Ed Oliver would be great, but if the Jets take him at 3 and Beane wants to boost defense, how bout Devin White? Throw him in there with Edmunds and Milano and we have the best LBs in the NFL. Not a bad reality for Buffalo. I hope McBeane play with that dynamic.

i was thinking about how that could help the run defense...an extra 100 tackles...

edit: just read a chris trepasso article on other lbs in this class so i changed my mind. no devin white at 9.

Not even in the ball park. But I do think they are a perfect team who would take a 2020 first instead of a 2nd this year

yeah you're probably right. i don't see beane parting with a future 1st and i don't see him giving up this year's picks either.  i think he'll play the let the draft come to us card.

i guess all i can pray for at least 2 qbs going . we might have to jump the lions though.

i want ed oliver in the first with parris campbell or hakeem butler in the second plz

i could live with that. the only thing is who do we cut at wr? someone's not gonna make it. we can only carry so many. that being said, beasley/brown and foster are locks.

i heard duke williams on onebillslive today and this guy is gonna ball. i'm thinking eric moulds type of ball.  then we have zay jones and mc kenzie and apparently they're gonna carry roberts for returns. i suppose with campbell or butler that could be 8?  i like campbell, but butler seems like(to me), a slippery slant/post, big play guy.

as opposed to a year ago, we are going to enter the season with a wr corp that's going to be impossible to cover. i am so psyched!

however, to follow up on your statement,  i wouldn't mind if they followed up with a jaylon ferguson type of pick after oliver.

i'm going nuts a few days away from the draft. i need to check into some kind of bills/nfl addiction program.  sheesh

Makes sense with the amount of contact and interest they have had with the kid.

As much as I enjoy all the discussion around other prospects, I cannot see Beane drafting a player at 9 that they have not gone out of their way to get to know a lot better.

the only bad thing i'm afraid is that this is broadcasting to every team ahead of us to take him or get some other team to jump us by a spot or 2.

Chris Simms has Lawrence ranked ahead of Oliver and just a hair behind Q Williams.  Says he is extremely disruptive and is not just a space-eater.  Dude weighs 340.

they can coach up hand usage and rush moves. i think it's more of a frame of mind with the player and how he was used/ coached. also, who was on the same line.

he was probably expected to eat up blockers where maybe he has the talent to get after the qb as well.  if i were coaching him, i'd ask him ....do you wanna be a monster?

do you wanna set records and get sacks? do you wanna be the best and show everyone that you're better than q. williams? i saw the simms breakdown. i love his podcasts and thanks to whoever originally posted that link because i've watched hours of them.  his edge breakdown is great as well.

  5. My prediction/plan....

    1st rd.

    2nd rd.

    3rd rd.

    Trade  4th/5th/ 7th  for 3rd

    Trade 5th/ 6th  for 4th

    That gives us....

    1. Oliver

    2. BPA Edge

    3. Sternberger TE

    3. McCoy  Center

    4. BPA  WR  (Would love Iasbella to learn from Beasley). They may like a Kelvin Harmon here.

    4. BPA   OL   ( Blue Chip Tackle)

They could move up for an extra 2nd.  I think Mcbeane will knock it out of the park with regard to fortifying the Dline (Dt and Edge). I expect they'll find a linebacker as well.   Maybe K. Hodge UFDA?   I think rather than trade down, I think they will take advantage of the good spots in rd. 1 and 2.

Other than that, I expect good players picked for OL/TE/WR/RB. They may skip RB altogether or go UFDA.

One thing that I was amazed at last year was that, each pick had quite a backstory. They sure seem to be able to find some gems.

  6. i know i'm delusional, but if i had to bet money on whether or not they picked dk at 9, i would say to my delusional self....self, they got a crapton of linemen, all with some starting experience. they also grabbed enough experienced receivers to fill out a roster.  however, they didn't fill the hole left by kyle.

therefore, through much delusional contemplation, i would put my money on another position  picked at 9.

edit: however, i trust these guys and will 100% support whatever decision they make.

...exactly my point......10-6 and and 1-1 split works for me.......with no "Dalton Intervention"......think about all of the potential roster newness and Josh getting acclimated....gratifying accomplishment or meh?...just askin'........

i think the fact that we have a whole new team....which basically makes dabol a new oc is going to give us an early season advantage. i'm praying we have a good summer....

starting 5 oline figured out right away....josh being much improved with timing and taking what is given...and an attacking defense.

...I'd be satisfied with a 1-1 Pats split and a WC berth earned on our own......would be a decent accomplishment IMO.............

it will probably take 10-6 to do it.  unlike most predictions that i've seen so far,  i'm going with a win week one and i'm also counting a win at home against philly.  i also believe we can beat those low down titans in their crib.

i believe weeks 7,8,and 9 will be a 3 game win streak where we start clicking on all cylinders, getting some national buzz.  if we can start no worse than 3-2,  i can see a possible 11-5.   my losses...ne x2,  pitt, the cowboys and maybe dropping a close one against some team we should have beat...ie. the ravens in a defensive field goal battle.

I think, like other teams are with QB’s, the Bills want to see what falls to them.

If Allen falls to 5, would you rather trade up and get him or trade to get a Clark whom you also have to pay.

Most of the player trades are available for 2nd rounders, Friday morning/afternoon could be an interesting day.

I think Rosen could go sooner, but those QB teams may view him as plan B

i think it'd be smart for miami to get rosen and immediately build their lines.  not that i would wish them luck, but it will be interesting to see what they do.

    play pooha for tua?

I see this as two up-and-coming teams with young franchise QBs, ready to take the next step forward.

I'm curious to see what happens in the draft, and how Josh Allen/Sam Darnold progress during training camp and preseason.

It's a real toss-up.  But right now, I prefer our overall roster and the fact we have an established coaching staff.

    1-0

i think we win this one. i know neither has drafted yet, but we basically have a whole new team which will be hard for the jets to game plan against. i like dabol vs. greggo.

i think we get the edge in this one. i think we'll have too much to defend.

The lack of primetime games could also be a trade off for having less december home games. I think its the league's way of saying get a new stadium.

i may be in the minority here, but i don't see the need for a new stadium. the pegs just spent 25 mil on a state of the art sports science/training facility (which they bought the land for next door) and i don't think they can possibly find a better location....geographically for the entire complex. the new facility is a one of a kind , top notch innovation. i don't think any other team has anything even close.

i can't see any other location where the tailgating could be as good of an experience.  downtown would suck and we'd probably lose a ton of canadian fans by going some place like batavia.

i do think that considering a retractable roof may/should be considered. i love the bad weather karma for late season games as much as anybody, but a retractable roof would probably get more later season prime time games as well as be a big money maker as a year round venue of events. jmo

I know it’s way too early and all, but it’s been awhile since a schedule came out that I have liked as much as this one. I’m seeing many wins, make it so McBeane.

if they can do no worse than 3-2 before the bye,  weeks 7,8 and 9 could be where this team really starts to click and give us a head of steam going through the back stretch.

    i'm expecting at least 10-6.

Who knows maybe, but there's not really enough time in the off-season to try stuff like this.

maybe, but if the draft falls to where bpa is edge...and shaq gets us draft position or a pick, why not? it's not as if it would be like fisher switching to te.

teller could do this in a heartbeat. trust the redneck process.....ahead of the curve yo.
