i think if we can get 2 good vet olinemen that will allow us to trade down, hopefully twice in the 1st. we need to do whatever it takes to get an additional 2nd and 3rd. i don't know what combination of vets they can get to sign but, trent brown and paradis or morse?.....d. willams and paradis or morse? i don't think a free agent guard is an absolute must so i'm sticking with center and tackle. that would allow us to get possibly a risner and lindstrom or some sort of center/guard combo. so in free agency... 2 offensive linemen 1 dt i say maybe sheldon richardson could be this year's j. phillips on a one year, career resurrection. 1 wr probably not anyone over 8-9 mil. per 1 te maybe...if so, jesse james. in the draft ( just from what i see and wishful thinking)...after trading down.. 1. montez sweat edge 2. hakeem butler wr 2. bpa ol 3. irv smith jr. te 3. deebo samual wr 4. bpa ol 4. o. ximines edge ( a 5th and a 7th for this pick) 5 bpa rb or dt 6. andy isabella wr 7. bpa rb or dt

Thanks for sharing Bill......

a job for the bills is not a job, it's a dream...

if i were the bills gm....(which i am in my head everyday), in free agency i would sign sheldon richardson , light a fire under his arse for a one year deal. he will have a pro bowl year. i would send shaq to the giants for a 3rd this year and a conditional 4th in 2020. as far as the draft..... i would trade with the panthers for their no. 16 and 2nd rd. pick. ( the panthers really need to build their lines back up.) with the 16th pick i would take montez sweat. with the our no. 40? pick i draft hakeem butler. (as far as i can see, he's rated no.6 among wrs) with the panthers 2nd rd. pick i pick irv smith jr.....te alabama with the giants 3rd rd. pick, i'm hoping bpa center or tackle. ( assuming we sign two quality ol guys in fa) with our 3rd pick, i'd take deebo samual wr with our first pick in the 4th i'd pick oshane ximines edge ( now have two qb killers for years to come) i won't go any farther than this. i'd rather see them package the later picks and move up. so to sum it up... sign trent brown and move dion to the right. sign paradis or morse. sign te jesse james, we draft.. 1. montez sweat edge rusher and a beast, 2. sign hakeem butler ( some have him as the 6th or so rated wr, but at 6'6 he's smooth, fast and fits what we need.) 2. irv snith jr. (outstanding pedigree that will put up great numbers.) 3. bpa ol (maybe the kid from wisconsin) 3. deebo samaul 4. oshane ximines ( another pass rushing demon) bpa the rest of the way. i would like to bring in andy isabella at some point. i know all this may not be easy to decipher but, i am so psyched and addicted to this team i can't think about anything else. i should be working for the team. i'd be happy just being a janitor at obd.( i can say that cause i'm 55 and retired). i need help.....sheesh

My 1st rd pick: OT Greg Little (Ole Miss)
billsredneck1 replied to Peace Frog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
according to cbs sports top 100 and positional ranking noah fant is the no. 1 te at no. 22 coming in at no. 2 is future buffalo bill irv smith jr. at no. 41 coming in at no. 3 is tbd fave t.j. at no 57 why is nobody talking up fant?....and for what it's worth....dabol is familiar with irv smith jr. from alabama. the te is the son of a former 1st rd pick at the position and also the nephew of another pro te, ed smith. for what it's worth , the draft network has smith listed as the no.1 te. you heard it here first: irv smith jr. will be a bill and make charles clay dispensable by august. -
Potential Bubble players from Spotrac
billsredneck1 replied to BarleyNY's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i don't see anyone on the "bubble" list that interests me. however, the free agent pool of defensive linemen is pretty deep. i could see the bills looking at a dt on a short term prove it deal. sheldon richardson and wilkerson are both on that list along with a bunch of others who could possibly tempt the bills to use shaq to maybe move around the draft and get an extra pick? i just don't see shaq doing anymore than he did this year. he is supposed to be an end but, i think he's better kicked inside with murphy and lorax on the end. i'd rather have richardson ( for example ) inside. in the case that they look to upgrade the dt spot, ( along with signing j. phillipps ), i'd like to see them trade down and draft montez sweat and then grab ximines later. those 2 egde guys could give us hughes and lorax replacements for the future. we need to really ramp up the pass rush this year. -
i don't want a guy like that who claim's he's a no.1. i don't see mcbeane signing anyone for 10+ per yr. given the mantra of building through the draft, maybe we only see a te signed in fa. for me that guy is jesse james, maybe they take maxx williams. i think since they signed duke williams (who i think will be a star), that they stick with what they have and draft.... hakeem butler irv smith jr. te deebo samual andy isabella btw....smith's dad was a te selected in the 1st rd. of the 1993 draft and his uncle won a sb at the position. stir in familiarity with dabol, this guy, with that pedigree and his stats at alabama, i'd bet money he becomes a bill. we really need to find a way to get at least one more 2nd rd. pick and hopefully and extra 3rd.

TE Love for early picks in draft .. not me
billsredneck1 replied to WideRightRevenge's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm going to hope we do trade down a bit in the 1st and get an extra 2 (3 would be nice but)....if it's a trade with wash. and we get an extra 2nd... our first pick in the 2nd will be a trade up to the beginning of the round for Hakeem Butler. ( using the pick from Wash. and a 4th) Our original 2nd rd. pick will be Irv Smith jr. te Alabama. I would bet money he's on this roster next year. I think we'll start with 4 and either weed out Thomas or cut Clay. Btw I would package a 5,6 and 7th or future pick to get and extra 3rd....where I take Jenkins and Ximines. Rd. 1 Greg Little ...but if it were me , I would def. take Montez Sweat. I Between him and Ximines, we could have two great ends for the future not to mention a replacement for Lorax ( and Hughes ), with and even better pass rush capability. ( I'm hoping we can upgrade at center and rt via fa.... unless we can somehow land Trent Brown and move Dion over.) Rd. 2 Hakeem Butler wr Irv Smith jr. te Rd. 3 Jenkins c Ximines edge I'd say that's a pretty realistic list. I took most of the positional rankings from cbs sports draft prospect top 50. ( I'd also like to add Isabella.) -
AlphaMock V1 - 4 round mock (pre combine)

so....what's your plan? who do you see in free agency who deserves more than what we give thompson? ...and who do you see us getting in the draft? -
AlphaMock V1 - 4 round mock (pre combine)
billsredneck1 replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
he is fine for that one to two deep targets a game. while i see mcbeane bringing in a fa wr...possibly, i think they will want to draft for the future. there's not much better at that caliber in fa and he knows the system. what do you think they should do at wr? -

billsredneck1 replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i hope we sign d. thompson to give us another outside speed opposite foster...if we go this route. -
i don't know the specifics of the 5th year option, but i have a gut feeling shaq could come into play somewhere. for example, this free agent class of dt's and de's are littered with stars at a great age. if they find themselves stuck at 9, they could go either spot. if they sign one or the other in free agency, they can go bpa at the other spot. they could pick up a great dt in fa and go edge in the draft or the other way around. this could leave shaq as a bargaining chip for a trade up later or facilitate quite a tasty trade in another way. i like the way he has progressed, but at best he's an average edge setter with an average ceiling of around 4 sacks. if they shoot big with free agent oline guys and a decent receiver, that gives them a lot of room to go bpa from our 2nd pick on. i just got feeling about shaq. remember, we got the first pick in the 3rd for tierod.

Would you want Ziggy Ansah if he hits the open market?
billsredneck1 replied to njbuff's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i agree. i think they should look to do the best they can with picking an edge in the draft.....or if they hit on a penetrating dt high then look for a gem edge later. i think we'll be fine at end with rotating shaq / murphy and lorax. i also like yarbourgh in rotation with jerry. i think vast improvement can be made by being more creative.....but frazier's an old dog so hopefully mcd instills some more influence in that area. -
Right Tackle market shaping up
billsredneck1 replied to CaptnCoke11's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
sophmore jinx? i'd like to sign trent brown and move dawkins to the right side and redo a contract for him. then bring in paradis. there's our free agent oline spending. if we do that then we can go a few different ways...ie. sign ziggy ansah and go oline /wr early......or go bpa (oliver?)....or trade down and gather picks. i'm not as concerned with pass rush(er) as much as i'm concerned with frazier's 90's defense. we will still have.... a hopefully progressing shaq.... a healthy trent murphy looking to make a stand....and lorax to mix all over. maybe mike love develops. either way , it doesn't matter if frazier isn't aggressive. at least we got rid of crossman and juan. next year will be frazier. -
Which is a better investment? Offense or Defense?
billsredneck1 replied to iinii's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
maybe so....but d ranking aside look what the pats d did to rivers....they messed that guy up on every single snap.....then did enough to win in k.c. the rams d won the game against dallas and like it or not did it against the saints. the common denominator that i'm seeing is that the better defense is winning the games..... my greatest hope is that our offense will at least come closer to our defense next year. i am so excited to have a qb to go through camp with and build around. for once, no qb searches or competitions and just building the team. we are gonna be one badass opponent next year. it will be the greatest year ....like 1990.....hope we get a holder that hauschmoney can work with.....i think that was the problem.....i digress//// -
the comparison i made with mcbeane and kelly was mainly about the tear down. no one knows what will happen...we could sign ziggy ansah to a one or 2 year deal and get risner or facsimile along with harry or butler. it's anybody's guess as to what will happen, but one thing i do know is that this is the first year that i have been digesting draft prospects this hard before free agency. this team/ board is so addicting......
-
he reminds me of the mayhem chip kelly unleashed in philly.....but what happened just a couple years later?..... i think chucky's gonna build from the inside out. i think he'd rather have 2 top ten picks vs. 1 and the 2 late rounders. i think he's game on trading up......oh the scenarios.... mcbeane made moves with 2 late firsts last year and if he can get his hands on those 2 late oakland picks, i would expect to end up with an allen/edmunds combo again. i think he will use that extra 4th and those late round picks to make the most out of this draft.
-
i smell trouble between chucky and carr....
-
jacksonville trade for carr . they cut a couple of high priced defensive guys....offer future picks and or move a ways down in the 1st rd. flacco goes to washington. redskins take a project qb later. tannehil stays in miami...maybe they would rather use the picks to build around him. maybe they bring over bortles. dalton stays in cincy but, cincy tries to be a player for lock or jones. foles goes to denver. don't see him in his current division or the nfc. oakland rides with a.j. mccarron. maybe bring in brigewater. i think gruden will want to take a couple of years to build from the inside out.
-
how about left to right....trent brown / teller / paradis / miller / dawkins ( redo his contract to make him happy)...at today's price. draft: risner and lindstrom

Bakin’s Mock Draft - Cuz it’s Friday and....
billsredneck1 replied to Bakin's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
good points, it has been said... oliver = sapp.....but if not..... oliver= me nervous. he's getting more hype than harry did , being rd. 2 but at 9? i'm sure mcbeane has it under control. i can / should nap now...lol -
i think the jets go dlineman here. no richardson or wilkerson, they gotta retool and they already have leo. williams. i can't see a tackle or guard going that high. i think the trade downs are gonna happen right off and i think there will be at least 2 trade downs by the time we pick and maybe even dried up by the time we pick. anyway if oliver's there....i have read that's he's the next warren sapp...and i'd be good with that but, please dear lord give us another josh allen! not gonna hold my breath though....
