the first half of the season the bills have the 4th toughest schedule int the nfl with 5 out of 8 on the road. the 2nd half we have the 3rd easiest. 5 division games and i believe 5 out of 8 at home. if anderson can turn into rich gannon or josh catches fire, we could go 6-2. if we lose today, then mcbeane might as well start tooling the roster for 2019 starting now before the trade deadline. send kb....a 2nd next year and a 2nd in 2020 for carr and cooper. no worries, nate saves the day with 3 unanswered td drives in the 4th qtr. vegas furious again and we get 30 flags thrown on us next week. bills win 24-23

Raiders now Shopping Derek Carr (?)

i wouldn't think of trading allen. send kb , a 2nd next year and a 2nd 2020 for carr and cooper. next year have a qb battle possibly. it would be a good problem to have.... and we have some money to spend. i think we have 2 2nd rd. picks next year, i gotta look that up. -

i don't know how they can redo the money, but carr and cooper could drastically turn around this franchise. qb comp. next year. like kb for ajm. send him, a 2nd this year and next for carr and cooper. -

ok i hope it works out. having josh listed as week to week gives me a gut feeling that they'll kick that can down the road 4-6 weeks and by then this season could be determined. just listening to wgr and read the carr thing and if there is the slightest hint that they may have to give josh the year with the headset on, then they gotta make a move soon. i propose sending kb, a 2nd next year and a 2nd 2020 for carr and cooper. good deal for both teams. -

well first there was the talk of tommy john surgery and how long that takes to overcome. although it was decided surgery was not needed at this time, the injury to that particular ligament is the exact one that determines the tommy john thing. i hope he has a full recovery, but i have a feeling that it will take more time than stated. plus the fact that it took a second opinion to wave the need for surgery would lead me to believe it was at least borderline. -

not only that, but ja is not having surgery now....and that doesn't mean he doen't need it or will need it in the future. there probably is now, an opinion that he needs or will need it, which would kill an entire year at least. the bills should definitely make a move. it would be nice if derek anderson had a gannon mvp type of year, but i doubt it. -

i agree and and all the old cliches that get thrown around like not taking qbs 2 yrs. in a row , or making a move/trade such as this as f.o. taboo are ridiculous. i'd rather have a f.o. that's independent of old tradition(s)....when needed. -

Going Through WORST Possible Scenario With Allen

everybody has their own level of beef with nate, but if he were picked higher....like say first round, he would have been give a handful of straight games and all the picks would be rookie hiccups. but instead it's tar and feather. i think if they 86 nate and he goes else where, it will be another example of how this org. has built it's brand on ruining young qbs. -

on the other hand...the one you're not sitting on.....they shed some bad contracts and avoided overpaying guys who didn't wanna be here. they are bearing through almost 60 mil. in dead money this year.....twice as much as the nearest team. they have 10 picks in the next draft and by the time that gets here we may have 2 picks in each of the first 3 if not 4 rounds. they will have 90 mil.? in cap space to add free agents. so...take a deep breath.....actually what you described above is what happened for 3 yr.s under whaley.....and russ. edit: sorry if this has been pointed out. i didn't read through all the posts. -
i am. did josh hit him in the hands during the regular season? the closest one i saw was when josh was determined to go to him and he was covered like skin x2..... fortunately it was overthrown. foster was just a 2nd, maybe 3rd read and that wasn't happening much. actually, cam and foster should both be playing. if the vet is patient and uses the pocket, maybe those options will have time to open up. imo, rayray should be on the p.s......of course i would have reilly on the roster. we need a younger faster hogan......bad....

that's fine by me cause that means we beat the pats. -
Anderson's real value to the team
billsredneck1 replied to BruceVilanch's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i think this should help josh a lot. he can be on the sideline with the headset on and listen to all the communications. he can watch and listen to how derek manages the game. this may have been a blessing in disguise. hopefully we get a win this week. -
the pats are always drafting qbs. they took jimmy g in the 2nd.

POLL: The Bills' Starting QB on Sunday Will Be:
billsredneck1 replied to Fadingpain's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i'm not necessarily buying that he'll lose the locker room. if you're one of the receivers and you've got someone new throwing the ball, you got to be worried. also, i don't think mcd worries about being popular. he sure wasn't last year. another reason i voted nate is because i don't think DA has any desire to be on the field full time as in 60 min. when they talked to him this spring they probably told him that they wanted a vet to start and play so they could give josh time. i bet he told them he wasn't really interested in the vigor it would take to prepare and they ended up with ajm. he didn't sign for 750k to have to shoulder the season. ajm thought he was a shoo in, but then pre season happened and he didn't want to be a mentor, he wanted to play. hence the trade....... ( although it was mighty stupid to even think about trading him before the deadline. he likely would have won us that game or maybe even stepped in week one and given us a better record so far. the trade was idiotic.) i would doubt, that in any way DA was prepared or believing that he was going to play and i highly doubt he's any where near game shape. lastly, what if DA goes in and gets hurt? then it's nate no matter what. if they start nate and have to switch to DA, then that would be better received i believe.....and if somehow nate can get a win, then that's more time for DA to get up to speed. there really isn't much to debate. take those( you know what) plays out of the playbook and put together a plan nate can easily execute. i would spell kb with holmes (a lot) with zay on the other side and concentrate on croom and clay with rayray in the slot or go with 2 back sets. they can exploit two levels of the field between the numbers....... besides, nate's obviously gonna be on a short leash. if we are keeping indy out of the endzone and nate throws a pick, it won't be an insurmountable task. it's actually the sensible approach. imo
