If we March Peterman out there again...I will....
billsredneck1 replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
yep. people forget that we only managed 6 points in 3 qtrs. special teams play was a crapshow and penalties killed us. there was more action in the 4th than the previous 3 qtrs. at least we got to see a nice td pass thrown. that sure hasn't been happening much. -
Peterman Could Play in Indy
billsredneck1 replied to billsfan_34's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
they should play nate for the first half in indy. why you ask.... 1. maybe derek isn't in the kind of shape for 60 min. of getting hit. maybe he would suggest to start nate and if things go south , then he'll do what he can do. 2. nate has been the only qb to run and efficient nfl offfensive drive ...and score since....orton? (13 qtrs mean anything?)....and don't say josh in minny cause if it weren't for defensive flags.... 3. if nate can post a couple of scores early and let the defense take care of business, we're ok. 4. if nate starts and things go south, maybe anderson can pull it out and get a win. remember that there is some old tape on him...and it should be good because he hasn't played in what? a year and a half? bottom line is...we have nothing to lose by starting nate. one of 2 things will happen. he does some good drives and puts points up...or anderson will be a good game winning counter punch who hasn't been planned for and can dig us out of a 10 point hole.....maybe....hopefully. i wanna have a winning season as much as anyone else and i support any effort this f.o. does to get that team and locker room there. they ain't gonna tank. peace out ...process. -
maybe, but what was the deal he agreed to? play only if it were down to him with no one else able to suit? i just get the feeling that he took the deal to mentor, not lead the team. i haven't heard about the contract or how much he's making or more importantly incentives. well on one hand , he ( josh)could be on the sideline with a headset listening to everything....how DA communicates and manages the game. could be a huge help in getting josh's head straight.

apparently they had talked to anderson in the spring and the timing wasn't right for him to make a commitment....so we ended up with ajm who didn't want to mentor, he wanted to play. that's why they traded him. if they start nate in indy it could at least be in part to derek not wanting to, not ready or not up to game shape.jmo

Peterman Could Play in Indy

i know, i don't get it. he can put on a classic 80 yd. drive for a score in 2 min. , but i think the problem is that he decided to make his brand by getting rid of the ball quick and it's bit him in the ass. i don't know if those 2 picks were due to play calling or the aforementioned, but i'm a sucker and would love for nate to be able to come out in a game that wasn't affected by weather or desperation and see him operate. i think he can still be a frank reichish backup.i just think there's more there. sorry...flame away -
they should have hired jordan palmer as qb coach and not anderson. did we need a vet? yes but better than that.

The Answer is Sitting in Tampa Bay

now's the time to call philly and get nick foles.... -
i have to disagree. special teams sucked and why would you coach rayray to catch the ball at the one. me thinks let it go into the endzone..i am in no way a rayray fan. he should be on the p.s. with a real receiver in that spot. dabol's playcalling at times is head scratching. they get one run past watt and decide to run that same play 2 more times ( in a row ) and get stuffed. i could be wrong here but the pick 6 play i believe was the second in a row called to kb. why he does these things is mindboggling. mcd...40 seconds left....mcturtle. it's like mcd , frazier and the defense.....then theirs all those other guys. it just doesn't seem like one team on the same wavelength.

this needs to happen today! i would rather give up a 2nd....which would basically be a late 1st.

nate came in and drove the bills to the only td (perfect pass). yes he threw a couple of bad balls trying to make something happen, but at least he didn't run twenty yards backwards and take a sack. i was on the backing allen train, but he was 7th overall and nate was a 5th....and not counting his picks, nate's still a much better passer. i'm not crusading for nate, just pointing out the state of things qb wise.
