Can’t really think of too many in the league I dislike. Rodgers would probably get on my nerves if I didn’t think he was an important voice during the absurdity we saw over the last two years - even though he didn’t handle it that well. Brady I went from hating, to respecting, to now feeling bad for. He’s the NFL’s MJ, with Kobe’s mentality. He was still playing at a high level last year… I don’t think he had any reason to believe it would all fall apart this year (if it even has as he’s in the terrible NFC South)

For the player, yea. For the person, no.

I just have faith that we wouldn’t acquire a guy / nor would a guy act b***hmade in this WR room, on this team. If Jeudy truly plays scared we would never go after him and/or JA, Diggs, Davis, Hall, Von etc would be in his face until he mans up. Same reason I have no issue with OBJ … Beane via JA and co. knows the temperature of the locker room. They won’t go after guys who don’t fit.

Id love a trade for Jeudy, and I’d give Davis assurances behind the scenes that he’s our guy as long as he keeps putting in the work … but a 2nd and 6th seems high if Toney (with one more year on his rookie contract) went for a 3rd and 6th. That may be correct, given Jeudy has a #1 skill set, albeit playing like a JAG so far, while Toney is more of a slot/chess piece player. But the cost control piece between the two does seem noteworthy when it comes to compensation.

Torn between posting “get this ridiculous thread off the main page” and fully knowing my post bumps it back up.

Wild that Brady vs Lamar looks like a battle of bad QB’s. It should also be noted that Evans refuses to catch deep passes that hit him in the hands this year.

That's not the end all be all as we've seen with Gabe Davis. KT's game is not as a field stretcher.
-
If we were to trade for a letdown of a RD1 Pick, I'd rather see if a couple Day 3 picks gets it done for Jerry Jeudy. KT, for as talented as he is, isn't a deep speed threat. Jeudy is.

That's legitimate compensation being sent out by the Chiefs for Toney. Does this foretell anything in regards to OBJ's mindset? I've always thought the Chiefs and Rams were the main competition for him. Maybe Ravens, but he'd be a fool to go there on a prove-it deal. I liked Toney coming out of Florida, but he's been a highlight here or there followed by no production and injuries.

Broncos getting trade calls for Jeudy and Chubb

I'd throw a mid-round pick out there for Jeudy. He's on the 3rd year of his rookie deal and I'm pretty confident in Chad Hall, Stefon Diggs and Josh Allen to bring out the best in him. -
Eagles make big move. Trade for Robert Quinn

They don’t have QB cap hits coming up. Ok, maybe we’ll get a RB before the deadline … not a lot of teams out of it though. Josh Jacobs would be great, but the Raiders probably still feel they’ve got a shot with the ease of their schedule. Can’t just make people trade us guys. -
MNF: Chicago Bears at NE Patriots - with Manningcast!

Not that I like or dislike it, but the NFL just done with roughing the passer penalties? -

Apparently every player on the 49ers offense is Siran Neal today -

Cooper Rush Cowboys? Eagles have played one good team (Vikings).. to their credit, they destroyed them. -

This game is good. San Fran is crazy physical. -
I would definitely be ok with a heavy OL draft, but what teams really have monstrously good OL’s anymore? Bengals and Chargers went hard to address the OL. Chargers got bit by the injury bug and Bengals are a tire fire. Chiefs have allocated a ton of resources to the OL and Mahomes was under much more pressure against us than Allen was against them. (I know our DL is better, but just pointing that out) Eagles? Maybe?

CMC was the upgrade. Panthers got a haul that makes no sense for us to give up. Of the names out there, none of them make any sense for us. They’re all guys on par, or worse, than Singletary. All have less potential than Cook. If we ever need to activate Moss, and he’s not up to it, just bring up Duke Johnson. I don’t really see us making a RB move. OL/WR… yes.

Ngl.. I’d be furious if I was a Cardinals or Broncos fan, stuck with long term guaranteed contracts for two QB’s that aren’t taking you anywhere in the modern NFL.
-
Beane isn’t going to turn us into the Rams, nor should he… It would be a complete disservice to Josh Allen, who’s just about to enter his prime years. You have to balance going for it year to year, with the knowledge that you’ve built a contending team for the long haul. So far, he’s struck that balance. We’ll see if we trade for CMC, and what the compensation would be, and if there’s a restructure.. But trading away major draft capital for a one year rental at RB would be completely antithetical to everything Beane has ever preached.

Im sure there’s more to it. My response is to those who constantly make that point to allude to Tom Brady being selfish and/or the responsible party for the divorce.

People really in here simping for Giselle because her husband, who’s official job requirements span August - Feb, at most, wanted to go back for another year? Didn’t realize we had a bunch of mid-40’s retirees on the board.
