Allen can't sling the ball if teams are able to slow us down by keeping both of their Safeties deep. If Allen has a guy that he can dump if off to that can turn a 5-8 yard gain into 20+... that will force them to bring their Safeties up, allowing Allen to sling it. I may be totally wrong, but Breece Hall - if we draft him - isn't a guy they plan on handing the ball off to 15x per game. He's a guy they want out there to punish teams when Allen is forced to stay disciplined and check it down by the opposing defense.

I think it depends who's there at 25. I'd much rather have a WR, but if there's a run on them... I could certainly be talked into the top playmaking RB as opposed to the 6th or 7th WR.

Here’s why I loathe keeping Edmunds this year.. and most of it isn’t necessarily about him as a player. 1). He doesn’t live up to what we expect. We don’t sign him. He walks. We get nothing. 2). He balls out behind a high potential DL. We want to sign him long term. Can’t afford his top tier LB contract demands. I don’t necessarily see any long term Bills/Edmunds pairing that makes sense after this year. IMO, he’s not the difference between us winning a Super Bowl or not. If he’s not. Move him for assets, or to strengthen another position this year.

I don’t disagree with you on taking Hall at 25.. I’m ok with it but don’t love it. That said, we NEED to get away from any dependence upon “Allen’s legs” during the regular season. Playoffs, fair game, unleash him. If they think Breece Hall and a better OL does that, I’m fine with it. Im certainly higher on it than taking a non-Sauce/Stingley corner or a linebacker that may barely play this year. Fwiw.. and I hate that I keep defending Hall at 25, but they’d be drafting him as the 2-deep destroyer… much of which means he’s a passing threat underneath.

Beane’s comments on what he would draft in a RD1 RB described Breece Hall. He has home run speed, but isn’t a blur.. You don’t run a 4.39 and have people worry if you can house it or get the corner. Id admit he doesn’t look like a 4.39 guy on tape, but I think his body type could have something to do with that at 6’1. What he shows on tape is a decisive cutback ability and elite receiving traits. Wheel routes, dump offs, slot.. he can do that all at a high level.

Do not want to see a RD1 Defensive Pick, unless it's an unlikely trade-up for Sauce.

Not necessarily in love with Breece Hall at 25, but Singletary catches the ball, then turns up field, then gets what he can. Breece Hall is fluid in his pass catching, meaning that unlike Singletary (who is ok in the pass game), he catches and goes in one motion, and then looks to make a big play with his speed and cut back ability. Not sure if that makes any sense, but what I see with Breece Hall is a guy who can take those Allen checkdowns against 2 deep safety looks and do damage... whereas Singletary just gets what's there.

It’s all over Twitter. Takes some of the shine out of the Adams move if they immediately move Waller.

Jameson Williams is 100% playing this year.
-
Cant say that isn’t a worry. It doesn’t sound like he’s going to slip out of the 10-15 range but who know what to believe right now.
-
Im all in on Jameson Williams. Willing to go #25 and next years RD1 to move up and get him. He’s that good. Diggs, Davis and Williams would be in the running for most elite trio in the NFL. They would also be positioned very well contractually with Diggs locked down long term, Davis with 2 more years on his rookie deal and then Williams would be locked down long term on a rookie deal.
-
He’s such an interesting player to watch.. not at all what I expected when I first checked out a highlight tape. Ran a 4.39, but doesn’t look that fast… that being said, he’s routinely running away from people. Big dude for a RB, sudden in his cuts and looks to have great hands in the passing game.
-
Pretty sweet draft.. No elite QB's and all the good players are injured or medically flagged.

I can’t believe we’re legitimately debating the merits of moving up to 7, and all that may entail, to take a MLB…. If I’m Josh Allen, and we’re trading away multiple premium picks for another shot at MLB, I’m pulling an Amber Heard on Beane’s bed. Devin Lloyd better be an absolute freak show at MLB if this happens.
-
Id be ok with any of them, sans Hamilton… just don’t view chess piece Safety as worth trading up to 7. 1) Williams (I think he’s Tyreek Hill elite) 2) Thibodeaux (Pass Rush > Coverage) 3) Sauce/Stingley (Prefer Sauce, but both could be elite NFL corners) FWIW, the more I think about it.. moving up to 7 makes a lot of sense if the trade compensation isn’t insane. Can’t see any combo of players we would draft at say 25, 89, Edmunds, late 1st or 2nd next year being more impactful than one of Williams, Thibodeaux, Sauce or Stingley over the next few years - especially if we assume we can’t pay Edmunds and draft his replacement anyway.
-
I think people could certainly hear leaks of potential deals in place on Draft Day. Doesn’t mean it’s coming from Buffalo’s side… the Giants have people with connections to media people as well. I could absolutely see us moving up in the Draft if we feel there is “that” guy. Sounds like he may be guessing we move up for a linebacker.. I have no idea how on earth that could be the pick. There are no LB’s remotely worth the #7 pick in this draft. We’ve also done quite a bit of due diligence on RD2 graded linebackers, which is where I would see us going to replace Edmunds if we trade up. Id be willing to go 25, 89, 168 and Edmunds or 25, 168, Edmunds and our ‘23 2nd Rd Pick if it gets us Sauce or Jameson Williams. Anything more than that and it gets a little dicey given we’re not trading up for a QB and there aren’t really a ton of consensus elite players in this draft. It shouldn’t cost an arm and a leg to move up this year. Those are the only elite players in this draft that I see making sense for us. I fear we could throw Hamilton into the mix, and I’d have to talk myself into that one.
-
I definitely see why we could move up this year.. There are no big time QB’s or consensus can’t miss players, so the premium paid should likely be lower than normal years. I can only really see us doing this for Sauce, Hamilton or Jameson and then grab our linebacker in the second. Certainly makes sense. We plan on drafting late in RD1 next year anyway, and here we are this year being “meh” on most players that may be available when we pick….. if there’s a guy we feel is a massive piece of the puzzle, and it takes 25, Edmunds and next years 1st, I say do it.
-
I will vomit all over the living room if we trade up to 7 for a linebacker. What the literal **** is this rumor!? Legit getting annoyed just entertaining the thought. Im ok paying a pretty heavy price for Jameson Williams, but that’s really it… I think he’s that good. A game changing Tyreek Hill type superstar.

First off, Tre will be back before “the end of the season”. Pretty soon we’ll have people claiming Tre won’t be back into the final year of his contract. Second, even if he misses the first 6-8 games, he will be back. Im fine with taking Booth, but Breece Hall’s talent bumps the RB room up much higher than any mid-late round pick can in relation the talent currently in the room. We can find CB’s in the 3rd RD that should be solid in our system until Tre comes back.
-
I wouldn’t say CB, because Tre will be back. Tre, Dane and Taron is a pretty solid trio and while someone like Booth (if available) might take it to another level, it seems the staff is high on Dane, and for good reason. Probably RB. Not saying we should draft one at 25, but Breece Hall’s potential dwarfs anyone we have on the roster.

I could be wrong, but as a Bills fan I’ve obviously seen a lot of McKenzie and with one of my best friends being a die hard UF fan, I’ve been to and watched a bunch of Gator games.. and I’ve never seen KT hit the striding speed of McKenzie. KT also seems to be used a bit differently and is a bit more rugged in his style than McKenzie, so perhaps if KT gets in the open he does have a higher gear that I just haven’t seen. Regardless, I’m all in on trading up to a 3rd for KT if our staff feels he can fit in the locker room. His potential is higher than anyone in our WR room not named Diggs or Davis.
