Tony Pauline: 3 Horse Race for #9
billsredneck1 replied to N.Y. Orangeman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i don't see williams at all. if for some reason oliver is gone, i can see a trade down where they have options between guys like wilkins, ferrell (sp?) or dillard. this would be their plan b with their board. they probably have a 100 situations planned out on who they can get where and what moves may give them extra options. i know it's been going through my mind 24/7. 13 days...i will take a nap that day so in case the old lady gets yappin about the tv, i've got the bar picked out where i will be. -
Offense or Defense in Round 1

hadn't given that a thought but would be a smart move to groom star's replacement for next year....although i doubt they will set themselves up for multiple 2nd contracts due at the same time. -

shaq a 4th and a 2020 2nd would be my offer for clark. -

at some point we are going to have to pony up if we want pro bowlers and difference makers on this team. i would hope....trade them shaq / a 4th and a 2020 2nd. maybe they can sign him to a 4, most likely have to be 5 yr. deal at 18-20mil per and pay big bonus upfront to lessen the blow over the contract. clark and oliver? that would automatically allow hughes to get back to double digits also. sounds good to me -

i get the bpa thing ,but i don't want my first pick to be wr. this could be another year of like the last 25 where we get good on one side of the ball and the other ...our pants are down. that's gotta be the biggest frustration of being a bills fan forever....excluding only the sb years. we fix one side and take a dump on the other. if we don't stud up on the dline and edge, we can light the world on fire on offense and finish 8-8....all for nought. that being said, i go deebo in the 2nd...idk. a big andre reed 2.0 that's gonna give as much as he receives....no fear, sure hands and big gains, movin the chains. i think we've done very well with the fa's. if we leave a hole(s) on defense, that will be a shame especially since one or two studs could put us at the top. i wish we had 2 picks in the 2nd and 3rd. we'll get to see brandon and his magic beanes in 15 days. gonna be one of the most exciting overall drafts that i can remember.....imo -

What's the better strategy for the Cardinals?
billsredneck1 replied to D521646's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would dangle the Murray carrot in front of Chucky 2minutes before the draft starts. They could end up picking 1st and 4th in 1st 3 rounds. I think Murray is fools gold. Might as well be a raider. -
Your Best Case Scenario for 2019 Draft
billsredneck1 replied to BillsfaninSB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i doubt he slides that far but, nate geary on the wgr website had a good realistic trade. he figures if drew lock is till on the board that cincy will jump the broncos and it's gonna cost them their 2nd. the bills get oliver at no.11. in the 2nd they get rizner at 40 and irv smith at 42. wish he went further in the rounds...but, i think rd. 3 bpa edge o. ximines? zach allen? -

lol the sabres need a hockey version of chuck dickerson to cover them....now that would be entertaining -
17 days from the nfl draft and nothing but nhl and sabres! DAMMIT! no one bills live...no football talk at all. the morning show is a sabres show and a waste of time in general .... schopp is another bunch of hours of sabres crap. the instigators are irritating. now, i have nothing against hockey fans and all that but i have less than zero interest in hockey and if the bills sucked as bad, i'd understand all the hockey talk. but for the love of spring, and the month of the biggest off season event in the most important sport, why can't this station take a little bit of a break from the politics of a last place franchise. what really gets me is that it seems like every one that ever talks hockey has that 1980's dana carvey accent and it seems so damn fake. rob ray don't talk like that, so he gets a pass. i should have re-upped my sirius xm nfl network. good lord....it's such a soap opera. falme away, had to get that off my chest.

i think this is who they might prefer. as far as the other two, the most common talking points i hear mainly on one bills live with guests such as greg cosell are that jonah williams is primarily a left tackle ( didn't he spend 3 yrs. there?). he could be projected at guard and apparently got eaten alive by clelin ferrell in the championship game. i also hear that while he's technically sound and a good athlete, he has short arms and not really a mauler. what i hear on j. taylor is that he's huge and powerful plus has a nasty streak. didn't he also spend his college career at rt? i don't think these guys are as versatile as a lot of people make them out to be. dillard gets nothing but high praise as a lt with the only knock being that he was in a primarily passing offense so there's not a lot to go on in the run game. as for me if i had to pick between williams and taylor, i'd pick taylor and plan on him being the rt of the future.....but i don't really want to have to take one at 9. we may be able to get dillard in the 15 range. i have no clue what they will do. i just hope they come away with a big nasty dt and at least one promising edge.

Reading tea leaves: Bills trade down with NYG or OAK
billsredneck1 replied to Estro's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
18 days!.....don't like to wish away time ( that i should spend fishing) but this stress is too much! trade back with carolina, grab a 2nd and 3rd and give them a 4th. grab clelin ferrell at 16.... get risner and tillery in the 2nd,...ximines and mike mc coy in the 3rd,...trade back into the 3rd and take jace sternberger, trade the rest of the picks for bpa (isabella)and bryce love. there's today's random thoughts.... -
O Line continuity concerns?
billsredneck1 replied to twist_to_open's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i believe long and nseke played these spots together in wash. the biggest oline improvement that could be made has already been done. juan is gone. he was set from his days in h.s. to become a stud defensive line player.... until his college coach forced the switch due to injuries. i bet had he stayed put, he would have been drafted much higher. maybe they toy with that a bit? i'd like to see him take a few dt snaps..... -
Hypothetical Mock, Who would u select @ #9
billsredneck1 replied to BillsFan1988's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
taylor's off the board at 7. if things fell this way, there are a few teams who would happily move up for white. if i'm mcbeane, i'm trading with carolina for no.9 and a 4th for no.16, a 2nd and 3rd. they would jump at replacing thomas davis. however on topic..... hard to pass on j. williams, but i think the bills would rather have dillard and could surprise taking him at 9. as far as me, i guess i'd go with clelin ferrell de. i do this figuring i can get a 3tech the next day. ( as far as burns goes, he will spend most of his effort putting on and keeping on weight. reminds me of a dion jordan.) i heard that and commented on it. that is absolute b.s. and i will be the first to implode....for a couple of reasons... 1. we have the best backfield we've had since the 90's 2. give any qb time, they'll find an open guy. how many times do we see a qb have time to tie his shoes or send a text then complete a pass? i don't care how good the corners are. if there's no pressure, sooner or later the wrs break open. -
The fate of Ray-Ray McCloud?

I agree that's why I was thinking of rayray to p.s. the question is, how many wrs do we carry? -

possibly, but he's still a 7th rounder....for a team with room for a gadget guy like maybe the ravens? -

kinda hard to make sense of your chart....so i'm lining them up like this....brown beasley jones/duke foster. outlier roberts and rookie. that may not seem like much to most , but that is one badass wr lineup for josh especially compared to last year. i'm thinking draftwise...deebo samual to push jones and isabella to groom behind the bease. lookin good! edit...if they draft 2, how many do they keep on the roster?
