  1. Ehhhhh…. Allen Mahomes Rodgers Brady Herbert Burrow Lamar Stafford Russ I guess he’s in competition with Cousins and Carr for that last spot, but I think I’d take either of them over Dak. Then there’s whatever Watson will be in his return.
  2. Beasley would low key be prefect for them based on who’s out there. Dak isnt that mobile, his OL is trash, his arm isn’t great = Needs a guy who can get open quick. Sign Cole and tell Ceedee to win outside. Maybe they stand a chance at fielding a competent offense when Gallup comes back.
  3. People pointing out how Lamar hit deep shots all day on the Jets, like SEE!!! I even heard analysts doing it. Drives me crazy when people use the deep ball as proof a guy can QB. Most QB’s can dink, dunk and load up for a deep throw. What separates the elite passers is the ability to read defenses, make progressions and throw in traffic. Lamar struggles with all of it… and nothing he did today changes that.
  4. Barkley is an absolute monster!
  5. Kyler is such a mediocre QB with some splash plays. He looks so overmatched by the Chiefs Defense today.
  6. Raiders got screwed on that late hit call. Herbert slid way late and the defenders tried to miss him.
  7. Great play by Levi Wallace on Chase to prevent a TD.
  8. Honestly, I’ve been thinking about this. Would you rather be Allen or Burrow/Stafford the next day after these games? Allen seeks contact in the open field but (knock on wood) rarely gets lit up in the pocket. OL is solid and he is elite at evading pressure.
  9. That was a filthy play by the Miami secondary!
  10. Pats driving. Man.. the velocity difference between Allen and Mac is jarring…
  11. If Lamar turned down a 6yr / $290M contract with $133M guaranteed, on the reports that Jackson wants a fully guaranteed Watson deal… yikes. Ravens are in a really tough spot here.
  12. Lots of people (podcasters and analysts) who study the Bills think Benford could transition to a high level Safety. That’s not really a knock on him, just more of a roster view that tries to find a way to get him on the field when CB is so loaded. When Tre comes back, you have Tre and Dane vs Kaiir. Maybe Benford is Richard Sherman, but Dane has proven to be a solid corner and Elam has a high ceiling and great work ethic. Benford will have to be elite and leave no question to win that battle. Next year, Poyer and Johnson are both FA’s. That leaves us with Hyde and Hamlin under contract. Safety seems like a logical off-season transition for Benford.
  13. LOVED Von’s usage… keep the dude fresh so he’s a monster in the postseason and gives us (at least) those three guarantee contract years of dominance. I have to imagine if he’s getting a sack or two per game, that very much helps the coaches convince him to only play 50-55% of snaps per game in the regular season. Now just stop running Allen in a blowout regular season game and we’re cooking with gas in terms of player preservation.
  14. Rams game is a perfect illustration of why DL >>> DB’s Its great to have both, but if the Offense is one dimensional and has zero time to stand in the pocket, the secondary will usually look elite. This is why Beane obsessively invests in the DL, and it looks like he’s now gotten it right. This might be the best DL in the league. Elam has the highest ceiling, but Benford and Jackson are better fits (currently) for our zone heavy defense. As mentioned above, I’ll be interested in seeing the DB snap breakdowns against the Dolphins with all that speed at WR. Game seem tailor-made for Elam to show why we drafted him.
  15. I’ll be there, myself +2 from ATL
  16. Care to elaborate? We haven’t even seen this OL, under Kromer, yet. Kromer is one of the best in the game. Dawkins is above average. Morse is above average. Saffold is a solid vet. Bates/Brown are question marks with high ceilings. Quessenberry is a solid vet if we need to go to him. We’ll see what happens tomorrow night, but when we look around the league.. I’m not sure what people are expecting us to have at OL. We have an elite coach, a couple above average players, a couple solid vets and two young/high ceiling guys. After the top 6 it gets dicey… as it does for everybody in the NFL.
  17. Im sure Poyer knows the deal. I doubt he’s surprised this happened. Maybe this is structured so that they can offer Poyer a 2 year extension, but if I had to guess… he knows he’s playing his final year in Buffalo and wants to go out a Super Bowl Champion, then cash in one last time.
  18. Couple observations: Knox is still ascending. Has all the tools to be elite, and barely got legitimate reps in college. Knox likely becomes a big piece of this offense. McKenzie out of the slot is a take the top off / intermediate route weapon. With Diggs and Davis outside, Knox and Cook can EAT in the middle of the field.
  19. I saw/heard the comment that 27% of tickets are being bought from NYS zip codes. That doesn't count people like me, my bro and dad flying in from ATL and all the SoCal transplants. Should be an amazing turnout.
  20. Didn’t this guy just move overseas because “America is ******* crazy”? Cool.. I’ll spend halftime checking out the stadium. Not trying to hear songs from before I was born by a washed up rocker with the corporate-acceptable edgy opinions.
  21. That’s why I said “if the game calls for it”… I highly doubt there will be too many games that do so. For example though, he had 16 carries against the Pats in the Playoffs last year.
  22. Donald against anybody is usually a mismatch, but I’m not sure I share the same concern about it being “our guards”. It seems like there’s been a lot of handwringing this preseason about the OL due to injury and watching our backups/street guys play most of the snaps. Im cautiously optimistic to see what a Kromer led OL consisting of Dawkins-Saffold-Morse-Bates-Quessenberry/Brown looks like.
  23. Could also be the Bills not showing their hand. McKenzie and Crowder are very different players. Of course, the Rams will plan for both as both should get reps, but no need to give them a heads up right now.
  24. I think he should absolutely be able to handle 15-20 carries per game (if that’s what the game calls for). He’s a bigger body than most give credit for. I’d also think Singletary wants that to show teams around the league that he deserves to get paid in the off-season. Bills seem to be high on Moss, and of course have Cook in the mix, so I don’t see why we’d balk at limiting his workload in a contract year / likely his last year in a Bills uniform.
