i felt bad for that guy. i think they left him in cleveland to find his own way home. he did ok in sd for a couple of years after. btw, that wasn't the greatest throw.

i'm not worried about his improvement. the last game of the year the staff went for an over 60 comp. %. they accomplished that. they will drill into him to take the open guy in the flat ( like ivory was all season) and that % will go beyond 62 to 65. they will also work on a timing based offense. remember where dabol came from. i'm expecting big strides from josh this year and above all his will/drive/desire to win will make this all come to fruition. take a look at what they've done with the line but as importantly the wrs. brown beasley jones foster and the duke...not to mention roberts. if they get a deebo samual and andy isabella, who can learn behind beasley , we're set. no dk needed. lastly with them keeping shady and signing gore, that tells me that they believe they can go far this year. the fact that they're rolling with 2 future hofers instead of worrying about developing a young stable of backs, to me means they are gonna make a run for the money. -
Schein: "Buffalo Bills, Cinderella team?"

i was in and out of one bills live today and someone ( i thought it was him), was making a case for cb at 9. the reasoning being that if there's good or great coverage that trumps having a good pass rush. well i disagree with that 150%. how many times have we seen qbs sit back there and tie their shoes or eat lunch before picking us apart. i don't care how good your corners are, the wr is gonna eventually break open....not to mention we have the best backfield we've had since the 90's. i may be wrong on who that guest was, but imo that was a bad take. picking a cb at 9 will give me flashbacks....and not good ones. -
if they get a dt like oliver, edmunds could turn into a sack machine shootin the gap from the middle. that's where we need to step it up. blitz more sure, but doing it up the middle helps the outside rush as well. as far as zach brown goes, i really like him, but i think he burned a bridge when he left. i don't think they are even going to consider him.

or 11-5 with a sweep of the jets. i'm thinking at least 10-6 and command a wildcard. looking at the other divisions.... no way kc repeats last year's success....more like 8-8. denver and oakland improve but the chargers take the division. denver may go 9-7 the colts are back and with foles in jville maybe those 4 teams beat the crap out of each other and maybe houston makes a wc. with cleveland improving and the bengals and steelers doing a bit of a backslide, i don't see a wc here, jackson has sophmore slump and big questions about that move will be out. i think flacco will outplay him in denver. therefore i think the bills are no worse than a 2 seed in the wildcard. i think the battle for the 2nd wc will be between denver and houston. i think there will be a qb controversy with the titans....vrabel blows a gasket and locker room is divided. -

a 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th to move up?....or that with both 4ths?.....ummm hell no. i could see them using a 3rd and 4th to get an extra 2nd for irv smith. -

i hope they use every pick after the 4th to move up. i'd rather have 6 guys that can make the roster instead of 10 all over the place picks.....not to mention if we can gain another 2 4ths in doing so , that gives us a couple of 4ths to move up with. -

Will the Bills move up for Quinnen Williams?
billsredneck1 replied to Rebel101's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i'm hoping ed oliver falls in our lap(s). a lot is made about size but, he's maybe an inch shorter while being a few lbs. heavier than williams. another thing is that mcbeane's tendency seems to lean towards experience and body of work. ie. seniors.....however, neither are that but williams was a soph. and oliver a jr. oliver gets the nod with the body of work and even though it's a different conference, there's much more to go on. i'm sure williams will be good, but i don't think he'll have the pass rush ability any where near oliver. ...and that is what we need, pressure up the middle especially against marcia. edit: i know i keep flip flopping on this or trade down, i just can't make up my mind. i'm sure they'll do something i never saw coming. -
they will probably maybe pick one late or udfa. with barkley i think rolling with 2 is safe and there's no need to keep anderson around to mentor or coach. chad kelly qb3 would be a great move and still p.s doable?
-
i think derek anderson retires...at some point before final cuts.

i'm thinking mcoy center from texas for sure...rd 3/4. i don't think they'll get any of the high tackles, i don't know what they'll do there. i wish dawkins was willing and able to go to rt. not sure how nseke feels about the rt spot, seems his gig is left tackle. sorry didn't see this before i posted.

....and change your username to jerrysullivan'sghost heard shaq on one bills live saying he has worked on strength and is much stronger than this time last year. if they think they can move him inside on passing downs, maybe they think they can go edge high and dt a little later. 22 more days.........

on the premise of beane trading up, i wouldn't say he wouldn't, but i doubt he will in this draft unless someone incredible falls close to us....round one after the first round, i can see it and actually think trading those late rounders is a must. however, i think the ace in the hole will be possibly moving shaq in a deal. he got the 1st pick in the 3rd for tyrod, so i could see him moved to help us maybe, back into the first or for a pick.
-
ok like him. he would love the tailgating in buffalo. 07:10 am and i'm feeling like firing up the grill..... edit: while i do like this guy, we already have him on this team. just kick shaq inside....play murphy/lorax and love at end...or try to move down a couple of spots and pick sweat. i'd rather do that and target tillery or.....

i was thinking kahlil hodge ub with the 6th rd. pick could end up being a steal. -
my guess too. would be nice to get one on them before greggo gets the pass rush up to speed.

Full Intelligent Breakdown of DK Metcalf
billsredneck1 replied to Scorp83's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
wouldn't be surprised if he took dk at 6. all the teams ahead of us need wr talent very much....especially the ones with young qbs that need to surround them with weapons... ie. the jets, az and including oak, miami and detroit, so my point is at some time this draft there is gonna be a major run at wr. do they start taking them high or wait til their high 2nd round picks who knows, but at least a few are gonna be drafted higher than most think. -
i'm curious what the stat is on fred converting 3rd downs to 1st downs. whenever it was 3rd and short to 3rd and 5 or even 6, i used to always say(to the tv), don't do anything stupid just give the ball to fred. it was like a guaranteed 1st down.

i get it....i want oliver @9 if that goes that way, but i just can't see taking hock that high. i still got eric ebron syndrome....and all the others. could hock be a gronk? i suppose, but making a kickass line and pass rush is why we went after all the fa's...so we can do that. we got our lee smith in fisher. tyler kroft is a good te and croom is family?
