what are we gonna do with a dozen line guys and a dozen receivers?...seriously?

i'm curious as to what their thoughts are after meeting oliver. as much as i'd like to have him at 9, i think we really need an extra 2nd and 3rd if we're gonna do any trading up.....which i hope doesn't have to happen. i hate to sound redundant but i would send shaq to atl. as part of a deal to get brady jarrett with the caveat of trading 9 for 14 and their 2nd. this would alleviate some cap for atl. and give them a guy who play end or kick inside. i think we need more production than just setting the edge. i don't think shaq will ever be an all around end especially that of a 19th pick. secondly, i would trade 14 for 16 with carolina for a 3rd. i think sweat will make it to 16. (all the early teams with young qbs will be over drafting wrs and weapons for their young qbs.) then i think with their 1st 3rd, i'd pick o. ximines. that gives us an all pro dt and 2 terrific pass rushers to groom and use behind hughes and lorax. we were 21st in hits and 26th in sacks (iirc) and that's gotta change. i think they can get tillery dt or simmons dt later 3rd and possibly even 4th due to tillery's bad rep and simmons recent acl tear. we could move on from starr next year and have a great front 7. like it or not they have to really put some talent on the defense. that still leaves us an extra 2, possibly a 3rd and two 4ths to deal with offense so....man i can't wait til draft day!

i think the pass rush problem is in large part on frazier....and mcd. we were 21st in hits and 26th in sacks...iirc. we need to blitz and stunt more. every time he sent bush or neal....SACK. tremaine and milano help from their spots, but mcfrazier is gonna have to update to 2019 if we're gonna gain any ground.

as far as oline i would tend to think they may be hoping to get dillard ot and a c/gd type like dieter in the early mid rds. i think for this year they may be content to go... dawkins/feliciano/morse/long/ty and bring the young guys up for next year and beyond. none of the signees will be here for more than a year maybe 2....except for morse. however, there's no telling what they do in the draft. if they go rt at 9, i'm all for kicking dion inside. i just hope they establish a starting 5 early in camp and not be playing musical chairs all thru the pre season. btw, fwiw i know the dl creativity thing is in another thread somewhere but, teller was the defensive player of the year in va. his senior year in h.s. he was off to a possibly great dline career in college until injuries along their oline had the coach switch him over. i'd bet he'd jump at the chance to play the other side again. i wouldn't be be surprised....

i don't get why people think simmons and tillery will go so high. tillery is a known party animal best suited for pissin off the powers that be and simmons just tore an acl one month ago and could miss his entire rookie season. i'm thinking late 3rd/4th for these guys.

i can see the giants trading for rosen and not giving up their 1st rounder. i think they go oline there. ie. jonah williams. that leaves haskins sliding our way. as far as the jets, i think greggo the ahole will end up with josh allen. so... 1. murray 2. bosa 3.allen 4.q.williams 5.bucs? 6.jonah williams 7.jags? dk? 8. greedy williams 9.oliver or trade with cincy. / atl. / wash. / chucky....who knows? one thing i do know for sure is that mcfo will do something that i never would have seen coming. if they do trade down i hope they concentrate on rushers x2 sweat and ximines. maybe they like a 3 tech in rd. 3 or 4....or maybe they stay put and take oliver. i myself would probably rather have oaklands later 1st rd picks with a swap of 2nds, but like i said, i'll just expect the unexpected. i do however believe at pick 9 the phone will be blowing up.

i would take him at 9 because we can get a disruptive 3 tech a bit lower. ie. jerry tillery ....a nasty disruptive dt whose partying habits will get him passed over til maybe rd.3 and after. also, jeffery simmons whose recent acl will most likely keep him out his rookie year. then i'd like to mention daniel wise who may last to the 4th. another big nasty 3 tech, point being, yes oliver would be great, but at the expense of possibly setting our pass rush to elite status for years to come. therefore i would choose sweat and do whatever it took to get ximines....maybe use a 4th and 5th and a pick from next year to move up to get him. i know everyone wants a te and oline , but we could have a pass rush rotation of hughes(who should get a 2 yr. ext.)..sweat, ximines and love while finding a dt somewhere along the line like i mentioned above or maybe via post june 1st cuts...or one more splash signing like a trade for grady jarett. if worse comes to worse kick shaq (contract?) or murphy inside. i'd also like to pose the question....if oliver is there at 9 and the phone is ringing off the hook?.....

if we were to do just one more fa signing, i would vote for zach brown. then if all things stayed the same it would be zach olb and then split time between murphy and lorax on end, line them both up or kick shaq inside. of course if they pick oliver that's great. i don't know where they'll go with pass rushers, but i hope they prioritize this draft. imagine if we ended up with oliver, sweat and oximines. i would have to take a shower.
