Dolphins could release Calais Campbell to play for contender.
SCBills replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don’t think so. Yes, he’s subject to waivers, but a guy of Campbell’s status is likely respected enough in league circles to call his shot. I agree though, it’s a long shot, unless we can convince him he has a much better chance to win a ring in Buffalo over Baltimore (which in fairness, he probably does). Its almost agonizing how much he would likely help this DL… and DL has been what’s held us back year after year. -

This. Does anyone think our defense will step up? If they don’t, Burrow and that Offense would go nuclear on them and if our Offense slips up once, it could be game. -

Yup — if we’re rooting for the one seed above all else.. Go Texans (obviously) Go Ravens Next week, Go Bengals Ensures that all of KC’s opponents are playing for something. -

Brutal That’s 6 points gifted to the Chargers due to a penalty giving them 3 and now a penalty giving them 6 instead of 3. -

I think the Steelers clinch the North with a win. Which relegates Baltimore to the WC, which is probably what fans prefer for the Bills if we are the 2 seed. A loss, however, gives them something to play for against KC the following week. -

Maybe.. If the Broncos lose tonight, it gets wide open for the Bengals. Bengals play Broncos next week and then would have to hope the Chiefs don’t have the 1 seed wrapped up. -

If the Broncos win, they’d have the tiebreaker over the Chargers, which would likely ensure LAC is the 7 seed if they beat the Pats and Raiders to close out the season. Not sure how the Broncos would play it final week of the season if they play the Chiefs, should the Chiefs need the game. Broncos would have nothing to play for. Downside if Broncos lose is it opens the door for Cinci with the Broncos last two games. -

Democrats better have a good plan to take down JD Vance in 2028, because after that, it’s not looking good…

Week 16 - Patriots at Bills Game Week Thread (Game at 4:25pm ET)

Jefferson has position flex and can play DT or DE. If they’re rolling with Smoot, Rousseau, Epenesa, Von and Solomon, that’s two guys in Smoot/Rousseau that are good edge setters and then three guys who are better against the pass. -
I'm really starting to love this WR room. We quietly got better

What I can’t line up with this though is the fact Cooper has missed time since we traded for him. It would be one thing if he was active every game and putting up numbers or occupying the defense to allow others to shine. But this Offense, with Cooper, Coleman, Shakir all in and out of the lineup has become a monster. Now against a KC of Baltimore in the Playoffs, yea.. we need these guys. But if there was a blueprint laid out pre-Cooper, nobody else has come close to replicating it. I think it was a perfect storm of Josh having zero chemistry with his receivers early on, no Cooper yet, Shakir hurt in B’more and out against Houston, Brady still feeling out the offense and the OL getting tripped up badly by some defensive pressure disguises that they’ve since diagnosed and addressed. -
It’s akin to Allen if he constantly flexed out his hand that’s been in a glove since basically the beginning of the season and who knows what exactly he did to it. Or if Allen constantly stretched out his arm after partially tearing a ligament in his THROWING SHOULDER. Ok, yea he flops… cool. So does Pat. Kansas City fans don’t even realize Allen has played through serious injuries because he minimizes them to the lowest degree possible. The fact he didn’t miss weeks, if not months, with the UCL is insane.
-
Truth is, everyone is just sick of Kansas City and honestly - yes - that skews some of the conversation, especially when KC was meh last year and their biggest opps (Bills) were decimated by injury in the playoffs and then, meh again, this year, winning on luck. KC is not a fun team to watch. They’re a grind it out defensive team that either catches breaks or the pressure they don’t fold under causes other teams to fold. And every year, we seem to get gimp Mahomes around this time. Baltimore fans have dealt with Lamar missing the playoffs entirely. Bengals fans have dealt with Burrow going down and dooming their season. Bills fans have watched Allen play through some serious injuries that he doesn’t get the benefit of because nobody talks about them. So when we see the team we’re all trying to beat, and constantly come up short against.. some due to the injury luck KC continues to have in the playoffs every year (Bengals two years ago / Bills last year), we roll our eyes out the back of our heads when Mahomes does this ankle routine. If it was someone like Baker and it happened once, we’d have no issue with it, correct. Mahomes, on KC, repetitively, it’s annoying to people already annoyed by this team. If they win again, they’ve earned it. I think they’re reaching the end of their run though. They’re a dying empire and Mahomes seems to have stagnated a bit while others keep ascending. But they need to be taken out, and until that happens, they’re still the kings (and drama queen) and all we can do as fans of opposing teams is be annoyed about it while KC fans justifiably laugh.
-
Not many people here wish serious injury on anyone, so I’m not sure what you’re on about. What we do think is that Mahomes is a drama king and yea, we hope he gets hit a lot by the Texans good pass rush. Seriously injured, nah, not me.. but if he’s out there, he’s fair game. Didn’t see much in the way of sympathy when Josh Allen had a partially torn UCL two years ago that limited his passing ability for half of the year (into the playoffs) Oh wait.. maybe that’s because nobody outside Buffalo really knew about it. Because he doesn’t make sure he’s the story by gimping around.

Ravens Twitter easily the most toxic fanbase on X. Chiefs Kingdom is annoying, but Ravens fans are legit angry… all the time.

Do we know if he’s subject to waivers? See conflicting info, but if he is… this seems pointless. Hes not getting past the Ravens. They tried to get him at the deadline. -
Part of it is injury and inability to get on the field / build chemistry. Some of it is also the fact we have three running backs that are really good receivers out of the backfield. Whats the point in lining up Samuel back there when any of our RB’s can do it. Who’s he playing over in the slot?.. definitely not Shakir or Kincaid. He seems like a guy who can still help us, but there’s just no need to force him out there when Cooper/Coleman/Hollins demand outside snaps, Shakir/Kincaid demand slot snaps, Knox still warrants time and our running backs are huge parts of the passing game.

Could be.. that would be a very early 2000’s Facebook status update type post.

Chiefs fans are tagging Mahomes with this and hoping it’s bulletin board material, but I love it from Settle. I hope that Texans Defense comes in with bad intentions against this drama queen. Based on these comments, they just might.
