that's been the defensive blunder for the last 15 years....front 4 pfffft. blitz, blitz and blitz. screw it, we're not playing for the post season so play to put brady on his ass. rushing 4 means he has time to eat lunch before picking us apart. i'm so sick of the candy assed approach to brady. this is the game that will tell us all we need to know about moving forward with frazier...or not. it's time to start b slapping them. play man, send the heat. the only way to beat gronk is to throw brady off his timing....and on his back.

there was a point i believe late in the game where the defense go two big stops and then on 3rd down there was a sparse line. i think detroit threw for a td there.

what's atrocious is rushing 4 on 3rd down in the red zone....it's maddening.

this is an argument in more than one thread. if an elite edge is there in rd. one, ya gotta take him. (josh allen being the most likely). if you get a guy that can give you a couple drive ending sacks a game, it's every bit as good as a deep pass. btw, every team with a rookie qb...and then some, are looking for offensive talent this year. wrs are going to get overdrafted this year. people forget the amount of competition there will be for those guys.

i'm sorry, i'll read the rest of the posts later....but i am rooting for rivers to finally get a ring this year. the guy has had a hall of fame career and the only thing that separates him from the greats is the lombardi. he deserves it. i predict he beats brees and the saints in the sb....38-35. no one including the steelers and pats will beat them en route to the championship.

that play is one example of why i want frazier replaced. you hold them to a 3rd down there and don't send any pressure/blitz?....in a short field?

i think he will and i think david carr ends up a jag next year. they'll have a good draft position in each round. i can see gruden taking a second and a player or a 2nd this year and next. i suppose a 1st wouldn't be out of the question.

100% agree and i'm kinda hoping mcd says that with a growing young defense he wants to bring in a fresh attacking approach on defense and brings in a new dc as well. when i saw trent in coverage i had a flash back to rex...wrecking the defense. with a few more blitzes, i'm convinced we'd have 2 if not 3 more wins.

defenses will figure out jackson just like every other new trend. flacco will lead another team to a conference championship. either he or carr will be a jag. question is what do the bucs and giants/redskins do? i don't see either flacco or carr changing confs.

assuming bosa and oliver are gone, i'd look to trade down a bit and get the best available tackle. i'd get john brown wr in fa and draft johnson in the 2nd.

not to sound ignorant but, what happens stat wise in that case? josh completes a pass...called back for penalty. does that even get recorded in the attempts/comp.? btw ..offensive penalties. i get the turnover with wood and richie but this line and run game have been coming unraveled for a couple of years now and i blame that all on position coaching...or...err....run game coordinator.

agree 100%! he is gonna have opponents where he will need to pick apart defenses with a chain moving, clock eating offense. also by mastering this, he will have more opportunities for the long ball. he has to be able to use all facets of the offense.
