  1. 100% agree, but the goal of a team like ours is not just to win Week 3, it’s to be healthy heading into the playoffs. We already are pretty cautious with injuries, and with the talent/depth we have, I could just see us being that much more cautious now. That said, I hope he plays, because I don’t want to have to count on Diggs going super saiyan every week if our defense is down 5 guys.
  2. You’re right.. Thad is being a drama queen again, but he does look ginger on it. Being Week 3, do you put him out there when he’s not 100%… because while he doesn’t look terribly injured, he’s clearly not a full go.
  3. Maybe Gabe David is confident in playing, but Gabe Davis still looks a bit hobbled.
  4. Have to say, this doesn’t look great for Sunday.
  5. Definitely hoping you are correct. No way of knowing right now, but anytime I hear "seeking a second opinion", it's usually because they reallyyy didn't like what the first opinion was.
  6. I’m confident we can win Sunday without Hyde, but this immediately makes me worried he’s trying to avoid being done for the season.
  7. Legitimately asking.. why? He won’t be signed to take away snaps from Diggs or Davis. We have a timeshare at slot with McKenzie and Crowder. He’s definitely an upgrade over those two and provides outside WR insurance that we currently don’t possess. This is assuming he will sign for a moderate contract that we can fit easily under the cap for a half a season.
  8. Also, re: running game... Once the Playoffs start, is anyone under the illusion that Josh Allen won't be running the ball? I love a regular season gameplan like the one we deployed vs the Titans. Zero reason to run Allen right now. That said.. in the Playoffs, he will be unleashed. If anyone is worried about a running game, don't be... We will have one come playoff time. What we don't have is outside WR depth. Shakir did not look ready in his limited snaps. Kumerow and co., can fill in nicely in the regular season against Tennessee.. not trying to depend on him, if necessary, come Playoff time.
  9. OBJ, and it's not even close. Sign a FA WR for a minimal one year cap hit vs Trade for a RB with a huge contract? We haven't even figured out how to use James Cook yet.
  10. The bolded part is 100% spot on. Nobody feared the Bills Defense last year. They talked about the sum of the parts, they brought up their statistical ranking etc etc.. but everyone knew they had weaknesses. Everyone knew that they were inflated due to the Offenses they faced. This year... you can tell by the way they are being discussed by analysts, by fans.. they are feared. Nobody fears a defense that can't get to the QB. Everyone fears the defense that can... and the Bills Defense may be the best pass rushing defense in the entire NFL.
  11. It typically is... I'm including Taron Johnson in the 7.
  12. Disagree. Based on McDermott's phrasing of the guys practicing, I'm expecting Oliver and Settle back. We haven't even seen half a game, let alone a full game from our starting DL front. No Phillips hurts, but the Defense will run through Von - Jones - Oliver - Rousseau - Settle - Basham - Epenesa - Edmunds - Milano - Johnson. Worst case scenario, it's up to the Front 7 to protect Elam, Benford, Johnson and Hamlin. Luckily, there is a ton of talent in this Front 7, and this staff is elite at coaching up the secondary.
  13. There's never a good game to be down your entire starting secondary, but it's quite comical that this is the game we are staring down the barrel of starting two rookie outside corners and two young backup safeties against the most explosive big play WR room in the entire league. Going to need the Front 7 to be an absolute unit out there.
  14. Could be.. but it's such a credit to Beane that we could be without Tre, Dane, Hyde, Oliver, Settle and Phillips... yet still field a Defense consisting of Von Miller, Greg Roussau, Daquan Jones, Tremaine Edmunds, Matt Milano, Jordan Poyer and Taron Johnson... all above average to elite level players at their position.
  15. Yea, Buckhead is trying to separate from the city of Atlanta, but being about 80% of the tax dollars for the city.. highly unlikely they allow that to happen. I'm not married to the area, it's just convenient for me right now, but it's like any other major city nowadays.. I'm in a pretty nice building, high rent with 24 hour security and concierge... still got an email a few weeks back from management that there was a domestic dispute resulting in a gunshot fired. I don't even think about going to Lenox Mall/Phipps Plaza. I'll likely move out to the burbs of Atlanta in the next few years.
  16. All nice areas... the South Forsyth part of Cumming is gorgeous.
  17. Low key love how this has played out. Miami/NE was a defensive game, and Baltimore dominated until they started falling apart with injuries/exhaustion in the 4th... That said, McDermott/Frazier should absolutely have everyone's attention with the entire NFL world buzzing about Tua/Hill/Waddle.
  18. I'm in Buckhead, but my fam all live up your way near The Avalon... We all get together to watch games, so yell that on a Sunday and I'll reply with one back!
  19. I live in Atlanta, and that day was absurd heat out in LA. No sun beating down inside Sofi, but it was still hot/humid in that stadium.
  20. Pretty wild that we've done this without Oliver or Settle for most of the two games as well. Everyone, rightfully so, is expecting Oliver to be Aaron Donald-esque (to a degree) with so much attention being paid to Von... yet here we are, dominating without him due to the Phillips/Buffalo effect, Rousseau becoming a DUDE and both Epenesa & Basham making jumps in their level of play. That play where Rousseau lined up over Brewer to, essentially, tell Tennessee that they are ending the half with no points on that drive was .... just beautiful. A glimpse of how much of a game-wrecker he can become.
  21. GMFB is still a good watch. I have it on at the office most mornings. IMO, they’ve done a decent job going through major cast changeover. Not an easy thing to do and it’s still a charming, watchable football show. Re: Kay Adams, she was “girl next door” attractive and knows football. It was a good fit. Now though.. she’s older, looks very much “LA” and in Los Angeles, every other woman is as, or more, attractive than her.
  22. Will never understand why people say stuff like this.
  23. Agreed on Shakir. He looked way out of his element Monday Night. Doesn't mean he won't be good, but he was noticeable... and not for good reasons. Mainly just an inability to get himself properly aligned pre-snap. Cook isn't Breida/Mostert... he has speed, but is more of a glider. A huge piece of his speed element is the ability to stop & go/change direction while maintaining speed.
  24. Thought James Cook looked really good late in the game. He, at least, showed the speed he’s capable of. He also ran between the tackles to get that on tape. Khalil Shakir looked rough. Not going to get on him for not making any plays, as Keenum and backups were in during garbage time looking like they were just trying to get the game over with. That said.. he looked completely confused during a couple of the snaps with Allen. Benford looks like a stud out there. He even has Richard Sherman tweeting about him. Elam also looked solid. Needless to say, massive test for the rookie corners against Hill/Waddle this weekend. Rousseau & Edmunds look like they may be making that jump… OL pass pro looks phenomenal through two games.
  25. Hopefully just an abundance of caution. Even if he’s ok, you can’t mess around with neck/head injuries.
