McKenzie is faster.. at least in terms of game speed. Depending on our offense, we could use both of them in the Deebo role. Slot, Motion, Screen Game and in the backfield. There’s a way to find them both targets, even if Crowder is the main slot WR in our 3-wide. KT can also play outside, if I’m not mistaken.

My favorite part of this is that, should we even have a conversation about potentially trading for a guy like KT, based on Beane’s comments.. it seems he would 100% talk to Josh about it. And I would love to hear that convo. KT is a talented player, but has a ton of red flags in terms of him being a team guy. He’s not a burner, but might be one of the quickest twitch open space athletes I have ever seen. If he could be had for a Day 3 pick(s), and the character concerns are assuaged, he’d be worth it for the 4-5 bubble screens/open space plays per game under a rookie contract for 4 more years.

Going to be so gross when he goes to KC for a 4th.

He’s everything we’re looking to add to this offense but I can’t see us trading for a guy our former Assistant GM and OC don’t want any part of.

Im sure they aren’t all hookers, but when I’m swiping around on Tinder in Atlanta, there sure seems to be quite a few who are. -
Bills Sign former Titan OT/OG David Quessenberry

Hasn't Teller been meh in pass pro though? Dude is a mauler in the run game, but would he ever been as good here, with our offense? -

Dawkins and Morse are very good. Not elite / top 3 at their position, but likely in the next tier. Saffold is a proven vet who's, at worst, a solid OG. Bates and Brown both have a lot of potential.. especially Spencer Brown. I think Brown could be that stud, developed with the help of Kromer. I do get the concern in betting on unproven potential on the right side though.. Wouldn't hate taking OL high in the draft. Quessenberry, Doyle, Ford & Boettger is ok depth, but the OL is heavy betting on a healthy Saffold being better in pass pro and the right side of our OL making a jump. -
Von is, of course, going to want that. It would be coaching malpractice to play him that much. Keep him fresh for big moments, big games and the Playoffs. We want 3 elite playoffs with him. The rotation is how that happens… and Von knows that, despite whatever he says.

That would be an epic fail on the other 10 players if a defense with Poyer, Hyde, Milano, Edmunds, T. Johnson, Miller, Oliver, Rousseau, Jones etc., can't hold down their side of the ball with Jackson on one side and a non-top pick CB opposite him until Tre comes back.

Deebo and AJ Brown Skipping Offseason Workouts
SCBills replied to Rigotz's topic in The Stadium Wall
Deebo is a fun player, but seems kind of system specific. I'm not as high on him as it seems most are. 49ers seemed to use him perfectly, and a team like the Jets are probably a good fit (although he apparently doesn't want to be used that way), but he doesn't really give me any worries like say, Tyreek Hill or AJ Brown. -

They may want to brand as the NFL team of the Carolina's, but I spend a decent amount of time in Greenville, SC and can tell you nobody there cares about the Panthers. Pretty sure the same goes for Charleston. I see more Bills gear in Greenville than I do Panthers. -
That was much better than I expected

** Private Workout ** Tight End Trey McBride, Colorado State

I watched a couple Coastal games this past year and this dude just pops off the screen -
We'll find out just how good Mahomes is. Kelce is still there, and they will have a good WR group, but Hill/Kelce in their prime was something we've never seen before... as impossible as it gets to cover.

People call them middling because they haven't really shown they can be a threat, and Carr doesn't scare anyone in a Conference with multiple elite QB's. Losing to the Bengals in the WC Round isn't exactly impressive...it's basically what they seem to be until further notice... a good team that will be a playoff contender, but if they make it - Carr vs (insert elite QB) becomes an issue for them.

Get this trash topic off the main board ::instantly realizes posting this bumps it back up::

Im genuinely curious what people view his impact on the defense, and further, the team would be? We’d likely be given up another premium pick, at least, to move up and then how much better are we with Kyle Hamilton on the roster - especially given that this is yet another pick not going to protect Josh or give him weapons… and we’d likely be losing other picks that could be used to do so. If he’s generational and directly helps us against the other contending offenses, I’m open to it… but Josh is the team. We took off last year when he went god-mode… We can’t allow him to do that for 17 games. Playoffs all bets are off, but I’m looking at this one year deal laden offense and wondering how people would be ok trading away even more ammo that won’t go to help the guy leading our entire franchise SB hopes for the next decade.
-
Agree. We obviously can’t take on the entirety of that contract. If the Panthers want a pick (maybe also a player) in return to eat some of that contract… I’d listen. No way I’m offering pick 25 though.. so if that’s what it takes, I’m out.

There may be a drop off, and that’s ok… Were talking about Safeties here. We can’t pay everyone. Did our two safeties help us against KC when it mattered? Or against any other top notch offense… Indy & Ten come to mind… We aren’t going to have All-Pros at every position. We also can’t pay every position. We’d have zero problem extending Poyer and Edmunds, if we want to, had we not signed Von Miller. But Von Miller on a defense against KC in the Playoffs is a huge net positive for this unit even if you remove Poyer & Edmunds from the roster. I really like Poyer as a person, a Bill, and a player… but I’d rather use his money elsewhere. Beane said we need to get faster in the Secondary… so far all we’ve done is let Levi walk. As good as Hyde & Poyer are, they aren’t burners either. We vastly overrate some of these guys because our defense is built to suffocate middling QB’s/mediocre offenses. Sorry, but it’s true. Investing in a guy like Von was a move to change that… and like other defenses who have game changers on it… you have to rely on cheap talent at other positions.
-
Fwiw, I do think it does make sense for us. It’s a risk, but we’d be betting on our top notch facilities/training staff and the fact that his usage rate wouldn’t be remotely close to what it has been. He’s the ultimate answer to the two-high safety looks.
-
I wouldn’t say it’s a huge liability.. it’s a huge unknown. Both are young players that we don’t know what they are yet. Brown because he didn’t play for a year and then was thrust into a starter role as a rookie. Bates, because we’ve been enamored with him being the ultimate utility backup. I would have zero issue with us drafting OL high, but I don’t know that it’s fair to already label those two as a liability.

Jets Message Board speculating that the Bills may be eyeing a CMC trade. No idea what their thread is based off though as I don’t see any linked source.

I like this team going BPA (within reason) RD’s 1-4, and then hitting OL & DB every year RD’s 5-7. However, if we’re going to have a DB and OL poached off the Practice Squad, we may have to rethink that strategy. Can’t be wasting picks with the big contracts we have on the books now.

Dwayne Haskins killed [Edit: struck by vehicle]
SCBills replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
Schefter stays posting some incredibly bizarre stuff lately. “Struggling to catch on..”…. Oh, ok, thanks for reminding us how he wasn’t doing so well in the NFL before tragically dying today. Vital information, Adam.- 472 replies
