Deonte Thompson- Another Belle Glade Product
billsredneck1 replied to billsfan_34's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i for one am psyched about this signing given tt's history with knowing this guy. i suspect instant chemistry...combined with dt's attitude to prove himself this could be the perfect combo this team has been needing. not taking away from matthews but this could really turn into something.....unless of course they do something stupid and cut him when clay comes back. i think this guy alone makes taylor a 280-300 yard a game passer on a regular basis. i am very grateful and pumped about this signing!.....not to take away from the topic -

Who do we want to win today? NE vs NYJ?
billsredneck1 replied to wppete's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
man they are getting screwed. that's almost as bad as the last play of last year's superbowl. i wish i could find that video. -
i like tate and think he can be very good. i think he's maturing quite well and could serve well as a speedy slot or home run option. he's had enough experience now to be sure handed and a good route runner. not down on him at all. whats up with streeter?

What do the Bills do to fix this offense?

i know right? seems like they think tolbert is blount and he ain't. they need to switch things up a bit. i sure wish they'd bring reilly up. it would be interesting to see what they are going to do for practice/gameplanning this next week. -
I don't know what does. I like Tyrod and respect his abilities and am grateful for what he's done so far....but dammit, this is the NFL, ...not a backyard game. Our QB ain';t gonna cut it. I thought we were going to see Nate at one point and maybe that would have changed things up, I don't know, we have a QB that for every good play, we can count on a bad throw or not enough sense to throw it away. THROW THE F'ING BALL...DAMMIT TT!.....and btw....where the f was the safety help over A.J. Green? There was no reason to lose this game. When your d hands you the ball that many times and you can't convert.....I think a lot of the play calling sucked.

richie incognito "nothing to do here"
billsredneck1 replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
he maybe should go fishing with eric wood. -
did he not win the best college te in the country...as in ..the nation? he's got exactly the skills to make huge plays for us and he will. he's gonna be a huge asset for us as the year goes along.

i gotta admit. i haven't been the biggest tt fan so far, but i will not let people forget last year's end of the season miami game. tt was 29-36? 329 3tds-0 ints. let me ask this...how many yards did sammy have? ....and if he can put up those numbers, why can't he be called upon to do it more often? let's not forget the idiots that were on the sidelines... sure, we don't have sammy and woods, but i bet rico will be putting more on him (tt) and we will be able to compete. i am calling for a wc this year!...and that don't mean west coast. call me anything you want but, if this staff takes it opponent by opponent, we can do 10-6. i think they are thinking ahead and not wanting to show what they may bring the next week. other teams that are supposed to take those playoff spots will take some lumps,so....i'm all in. let's go to atlanta, get some sacks and punts, go deep early and often and i think the run game bounces back nicely. i'm going with bills 30-24. shady for a buck 20 mostly in the second half after tt has some success with passing in the first. we got this! 5 sacks, shut down the running game, pressure ryan .....yum

i was for re-signing taylor as there were really no options other than the one the jets chose.....but after seeing peterman's poise, maturity and ability, if we go 2-4, i hope they make the switch while there is still some slight chance of meaningful games in december. i am much more at ease with him being 2nd as opposed to ej. i hope this kid gets a shot. unless tyrod can get us 4-2 or 5-1 and really looks like he's coming into form, i wanna see nate. it's probably fairly obvious that tyrod won't be here next year so why not. with this defense and putting nate in with matthews, jones, clay, oleary and bringing up brandon reilly....not to mention shady out of the backfield, i think they could run the wco like clockwork. justmyhumbleopine.

Taylor loathing - A dissenting opinion
billsredneck1 replied to Foreigner's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
whatever happened to this rico/tyrod connection of rico knowing tt so well and how to taylor an offense around him. instead it looks like another coach whose gonna install his own system regardless of his qb's skillset. a wco/timng based/quick pass play offense is hardly tyrod's strong suit. and for those poo-pooing nate with the whole nobody vs. nobody playing time....did he not go 9-11 for 81 with the starters from both teams in that last preseason game,( in a surgical fashion i might add) that was the most successful display of wco we will see all year as long as taylor is under center. me thinks mc coach might wanna give rico a talking to. -
When Will Tyrod Be Benched?
billsredneck1 replied to Fadingpain's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i think if we go 1-4 it's time for a change. while i am in no way comparing tt to ej, i was glad marrone had the balls to put in orton and almost resurrect a chance at the post season. i hope they don't wait until that chance is gone if tt isn't getting it done. the main thing that changed with the ortorn switch was basically going from having to give ej 5-6 seconds to make a decision to orton;s avg of 2.5. i see that same quality in peterman. it doesn't matter if he has chemistry built with the wrs, he's quick at getting the ball out and making quick decisions. i just can't see tyrod ...past ,present or future creating a rhythm and establishing a chain moving ,efficient offensive drive....consistently. we currently live or die by shady's ability on early downs or tyrod's ability to bail and make plays.... or the occasional wide open target that he can hit. if we had one series tyrod and the next series nate, i think it would look like nate was putting on a clinic on how to put together an nfl offensive drive. we are going nowhere until we can get that kind of 2.5 second quickness vs. the 5 second sandlot ball. i hope the change comes while we may be able to salvage the season, if tt doesn't change a whole lot starting sunday, then mock picks will be the thing by thanksgiving. thank god for our defense and that we aren't piled up with a bunch of afc opponents right off the bat. i pray we get past denver . afc wins are a must. if we see another carolina performance from tt this week, it will start looking like an uphill battle from there. if we go 1-3 ...or 1-4 then in my mind this staff is solely focused on next year....which severely lessens my respect level for this staff. btw , i wonder what the decision/release time of tt compares to his peers at this point...... -
McDermott's Subplot Emerging?
billsredneck1 replied to theRalph's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i sure hope it happens before 2-6 or something like that. if before and there's a spark and a couple of w's, who knows?....plus it could get tt to up his game. if it;s after that point, like evey other year, we'll be discussing the draft at thanksgiving. -
i thought tt was the only choice for us this offseason...but i am so done with him now....but the thing that sucks is the change won't be made until it's impossible to have a winning season...in typical bills style. i think peterman is a prefect fit for this offense and we should make the switch now. it's obvious with tt and this schedule we don't have a snowball's chance so screw it, i say roll the dice now.
-
up til recently, i had the same optimism as the op. ...but with the headscratching cuts and recent changes,i don't see any semblence of continuity going into the opener. i am almost hoping tt's protocol does not have him cleared for game one. i actually think nate's ability to make multiple reads, have a quick release and being able to hit guys that he does not have to have an established chemistry with may be the only way to move the chains. if we start tt and he can't hit anybody and we lose to the jets, we are screwed. starting something like 1-4 means the season is lost. before all this, i thought we could steal a few games,ie...chiefs,chargers,cincy, anthers, bucs and maybe get to 10-6. now the wind has left the sails.

Step right up. Don't be afraid! Go on record right here!
billsredneck1 replied to Beast's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
the success of these guys does not depend on whether or not they find a franchise qb. it is how they took what they were handed and what they did with it...THIS YEAR. last year with any other coach than the tard we had ,we would have been a wc. if they take a nose dive this year after all the moves they have made.... that tells me all i need to know. -
I am starting to give up or lose the feeling I had when this staff was hired. They have made quit a few moves but none of them addressed our biggest problem which is RT. I was not at all happy to see B.Reilly got cut because it feels like sending Hogan to NE all over again. Now they get rid of Seymour who may have been someone to save our a$$es in case of injury or at least a good nickel.....for who?.......W T F? I'm starting to get less and less hopeful for this season....and it's quickly heading toward the dismay i knew Rex would bring.... Again W T F? This is starting to smell like a good piece of meat that was in the fridge is turning bad....Please God...not again!!!!

Why isn't Groy starting at RG
billsredneck1 replied to 1st Ammendment NoMas's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i'd throw groy in at rt tonight. we have no...zero....absolutely nothing for talent in that spot. they are going to have to keep a second back in there at almost all times or relegate a te to block...ala lee smith. -
Tonight: Give me your 3 make or break guys....
billsredneck1 replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i'm really worried about safety depth. based on what we saw a couple of years ago, i thought rambo would be good. byrd is still out there plus miller went through some hard stuff personally along the way. if they cut him i am gonna lose all respect and hope that i had for this staff. i really thought they were great hires, but if they start pulling whaley crap......oh God please no -
Jordan Matthews chest injury (update: Sternum chip)
billsredneck1 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think he's gonna be a good, clutch catch contributor. Didn't he win the best TE in college award?...I forget the name of it. I may be the only one with this opinion, but I feel pretty good about our receiving weapons. Two good pass catching backs, two good tight ends, Matthews and Jones. I think Reilly will be our next. but better version of Chris Hogan with Streeter helping out. The only problem I see is the old tired saying about Tyrod having time to build chemistry. I'm sure Nate could find them all.
