that is a quitter's mentality. would you buy a powerball ticket and figure you're gonna lose anyway, so you just throw it out? can you see the future and figure...screw it and stay in bed? one win...this week. that's all that needs to happen. all these teams that looked destined for 10-6 or better, may end up in an 8-8 logjam. wouldn't you rather watch a late december game that could have wc or even the division on the line? sure, all things have to fall in place, but if last year taught us anything, it can happen. why throw the towel in now? you are the kb of fans....

just looked at indy's schedule. they play miami at home this week...hmmm...think about how that could work to our benefit.... anyway then they have texans/titans/cowboys/giants and jags. they might just fall off....

que the barkley/allen thing. idk, with allen i'm a nervous wreck. i was wrong before the last game so i'm praying i'm wrong again.

colts? which makes that ne game a playoff game and if things shape up this way, i like our chances to beat the pats.

Charles Clay - back in 2019?

BAMM!!! 100% right! i check the fins every now and then hoping he goes to the practice squad for some reason. i hope they keep that last spot open! -
since the topic is game prep, i want to give my two cents on what we should do on either side of the ball to beat the jags..... on offense: i think we should come out uptempo with a 4 wide lineup. our wr corp went from a 1 to an 8 in a hurry. if we use four wide and even some bunch formations, guys should be running wide open. they can't cover them all. kb/holmes zay foster thompson. good luck with that jalen. hopefully we can get up early, then maybe we can do clock control with a 2 back set with shady and ivory in the 2nd half. i believe the over right now is 37.5. i'm taking the over. on defense: stop the run! blitz on early downs and get them in 3rd and longs. get blake to throw some picks. i would feel much better about barkley starting because that ball is going to have to come out on time and be spread around. with him playing, i feel optimistic as in "Ok, let's go get a win!" with josh starting, i'm a nervous wreck praying the season doesn't end ugly this sunday.

Given the Keys to Draft How Would U Drive The Car ?
billsredneck1 replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
not knowing where we will pick makes this tough. i would like to be able to trade back and pick up an extra 2nd. i would take both 5's paired with bot 7's and turn those into 4ths. i would take a 4th and the 6th and make it a 3rd. so that would look like... rd. 1. bpa early/mid 20's rd. 2. 2 picks rd. 3. 2 picks (possibly 3 here if the rd. 1 trade back is far enough.) rd. 4. 3 picks 8 - 9 picks in the first 4 rds.? given the way they have been drafting, they should crush it.....plus the free agency money, this team should be oozing talent next year. the great thing about the recent wr moves is that we don't have to draft multiple wrs high. we will have zay jones / foster/ resign thompson / keep or replace holmes and draft a really good one. suddenly we have a respectful arsenal. -
yep, the tables have turned between us and gettleman vs. last year. mcbeane may have to pull the short hairs...lol isn't that the point?...to eat the leftover crap now so we can have a fresh start? i don't understand the roster churn this year that is kinda nickel and dimein us , but next year we can get a whole new vehicle.....

i hope so.

i'm old...well 55, but i like to park as close to the corner and the bar as possible. tailgate like a mofo then sell my tickets to a young couple that has friends (usually) another young couple with no tix and go in the bar pound drafts in front of the big screens then stuff my ass with wings and hope i make it back to chili before i explode.....good day! i've got too much metal in me to do the cold.. ...and steps. stepping outside to smoke now and then (especially around 4:20 )and hear the crowd is fine with me.

There is no way we will beat the Jaguars

with ramsey and bouye(sp?), they will be able to send the corners on blitzes nonstop. not only does that not bode well for shady... that means for allen...look towards first read then run/panic. we can't afford to start the first half with 3 and outs. we have to get the lead early and slam the door. -
1st time full practice....i didn't know that...i hope they use the "taking extra precautions" and decide to start barkley. i don't want to see josh get hammered. i think it's less likely to happen going forward after the jags. maybe they will say..." we looked at the mariota situation and are seeking advice from extra specialists." there's an out for mcd for this week.

that's the thing about these threads that i don't get. you have all these posters who are lining up to declare this season lost already....like 26matteroffact...and anybody holding onto hope is an idiot. that's nothing more than a loser mentality and it sure doesn't fall in line with being an actual fan. i want this team to prepare to win each and every game and for the players and staff to work together fielding the team with the player(s) that give us the best chance to win. looking at this next particular opponent, i believe barkley gives us the best chance. you can put josh in a much more favorable situation by starting him against the fins or even when we get back home. that is not in any way going to stunt his development. that's b.s. if they start barkley and things go south, throw josh in, no big deal. if it's the other way around...season over....home games empty and it will be a slow painful death to the season. imagine being a player on this team knowing there's still a chance and the coach comes in and says... " i know a lot of you may disagree with this, but i'm starting josh because the most important thing going forward is getting him reps for next year." i for one would not be too happy. granted, i'm not seeing what's going on in practice, but given his play pre-injury play and not having played in a while, i have a hard time thinking he's gonna come in and light it up.... and if he doesn't there goes the running game, here comes the pressure, there goes the game.

Jags Game discussion - what say you?
billsredneck1 replied to freddyjj's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
so...even tho the jags lost, they're gonna be like an injured animal next week. i don't want to see chaos. i want to see a vet who has been there done that. people seem to forget that the biggest difference between a good qb performance and a bad one is decision making, timing and getting rid of the ball. this could easily go right back in time where sandlot football gives us our only chance to win and i for one don't put a lot of faith in that. maybe josh has made all those mental corrections... or maybe we''ll be praying once again that the defense can put points on the board because it will be our only chance. people have short memories. barkley should be starting. if things go south, switch to josh and don't look back. if josh starts and things go bad, this staff is going to look as inept as the cleveland browns staff had been. -
not starting barkley against the jags would take the cake imo. if i just judge my gut feelings, it's like... barkley starting = good feeling excited to get a win at home and schedule looks good. fingers crossed. allen starting = sick feeling/loss of hope...could very well go bad...no offense...season officially over. will force myself to keep a sliver of hope, but those are my feelings.
