This entire, miserable season revolves around 1 player
billsredneck1 replied to PUNT750's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
well, let me tell you...they brought in aj and told him what they were looking for...someone to run the team while they evaluate and prepare josh. aj gets a chance to prove himself and get a good contract. then aj kinda sucks/gets dinged through camp and they decide to roll with nate. aj says to hell with that, i'm not gonna stand around being listed as a backup to either of those guys or worse yet be labeled no. 3.....just trade me. they decided most very stupidly to agree to trade him...cause they didn't want the locker room to be at odds....allegedly. so instead of saying , look aj, we will explore trade options near or at the deadline. you're going to honor your contract at least for now. they left themselves with their pants around their ankles.....but wait... aj also screwed himself with such a knee jerk reaction because he would have seen action in game 1. he could very possibly had taken the starting job and maybe we wouldn't be where we are today. bottom line: huge brainfart on both sides of the table. so there ya have it. -
welp, at least we all now know what the B stands for...

Nate Peterman "I'm ready to go win a game"
billsredneck1 replied to BmarvB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
heard that somewhere before....within scrolling range too i might add. take a look at the throw, i think to holmes in the texans game. he has the accuracy to make up a little of zip. but there wasn't nothing slow about that ball. he needs to learn how to milk a second or two to let things develop or chuck it out. -
it's pretty simple, so why doesn't he just sack up and name nate the starter? at this point, he'd probably have to hold a gun to DA's head to get him to play sooo... the choice is kinda easy. oh wait...he's keeping the bears guessing!

Which Trash-Heap QB Would You Have Signed?

well in buffalo he won't be able to confuse protein bars with proweed bars. probably doesn't go well with doing shots at a party. -

so....what do we have to lose by giving him an interview? it doesn't have to be a big public show. -

i wish they would bring him in and at least check him out. wtf? -
i don't know what the argument is here? is it that some of you would rather watch a 35 yr. old backup never had been, start?....the guy who has only mustered 6 points( 3 thanks to field position) and ended the game with a gift wrapped pick 6?...really? i would prefer to give a 2nd year player who is very accurate a fair chance see once and for all if he may possibly have a career in the league. what do we have to lose....but hey, let's let DA take a beating so he can spend next year rehabbing.....wherever he may be.... so who would you name the starter?
-
even if he does clear protocol, you think he wants to play?...and maybe get hurt and ruin his next year when he sure as hell won't be in the league?... all for 750k? and tell me how after his last game losing pick 6, anyone would want to see him play and expect anything better. just name nate the starter and get behind him. rushing a 35 yr. old gimp out there because you found a doctor to sign off on it makes them look more like morons than is already the case. stop the f tardery, go out and get a win. there is no qb other than nate more capable of moving the offense on this team right now.
-
agree on everything and i think it's wrong that they are still jerking him around. name him your starter, give him the reps and get behind the kid. give him a clean slate and 4 qtrs. they should have stuck with him through the first 4 or at least 2, cause allen sure as hell wasn't ready. trading ajm was stupid move no. 1. nate can make the throws to spots neither of the other 2 can and that means a lot when you only have tight windows to throw at. i hope he scores on a couple of good drives early and gets the team behind him. the defense deserves some sort of production to defend. hopefully the good lord blesses him. it seemed as though the f.o. was playing public opinion football with the qb spot to this point. well if they don't stop the f tardery now , it can only get worse. will they declare anderson the starter if he clears protocol by noon on sunday, or insert matt barkley? that would put the capitol S in Stupid and truly prove they are a bit amateur as a staff.

First Round Draft Pick Is ...
billsredneck1 replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
if we can move down and end up with an extra 2nd and 3rd, we could then take the 2 5ths and 2 7ths and turn them into 4ths. wouldn't that make 9 out of 10 picks in the first 4 rds.? yum -
where are all the threads about anderson throwing the game away with a pick 6? where are all the board members with dathrowsasmanypicksaspeterman? everyone is happy that a 35 yr. old couch potata was starting and playing no better, but God forbid if a young guy whose the only qb we have that can throw a f...in td pass, start a game....that isn't in a snowstorm/monsoon or come from behind with only minutes left situation. i have more faith in him putting points on the board than a semi retired worse than fitz qb. i hope he lights it up and gives us a w.

nate is gonna run a real game for us. dabol will be able to show he actually belongs and josh will come in when the time is right. period. there will be no more...who can we bring in as a vet qb...or any of that b.s. one more loss and we are toast. with all the conf. losses , we already are. we will win with nate and pick up some steam to get jacked for next year.
-
bla bla bla....so ...i should root root for DA? and there's no such thing as bad faith. at least with nate we have a chance of seeing the chains move and a first down once in a while...not to mention a perfect end zone throw here and there. if you're happy with what you got, let's discuss the heads in ass thing...
-
i'm not going any farther than this....i'll read the posts later...but this is what should have happened a long time ago. they could have stuck with him past the first game... like the first qtr. he also should have been the starter even after houston. i can't believe all the nate hate when we got the exact same results from DA, that would have had the pitchforks out for nate. he threw a f..ing pick 6 to seal the game last night! nobody treats it as though it means anything!....not to mention 4 picks in 2 games...GTFO. first of all, he's a young guy, without having started a lot of games. he may have even fared better than DA over the last two games and we would have been able to determine for sure whether this guy could have a future here or not. instead, we trotted out a 13 yr. backup who has no plans after december related to football. now, we are forced to play nate and after he pulls off a string of wins, we will all be looking to next year. face it, we are out of the post season, but if nate can roll off some wins and josh has the last couple of games, maybe we can feel good about what we have and get a plan together for adding offensive talent. if this staff doesn't start getting their head outta their ass and quit swaying to public opinion, i'm gonna lose faith quick. please dear Lord give this kid a break and let him shine. he has way more talent than DA and hopefully the time has come to show it...just maybe we will see another td pass....by the only guy that seems to be capable of throwing them.

ok i know i had a few beers before the game was supposed to come on, but i figured it was automatic on channel 8 cbs rochester ny....but no? was it somewhere besides espn? i can't believe local tv wasn't covering this game and i missed the halftime hoopla....wtf?
