stature towards his first read. he doesn't turn his head quickly or has no peripheral vision....then bails. it was the biggest beef against toorod and rightfully so but we gotta get this kids clock timer right. hopefully we can put together a line than can pass pro next year. we could probably do much better even now if mcd would relieve jauna be and revamp the oline philosophy. it can be done in a week. do it.
  14. i'm sure it's been said but maybe this is all due to not having one qb getting all the no. 1 reps since may. i was convinced of the competition and as it were , nate won that. .....but knowing the state of the team and the need for time to set things up for their new qb, trading ajm, put up the huge red stupidity flag that i thought i'd never see with this f.o. we needed a year for josh to sit so we can build the offensive side of this roster and they basically wasted 4 months with ajm on the roster...who, btw could possibly be salvaging our season right now. i don't expect to see jackshhttt out of kb now that he has his me attitude rolling. the sooner he's gone the better and in case the f.o. is not aware...the d trade deadline is approaching.
  15. ha, before i clicked on the link to watch, i thought is was going to be all about spending too much time in the huddle and getting up to the line. when you only have a few seconds left on the play clock, you don't have enough time to adjust.....if he actually can even identify what they're doing. i would play him out of the shotgun 100% of the time with a 2 back set....feel bad for repeating this in threads.
  16. technically you are correct and stating the obvious however, our current crop is not getting open....not near enough and quick enough to help josh and the passing game and that to me is very discouraging. oleary always made plays and clutch catches...vs. keeping khari lee? streater if nothing else can damn sure get open deep reilly seemed to have great hands and very good speed. sometimes you have to depend on developing young guys. kerley...well who is playing our slot receiver? coleman ...well ok. i thought they hit on something with a former 1st rd. pick. i don't understand how they saw enough in two weeks to do a 180. point is, people are complaining about not bringing in receivers, but the ones above represent the best options that there are right now. right now we have to go with 2 tight ends to have any options for passing. the problem with that is kb and zay/holmes can be covered one on one leaving the safeties to play the line and/ or blitz. they can put the backers on our tight ends. i guess what i'm trying to say is...i don't know how the f... we are gonna be able to get a pass game going.
  17. like the best lt in the draft so we can move dawkins to the right side. i would also target a center fairly high. just spitballin a 2019 oline.... Lt best pro ready no.1 rated Lt in the draft Lg warmack C bodine/Fa/rookie I have no idea who might be a good fa pickup might be. Rt teller Rt dawkins
  18. everybody's crying about receivers....they cut oleary, kerley, streater, reilly and coleman (so i wouldn't hold my breath on trades).....and we are depending on kb, jones, holmes and foster. omg, now that i just thought about that, i threw up a little in my mouth....ugggh. it's gonna be a long, long year.
  19. sure no problem. we can have a drink together. just give me your name so i'll know who to look for.....nevermind.... a 3yr. old on a bar stool... i should be able to find you..?
  20. if we had a different oline coach, things could be a lot different and if it didn't look like a jailhouse break every play,....just maybe our receivers might look better. those deep outs to jones and those deep throws to foster will start happening.
  21. not only that but he could be a blitz pickup/run decoy and buy the time for josh to go deep. we should be on the payroll yo.
  22. this is why i would keep josh in the gun with a 2 back set. that way he can see those outside defenders creeping up, if he sees a blitz coming from one side , he can hand off or throw a quickie to the back on the opposite side or he can take his shots downfield. i don;t care who the dc is and what they can throw at us, having a 2 back set opens up a ton of options so josh can.. react...if nothing else. also being in the gun ( i would have been hammering this in his head 24/7) ...by the time the 3rd step hits the ground that ball's gotta come out. that 2 back set allows him to do that if he's not seeing his first read downfield. putting him under center when you are facing a blitz crazy team is idiotic. besides, we're not gonna get him throwing in 2.5 or less, anytime soon, so....leave him in the gun with 2 easy options next to him.
  23. he is a good player and this move sucks. why wouldn't they release dt robert thomas whose name we'll never hear...or send one of the lineman that will never be active on gameday back to the p.s. orchard could have been a good chess piece along that line, especially at rushing the passer. i was all for kicking shaq inside, but they are gonna have to keep mixing it up on the line to have success....ie.. lorax on the line vs. minn. i don't think they will as long as teflon juan is around. last year we struggled getting the run game going due to the zone blocking scheme. eric and richie pitched a fit and got it changed back to the power game then the running improved. now that they're gone, juan has his guys locked up. this is why there is so much confusion along the line. these same 5 guys under a different coach could /imo ... would perform a lot better as a unit. seems like mcd will chew everybody's ass but his. he should have been gone with rico.
  24. or allen and clay for foles, cox and a 4th
