Until proven otherwise, it’s the Defensive Line .. and it’s not particularly close. McDermott doesn’t become a liability if our Defensive Line is getting after the QB. I don’t expect them to be a monster run stuffing unit, because they’re specifically not built to be that .. but they are built to rush the passer with the amount of resources and bodies we put towards that in a game. If they get it together, McDermott doesn’t have a chance to hurt us with a panicked in-game decision.

Defense is built to stop average and below offenses.
SCBills replied to TD716's topic in The Stadium Wall
No, it doesn’t warrant an elite player contract. The comparison to Edmunds is because we see the otherworldly potential but, at some point, it has to click. He has to show out this postseason. Same for Oliver or I’d float his name for a trade this offseason. Enough is enough and the DL cannot be the reason we don’t get to a Super Bowl. If it is, blow it up. -

Something flips for the Chiefs in the playoffs lately. A by “something” I mean the refs stop calling offensive line holding. The OP is 100% correct. This Defense is designed to slow down/stop 70-80% of the league, even without any elite players. And that’s not nothing.. look at the Bengals this year. But when we face a good offense, led by a QB who’s locked in, it’s the same song and dance. Case and point.. we accepted a penalty to get the Rams to 3rd and 17, and our defensive philosophy was not to stop them — instead, it was to play safe, allow underneath, rally and tackle, then see if the Rams make a mistake. They didn’t, because their offense is good and Stafford was locked in. 4th and 5, and we give it up. Forcing long drives and hoping Mahomes/Chiefs make a mistake in the playoffs is not a strategy. But, too often, that’s how we play it.. especially when refs are blind to offensive holding in the postseason. -
Is this worst weekend day of the year for sports?
SCBills replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall
What would happen if Army makes the CFP, I wonder.. Game is scheduled for this week every season, right? Would they just have to forego the pseudo bye week for their opponent? Id imagine Army would be ok with that to play this game, in this slot. -

And I’m pretty sure next weekend we have an absurd overload of big games with NFL up against the CFP. -
I would never argue Diggs desire to win. His clutch ability in big games, maybe. But what is this post about? Didn’t Josh Allen literally play out that season with a partially torn UCL that caused him to have to change his throwing motion and limited what types of throws he could make?

Diggs didn’t have to answer that, and when he did, didn’t have to answer it in the way he did. Truly feels like there’s still love for each other, but it just reached its breaking point for whatever reason.

Eric Moulds doesn't let his moderate to severe herpes simplex define him

He has a positive approval rating currently, despite what censorship loving Bluesky communists have to say. Clearly the American public is willing to wait and see. And fwiw, relative to grocery store prices, it wasn’t all about the prices.. some of it was the constant gaslighting from the administration, as if Americans just don’t understand how good they have it .. same gaslighting we saw all four years and continue to see with the “we don’t know what they are, but they’re safe and no threat” drones.

Have to take these videos with a grain of salt, but she seems somewhat reputable.. The end of the video is wild.

Toss up for me between: BYE Home Ravens Home Chiefs or Home Anyone else vs Home Broncos/Colts Home Anybody but Ravens At Chiefs or Home Anyone else Of course there’s a 1% chance the Ravens win the North, Bengals sneak in and we have to go Bengals-Ravens-Chiefs

Year in, year out, our DL is garbage when it matters, yet people still want to pay Rousseau 25M per… Im going to need to see something from this DL moving forward before I feel comfortable investing in any of these players. Rousseau is very good.. and maybe he’s worth that to a lot of teams.. imo, unless he becomes a guy who can actually make game changing plays when it matters, I’m not sure he’s worth that to a team that has to pay an elite QB. Luxury players vs Necessary players. And right now, we have zero “necessary” players on this DL. Either step up this postseason or I’m ready to blow up the DL. Re-sign Cooper & Hollins and the Offense is basically set… then explore trades for Oliver and Rousseau and invest heavily in the DL via the draft and get new FA/young blood in here. Or they can finally step up and I’ll be cheering as loud as anyone to extend Rousseau and appreciate the guys like Jones, Oliver and AJ who are under contract next year. Im still open to the fact these guys have upside, but I have exactly zero patience for this constant letdown of a unit.

Agreed. Just today we have the Senator-Elect from NJ and former Maryland Governor ringing the alarm. If for nothing else, at some point, someone will shoot at these things. Then what.. an SUV or bus sized object falls out of the sky into a house like Donnie Darko? We know they’re lying to us. You can’t tell us you don’t know what they are, where they’re from, whose they are, what they’re doing BUT also tell us they pose no danger. That doesn’t make any sense. And they know we know they’re lying, yet they keep lying. On the 5% chance they’re not lying… well, then that’s legitimately terrifying.

Weather is a big reason. Rain all half tonight and snow in Buffalo. But there’s more to it… Niners can get pressure and play tight man. We either can’t or won’t.

Really frustrating how accurate this is when we couldn’t or wouldn’t adapt.

Stafford is officially getting on my nerves now

Puka is not real And Stafford looks equally as bad tonight as he looked good against us.

What a disgusting thing to say… Im sure she won’t have this same energy if a militant pro-lifer smokes a Planned Parenthood CEO. Does Elizabeth Warren think politicians are immune from vigilantes? Actual warped vigilantes… not whatever f’d up patsy nonsense went on in Butler. -
He likely saw SMU buy their way into the ACC and then a year later is in the CFP. Now, he won’t always have the cake schedule SMU had this year avoiding the top 4 conference teams, but in the era of NIL (and it sounds like he’ll have a ton of money to throw around), he can easily snag a top portal QB, buy some OL/DL and skill positions and immediately challenge for a playoff spot if he hits.
