[Vague Title]Can someone seriously tell me
billsredneck1 replied to Watkins90's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
he had the game won! cover the kick and it's over....but yet almost 20 years later people are saying it was a stupid move....makes me wonder how old some of these posters actually were then.... -
i would like to see mayfield or rudolph, but at the same time i'm perfectly fine with handing the start next year to nate and giving the rookie some time to acclimate. i really think he can execute a proficient offense. i believe in the kid. he can throw. screw the chargers game. that's on the coaches. no way in hell we would have won that game anyway. i really hope they make the most of their picks. i can't see them trading the farm or making someone like cousins the highest paid qb. trust the process.

transplant will come out eventually and say tyrod was handcuffed by the coaches. he spent 3 years saying that and banging the drum for ej. may be a bit off topic but, as much as i want dennison gone, i can picture the following happening. in the offseason mcd says keeping rico equals needed continuity. he (they) believe enough in what they see in nate to go forward with him and rudolph. however they will be looking for a veteran presence. i'd say they get rudolph with one of the first picks and are happy to keep and use the rest to bolster the roster with young talent. ...and quite honestly, i really wouldn't mind that. over the course of the season with this defense, i think nate could have gotten better than the typical tyrod results. jmo

he was getting ej shoved down his throat. that's why he quit. i'd be happy with that 1st round. -

i started on that board in 2004 and quite honestly i still think it was more entertaining than here. anywho.... this last game was like a punch in the gut to me. we could have won that game. the entire second half we couldn't get anything going and our d got gassed...again. i can't for the life of me figure out why this coach did not have the stones to switch things up a bit. why not put nate in for a series here and there....run the two minute drill....throw something different at them. instead we get two quarter tyrod and two yard tolbert. i just don't get it and expect more of that this week....pathetic. i'm praying they get in , but if they don't get up 2 scores early we all know how that goes. -
that last sentence put the exclamation mark on a complete waste of time posting.

you do reaalize our qb played like **** and lost the game don't you ?...or did you only watch the first half?
-
too little...too late...maybe next year...wtf
-
today....?
-
whatever....what were the results again?
-
if they would have mixed in nate for a couple of series today to see if they could get a spark going, they could have had a better chance at winning...how could anyone argue against that? there is no argument and this staff blew this game by letting this same tt scenario play out. gutless...this loss is on the coaches. there is no reason we had to lose this game. if they play the same crap they will get beat again next week and i will lose all the hope that i had in this staff. congratulations....you moved up one spot in the draft. who the hell will want to play for a staff that doesn't care about winning....not me. we(the coaches) gave the game away again. good bye rico, castillo, frazier and if he doesn't grow a sack...mcd. this was a disgrace
-
he killed us today.....
-
when you watch you will see a couple of times when someone was waving their arms wide open and alone. and if you look at tt's ball placements, you may rconsider what you consider drops.
-
he's also the main reason we were out of the game. it's the qbs job to keep the offense running, not running 15 yrds backwards and pumping up the opposing d.
-
i'm not going any farther than this. peterman should have played the 4th qtr at the latest to get something going. as long as they keep trotting tt out there, i could care less what happens to this team. he makes them SUCK. we could have won this game. go ahead and start tt in miami and let them kick our ass right out of the playoffs. this coaching with rico and castillo with no pressure frazier can all go out the door and if mcd don't have the mcballs to step in there and be the HEAD coach then he won't be here long either. thanks for the embarrassment. what a waste. mike tolbert one more time and i will flip. they could have put tate back there.
-
peterman starts the 2nd half and engineers a few drives that rico has been praying to succeed at all year long but can't with tt. we end up with the upset 31-28. peterman starts at miami and we win 31-17. from there who knows what but the drought is over. the staff feels they can go into next season comfortable taking their chances on nate, but pick mayfield or rudolph. they keep and spend all their picks wisely. we sign a viable free agent vet for insurance. trust the process. ...and if you want to flame me for this post...wait two weeks.
