  1. If Moss isn’t in the plans for much, outside inactive back on the 53, why not get back a pick? Especially if he likes Duke or Blackshear in that role. A RB’s rookie deal is a huge piece of their value. Moss was a 3rd, but only has two years left on that rookie deal. A 4th or 5th as depreciation is probably fair. I actually really like Duke Johnson as RB3. I’d be fine if he had to fill in for either Singletary or Cook for a few games.
  2. I was actually impressed with GMFB this morning. They spoke about the seriousness and horrific nature of the allegations, but actually stated Araiza’s denial and left open the option that he could be innocent. That’s far more context than most Bills reporters, WGR personalities, podcasters and prominent fan twitter accounts like the Bills Mafia Babes & Brother Bill have given.
  3. If the Bills can get back a 4th or 5th for Moss… I get it. If the plan is to use Singletary as the feature back, with Cook as the change of pace back, I’m not sure where Moss fits in. Singletary can get short yardage.. he’s not a small back. We need to be loading up on picks wherever we can given Allen’s contract.
  4. Unpopular opinion, I guess... but I'd much rather have Duke Johnson on the 53 than Blackshear on the off-chance Moss is traded.
  5. A team that liked him coming out of college. He still has two years left on his rookie deal, which is pretty important for a RB.
  6. Fwiw, young guys like Gabe are who Cole was speaking out for..
  7. I think GM’s probably have a pretty good sense of players that will be coming available by now. Not crazy to think Daboll/Schoen have a handful of targets in mind.
  8. What would you like them to do? Hear about an allegation towards one of their players and immediately cut them?
  9. Just tell anyone who disagrees with your spot on analysis to watch the Browns HC, GM and Owners vomit all over themselves in their pressers. Bills showed 100x more contrition and concern and they don’t even know if the allegations against Araiza are true.
  10. I think he has a point about what Bruce said. Dude played through cracked ribs in the playoffs and here comes Bruce Smith to tell you you don’t care about your teammates unless you do this. Other than that.. agreed. I like Cole. Like the stand he took. But he never stops talking…
  11. I have no idea what she wants, but the lawyer acts like he has a score to settle with Araiza from a previous life. Just bizarre the way he’s acted.
  12. Today?.. Our POS journalists like Fairburn and Skurski going after Beane and McDermott.
  13. I think naming Araiza the starter and cutting Haack was the trigger. They, potentially, wanted to see what the lawyer would do when they did that. As far as not cutting him immediately … Maybe they truly believe Araiza…. Reading between the lines, they definitely didn’t say they don’t.
  14. I actually buy this, and it doesn’t change my opinion of Beane at all.. because I truly believe he has no clue if Araiza did it or not. That makes sense to cut Haack after learning about this, to speed up the lawyers timeline of playing his hand. Thus allowing us to be in the position we are now, which is the ability to get a good punter off cutdowns or via trade if the lawyer pulled the trigger. Also, avoiding this happening the day before a game. It’s calculated af, but I’m not passing any moral judgments because Beane likely feels like most us do… sickened by the allegation, but with no clue whether any of it pertaining to Araiza is accurate. I think the holier than thou crowd may be a little surprised at how many times that approach to a player (banking on allegations never going public) panned out.
  15. They did the necessary thing, which is framed as “the right thing” for PR purposes. Nobody has any idea if Araiza did what he accused of doing. You don’t, I don’t, and the Bills Front Office doesn’t. Im assuming they were aware that Matt Araiza had sex with an underage woman at a college party who was allegedly portraying herself as college age. I have zero issue with them standing by him, and/or believing that would blow over. Also, the gang rape allegation dropped - which is the primary driver of the outrage - of which it doesn’t sound like anyone knows the level of his involvement (if any - victims lawyer included) aside from he’s alleged to have potentially set the stage for it and/maybe participated. Bills FO had the media and Twitter mob banging down their door and took their time to work through this situation.. coming to the conclusion they wanted, just not in the timeframe they demanded. With all due respect…**** the Twitter mob and **** the media. Human beings are involved here and people who have the least access to the facts are the ones making the loudest judgments. Bills handled this about as well as they could after the clumsy initial statement. They even took ownership of that mistake. Move on.
  16. Love Poyer as a person and player, but tough decisions need to be made with the Allen contract hitting. Poyer is one of them. He walks after the season. Singletary is another. He walks after the season. Also, I think one of Edmunds and Milano remains. Either Edmunds walks or Milano is traded. Hopefully no hard feelings. We simply can’t pay big money to a Safety, Running Back and both Linebackers. Hamlin, Benford and Jaquan Johnson (if re-signed) or a draft pick compete for the S spot opposite Hyde. Moss, Cook and a draft pick or low level FA take over at RB. Maybe Blackshear if he can stay stashed on our PS this year. Bernard bumps up to starter and/or we draft a linebacker. At least that’s my opinion..
  17. Nah. You’ve decided Matt Araiza is guilty before hearing all the facts/both sides and solely seek confirmation bias. You may be correct. You may not be. However, the one thing you are not seeking is justice. You’re displaying bias and advocating for vengeance.
  18. “Fluff”… that lawyers main mission, allegedly on behalf of the woman he is representing, was to make sure Matt Araiza never plays football. Yet, nobody can question why he’s contradicting himself, making false statements, holding a personal grudge against Araiza/Araiza’s lawyer and then saying Matt Araiza could have made this all go away with an apology and donation? None of that seems newsworthy to you?
  19. They did it to themselves. No, not at all.. but they should be able to ask basic questions that elaborate on Matt Araiza’s defense and parse through insane tweets and statements by the lawyer who was trying, and is now successful, in forcing the Bills to release their player.
  20. Bills are not going to face any backlash. In fact, check most circles and people are praising them after what happened in Cleveland.
  21. The press is useless. Pretty sure most of the reporters took the accusations at face value and believed them from jump. They all have agendas and gone are the days where they seem to be able to convey impartiality. Any reporters who may have questions, likely feel that there’s too much self-righteous anger coming their way if they dare question anything about this situation.
  22. The fact he was so condescending, almost like a “how dare you come at me like that” response to his legal rep, followed by a lie about money according to texts he released and saying an apology and donation could have saved him makes me believe Matt Araiza is more so guilty of wrong place, wrong time than what he’s accused. I believe something terrible happened to her that night, but I’m really not sure Araiza was involved to the extent alleged. He was let down by his lawyer, and this woman is being let down by hers. Two young peoples lives destroyed, and two adults hired to protect them are standing over the rubble of their futures.
  23. This lawyer is a vile, pathetic human being and the last part of the statement makes absolutely no sense.
  24. This lawyer is such a POS… what tf is he even talking about?… Say sorry and make a donation and his parents could sit the stands and watch him play? That doesn’t sound at all like a reasonable compromise for someone you allege was involved in the violent rape of your client. Do all lawyers like this come across like they have a personal vendetta against the person they file a lawsuit against? Genuine question?… is that normal?
