  1. ummm not in houston, but rochester maybe
  2. i really believe our only chance at the post season is if we can somehow beat the pats and then go 10-6. here's my feelings on how things will go elsewhere. afc west i can see the bolts running the table and at 10-6, i believe that would give them the division. i can also see kc going 10-6 but hopefully they drop one they shouldn't, like this upcoming jets game or somehow go 9-7. i don't think oakland has a chance. afc north i really think baltimore will lose 3. lions, steelers and cincy. i'm not worried about cincy they have a tough stretch ahead. afc south. i can't see either the jags or the titans losing more than 2 of their remaining games. both at 10-6 i can't see 9-7 claiming any wild card spot. we have got to...(oh God dear please!) beat the pats once and there's no way that in the 2nd to last game, will they be resting starters, especially against us. if we lose on sunday, the new question should be when and where to give peterman another look and/or chance to redeem himself. i think 10-6 and the tie breaker over the chiefs is our only way in. this is all just based on my having looked at each teams remaining schedule so i'm not claiming to be mistake free.
  3. i think with tt's skill set, why not work out of the shotgun? i think on running plays ,it gives a sec for shady to find a hole and on passing/read option plays it gives tyrod a second to read and evaluate. i cannot see any negative in working out of the shotgun. with tt under center and a rush coming. he's gotta drop and look through progressions....which isn't his strongest skill, then decide and more often than not to....well you know. i think we should be in the shotgun always.
  4. back in the day of bbmb ej threads, tranny did the same thing. i thought maybe he had come around but maybe not. i will agree that i don't have any more love for rico than he does but tyrod is just not a qb that any oc can build a game or team around. lynn tried to do it last year and did have some results and while i'm sure rex didn't help things with twin sperm rob, it just wasn't gonna happen with tt and it still ain't. i will root for tyrod to have a monster game this week and pray we hit the post season, but this week will be the ultimate test on tt. we all know the pats will stack and bring the heat in the middle and right side and make tyrod a qb...like we ain't heard that before. they will keep everything in front of them and kill the long ball chance. ironically this is also the best possible game plan for us defensively. bust up the middle...move some guys around and stunt and have hughes or a blitz from the end and hit brady hard...keeping everything they do in front of us and short.( hoping yarborough gets plenty of snaps) it will be...or should be the same plan for each side. it will just depend on execution. granted we don't have brady but, we will see what tt is made of. if he puts his head down and takes the 10yard sacks or is constantly checking down, it will be enough 3 and outs for the pats to pull away. i think the mcbeane team should stay but the minute i see rico look to favor tolbert (assuming he's playing) over cadet, he should be fired with castiilo the day after week 17. it's put up or shut up time. one key would also be to put shady out wide and let him fly down the sideline. it's time to sack up and make a statement. i have zero faith in rico, but will root for this team no matter. a win means 10-6 and screw the tiebreakers.
  5. tyrod takes a dirty hit and goes out....no flag on an obvious late hit. peterman comes in and goes 23/27 315 an 3tds...shady breaks off long one and we get a 55 yd.fg for the win...there's your 31-28 i don't know about this "hot" raven team. detroit needs this game...outscores flacco. pittsburgh....ummm no win for the raves here...and a good clothesline from burfict could do the job for cincy and i think indy may surprise. i'm not too worried about baltimore. i think 8-8 is where they'll end up.
  6. i'm hoping detroit(no.1) because they are still in it...pittsburgh(no.2) and a dirty hit from cincy's burfict on flacco for (no.3)...and i don't think indy will be a pushover either. here's to hoping for 8-8 for baltimore. i also think the bolts are going to win the west. if we somehow get lucky and get one of those pats games, we will make it. 10-6 is very much a possibility. more koolaid please
  7. hopefully he can help open up gaps in the middle for milano to blast up the middle or stunt lorax in that gap. 2 seconds and body slam brady when he steps up in that pocket when hughes forces him to.
  8. i'm wondering....without doing the research but, is it possible to be definitely eliminated from the wc this weekend?
  9. this equals forfeit...same game plan for last 15 yrs.
  10. bills upset pats 24-21thanks to turnovers.....and the 12th man....and shady...pats tie but tipped pass hyde int...bills fg wins. i'm a pyshic.
  11. maybe off topic, but at some point peterman will get a chance to redeem himself and in one or two outings look like montana compared to tyrod. i just can't wait to see a real nfl qb on this team. i don't care if i get flamed.
  12. hopefully we can stay where we're at and get baker mayfield.
  13. not to disrupt the arguments but, i'd like to throw a few thoughts in here. last year against miami tt went 26/39 329 3td 0 int. i may not be exact...if not very close. he can do it...and he can do it with kb., thompson, holmes, jones and tate. you can take one thing to the bank. on each and EVERY play they will send someone from the right side and the middle. every single time. we have to make them pay by getting the ball out quick and taking long shots. we can't depend on clay, oleary and matthews in the middle or slot for short gains. we need that for sure to move the chains, but the way to beat this team and score points is to go deep and often. on defense we need to stack the box and send the heat on every single snap. it seems like every coach we've had depends on the front 4 and are afraid to blitz brady. i say screw that. we can play man with poyer and hyde to protect so we can send someone every time. i'm hoping milano up the middle can put brady on his back all day long. they gotta hit him hard. we have the capability to beat these guys. this game is going to tell us every thing we need to know about the coaching staff and tyrod.
  14. well my optimistic side says we can still finish 10-6 then the ravens are not a problem. they will drop 2. if they leave yarborough in and come up with an attacking, blitzing scheme, we could pull this game off at home vs. brady. we can play man with poyer and hyde covering the back end....it is doable. we need to get cadet involved more and just keep moving the chains. if these coords. can come up with some twists, we could do it bills24/17......or we stick to our base front four dependency for the rush and get rolled. if we can somehow split with the pats, we can put the hammer down the rest of the way. you never know.
  15. agreed...on defense blitz, blitz and blitz some more...send milano up the middle...stack the box. i'd rather take a chance on man coverage with having poyer and hyde for help. but blitzing is something this team refuses to do. on offense maybe we can use some of the ole rico magic like...handing off to tolbert on 2nd and longs...
  16. i'm thinking maybe it's not the kids....anywho, i'm preparing for another week of leslie frazier thinking he can get pressure with four, sometime before the end of the game and alex smith will have time to change his socks back there. hoping it's just not too embarrassing.
  17. i hope after losses to kc and ne , he gets to start the rest of the way. 9-7 won't get us past baltimore unless they have a meltdown.
  18. this is what i'm hoping. i would sure love to be able to use that 2nd first with 2 twos and a three, we could really get some talent. i'm also praying rico and castillo are gone before we start fixing the lines.
  19. i would rather be working the smoker today, but i'm working on (what's gonna be if i don't drink too much)..a picture perfect turkey. however ...on topic, i'm grateful for the day.
  20. i am not going to say i'm sorry for wanting peterman because i believe he has talent and the traits of an nfl qb. if/when we lose the next 2, i want to see him play the rest of the way. all the coaches did against sd was pathetic.
  21. . yum! i'm in chili. let me know when they go on.
  22. the only thing i will get or take away from these games is that i'm watching actual professional play ....unlike....well....
  23. i didn't think of case....hmmmm
